Cute cafe in downtown Beloit. You stand in line to order and get a number and find an open table. I ordered by bagel to go and sat outside. Waited about 10min in line and then about another 10min for my food. Bagels were yummy. You could also buy a 6 pack of beer, packages of coffee, and other pastries and snacks to go. Seemed like a popular place on a Saturday morning, but also not much else to do in town in the morning. Parking easy to get

This is the only authentic bagel place close to Rockford Illinois!! Luckily, it is very very good! You can see from my reviews. I've had bagels all over the country, and these are pretty good! Considering the dearth worthy competition they are a 10 out of 10! They give you the bagels, and then you toast them yourself, which is great with me, because I like mine double toasted. High-end grass fed butter too. I can't overstate the importance of having access to a good bagel place. Before my wife excepted a job in Rockford, I made sure that there was a bagel place nearby. Sure I have to go to another state but it's worth it. Bonus: the unsweetened iced tea is very good, if you are a real tea drinker, you will appreciate it! Double bonus: terrific rice crisp treats! Fun fact: the nice artwork on the walls is for sale!

Went here on a Saturday for lunch and were surprised that there were actually bagels available to try. In the past when we had been here at 10am, they were all sold out. It was a pretty calm environment for lunch with options of tables to sit at. Someone was quick to take our order at the counter, and the food was ready by the time we paid! Highly impressed for ordering a hot sandwich. We ended up doing a make your own sandwich on the multigrain bagel with turkey, gouda, and lots of veggies. It was a very impressive stack by the end that I felt like I had to unhinge my jaw to get my mouth around. It was quite tasty however. The only thing I wish is that the bagel could have been toasted and the cheese a little melty. It also came with a pickle spear and an M&M oatmeal cookie. We also got the ultimate chicken bistro sandwich. There was a lot of pesto on it, but it shockingly wasn't very oily. There were also nice chunks of chicken and vegetable, but was surprised by the cauliflower and broccoli. Overall, it tasted very good and it also came with a pickle spear and cookie. Then, to try more of the bagels, we got a cranberry, multigrain, and the new apple cider bagel which seems more like a donut. Hoping the sweet bagels will be just as good as the savory.

We stopped in twice. Everyone was friendly & helpful. Cute little place. We had a bagel & cream cheese and a butterfinger frappe drink on the 1st visit. Our 2nd visit we had an everything breakfast burrito and a caramel apple vanilla chai. We enjoyed everything.

There's typically a cloud of confusion when talking to these workers, all but the older blonde who seems to be the owner or manager, so customer service isn't bad but it's not great either. I once got a grilled cheese that literally took them 20 minutes to make and wasn't completely melted when we got it. When I ordered it, the girl looked at me like I was silly and actually asked me if I wanted it hot or cold. WHY WOULD I WANT A COLD 'GRILLED' CHEESE?! Another time I ordered a BLT & the bacon was so hard and chewy it was painful to eat. Today we got egg salad sandwiches, hence finally writing a review. There's almost nothing on this, and one side of the bread was soggy. The other side was a weird sized end piece. This sandwich is like $8! Do better. (The sweets & Mac N Cheese are literally the only reason to come here until they up their game a bit.)

Bagels and More is such a delight! The Pros: + Something for everyone. Omnis, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free. + I appreciate that they use re-usable silverware and place settings, so it's not adding to environmental damages. + They have art for sale! Even if you're not buying any, at least you can look at it all you want while you're inside! + The employees are extremely nice and patient. + Everything I've had so far is absolutely delicious. Cons: - The hours. They are only open until 3:00pm on weekdays, and I think 2:00pm on Saturdays? That's sooo early for my lazy butt! Hahaha. - They're online menu isn't the same as the in store one, but that's not that big of a deal. All in all, can't recommend visiting this place enough if you're in or near Beloit and looking for a light snack or something sweet!

Salt bagel with olive cream cheese
    Allison G.

I had the most delicious experiences at Bagels & More during my visit to South Beloit! I went with my family for breakfast and ordered their salt bagel with olive cream cheese and wow, was it good! As an olive lover, I was SO excited to see the olive cream cheese and it did not disappoint. It was one of the best bagel combinations I've had! The inside is nice and there's plenty of room to sit. When we went, it was super busy and staff member who took our order was working hard but not super friendly. I totally get it because they get busy and I'm sure it's stressful. It was a bit chaotic because several different people were trying to take our order and seemed to be confusing each other. Either way, they did a great job and we appreciated them making some delicious food for us. Overall, a great and yummy experience. We will definitely be back next time we are in Beloit!

We went here specifically to try the bagels. But unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed. They have nice offerings but the bagels themselves weren't so great. They tasted too dense with not much flavor.

This place is hopping! It was a Saturday morning around…read more10:30am that I arrived. There had to be 15 customers that picked up or ordered in the eight minutes I was there. I ordered the Fox with a Twist for $10.49. I got a garlic bagel, I would try something different, probably everything or salt. I also kept the plain cream cheese and I would sub that next time. I really liked the turkey, there was a lot of it on the bagel. $10.50 is a lot for a bagel sized sandwich, but there was a lot of turkey. I enjoyed the bacon and pickled jalapeños. I could not taste the tomato but was glad it was there, but I was disappointed with the caramelized onions. There were not many, and they had almost no flavor. The sandwich also needed salt, something to draw out the flavor. I also got a French toast bagel for my son. It was served warm. That was $2.49. I heard about this deli because it was used for a catering event I went to. The bagels are delicious!!! The best around. The bagel hole idea is also clever, great snack for a catering tray. I would grab a bagel if I was in the area, but not sure I'll repeat the sandwich at that price point without a bit more punch of flavor.

The inside is small but cute with an ordering counter, to-go items, merch, etc. There isn't anywhere inside to sit and enjoy but bagels are nicely wrapped to carry out. While waiting for my order to be ready, the staff were hustling to keep up with taking orders, preparing food, and were constantly bringing out fresh bagels to refill flavors. I ordered The Basic B with crispy bacon, egg, and cheese on a Garlic Bagel. The bagel was extremely fresh and I could taste the garlic flavor infused into the bagel itself as well as the topping. The eggs were fluffy and the cheese added the perfect, melty flavor. My husband got the Everything bagel with Lox cream cheese. He said he could taste the fresh salmon flavor in the cream cheese and their everything bagel house seasoning had a good mix of flavor. Overall, I am so happy I finally got to try Elle's Bagels! This is clearly a neighborhood favorite as it was consistently busy when I visited. The pricing was very fair, everything was fresh, and staff were very kind/patient. Highly recommend coming out to give them a try!

Bagel: 4.0 Toppings etc: -0.7…read morePrice: -0.8 Wait: -0.8 Founder's story: 0.5 Total Score: 2.2 I've seen alot of hype about this place on social media so randomly decided to give it a try while in Madison. The whole experience reminds me of the 1980s movie "The Experts" (the flick where John Travolta met his late wife). Basically this cold war era movie has a couple of dudes trying to run clubs in NYC get kidnaped by the KGB and sent to Russia where they have a whole town of KGB agents living like Americans - but it wasn't quite right..it was like 30 years earlier in a random town in the Midwest (much like Madison, Wisconsin). That's the best way to describe it. Some of the vibe was there, but there was just something off about it. First thing that was a shock - the price! egg & cheese bagel: $9.00 . For reference, Bagel Boss on Long Island is just over $5.00. I get it - bagels are a scarcity in Madison Wisconsin (as is any decent food, but that's a different conversation) while it's a commodity in NYC metro area. I asked the woman why the sign for the menu shows $8.75 and she said they raised the prices. Well, any self-respecting yankee knows a bagel place should either have: 1) prices in different colors written on a black board, or 2) prices with the numbers and letters that can be changed on a board. Next, I was baffled by how long it took and how long i had to wait for bagels. That doesn't fly on the east coast. Look, I get alot of the university is kids from NYC metro area so you have to cater to them so a bagel shop is important. As for the bagels - looked okay at first, but the egg and cheese was really weird...it was mostly white with like an overcooked almost hard boiled yolk and i think they butter the bagels beforehand. Secondly for a scallion cream cheese bagel it showed the true shortcoming of the bagel where the exterior had a good crunch but the interior wasnt chewy it was too hard so when you try to separate the bagel it kinda of breaks. the taste isn't quite right. Anyway they deserve credit since the founder mentions Hot Bagels in Fairlawn in his story and met with Jaques Pepin who is awesome. I'll probably pass on returning as I kinda really dig Bagels Forever in Madison.

Of course it's also open for lunch. There's coffee to go with bagels along with other kinds of sandwiches. Bagels are the main things of course. It has coffee with tons of syrups to choose from. The bagels themselves actually may be kind of an afterthought to be honest. Anyway these are still good. There's a lot of things on the menu. It's about $5 to get a latte. They have a few non dairy milks. It's about $8 for one of the bagel sandwiches, which is actually a good amount of food. There's quite a few combinations you can make. I got the Vegetable Sandwich, which comes on a choice of bagel. This includes cucumbers, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. Get a combo with a drink and chips. They also have tons of cream cheeses, and plenty of other toppings so you can get a pretty hearty breakfast or a lunch. Good place, but it has kind of limited hours. It's only open for breakfast and lunch. There's plenty of things for meat eaters, as well as vegans and vegetarians.
