Finally got to the room at 6:45pm and at least the room seemed newly remodeled from what I remember the room looking like before. Bed was comfy, AC was working especially since it as 110 outside, bathroom very spacious. Casino was busy, lots of options for gambling and good variety of places to eat from nice restaurants to casual ones. Cocktail waitresses were few and far between and took forever. That's one way to make you keep gambling while waiting for your drink. Location is good since it's on the strip and walkable to many restaurants.

My eyes started burning within 30 min, developing a headache, and scratchy throat. Probably wouldn't bother most I assume but for me this is not getting off to a great start. Sensor activated water bottle got me feeling like I can't touch anything. There is nothing resembling coffee in the room anywhere and being from Seattle This is a serious problem! We selected this hotel for the lazy river, I was not impressed. Far too many people to make it enjoyable. The location on the strip is decent. New York New York across street. Vending machine on the floor was convenient. 375 for 20oz water bottle.

While we were here this time we indulged in some ice cream and really enjoyed the hand made ice cream. It really tasted handmade with bits of real strawberries in it. Last time we were here it was a special occasion and we went all out. We walked all though the strip just to get here to ride the gondola. Boy was that fun. No, it wasn't the same as the ones in Venice (I know because I've been in Venice and ridden one of their gondolas), but you know that going in. You're in Vegas so I didn't expect the same thing. I was looking forward to the Vegas version of this classic ride and I got it. Was it over priced? Yes. At the same time you get what you pay for. A fun ride around the camels in the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. There was supposed to be an photographer taking our picture so we can buy at the end, but his camera malfunctioned so we didn't get the shot. This was a huge disappointment as I'm all about pictures and I really wanted the opportunity to see the glamorous shot the professional photographer took and if it captured the. Moment like i had I would have bought it. Fortunately we weren't totally relaying on him. We brought our own camera and took the perfect shot with the gondolier in the background and the bridge when you come out. It was perfect. You didn't have all the busyness of Vegas in the background. I'm overly thrilled with my photo, I got exactly what I paid for a fun ride and the perfect shot to frame and remember this day. And yes, I really did frame it and it sits on my piano. As long as you know what you're paying for, it's totally worth it. And now that you've seen my shot and know that it's taken at the end of the ride when you come out from under the bridge, you can get the same shot too. Have fun and enjoy Vegas and the Venetian. Maybe even walk around the quaint streets and have some ice cream after your ride.

For the Hotel/Resort: The basic rooms here are better than the majority of other strip hotels. I personally think its top 3, even a small upgrade here gets you a very spacious room. I have stayed in the regular rooms and suites at both The Venetian and The Palazzo. The venetian rooms are more updated, but the Palazzo rooms are good too. The self parking has a lot of spaces but ingress/egress is easier at The Palazzo. However the valet parking here is faster compared to other resorts. The rideshare pickup/dropoff is good too. The casino floor is bright, clean, and good gaming variety. For the slots, I like that they have both old and new machines. I like the older "top dollar" and "run for your money" machines. I also like some of the new machines like KONG . They also have a great variety of video poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps! I have yet to play at the tables here but they have a good variety. The beverage service is good, but coverage/timing could be improved. I feel like some parts of the casino floor do not get as much service. They also have a great variety of food and restaurant options for all budgets. My personal favorite here is Estiatorio Milos. A close second would be SushiSamba. However, I have never had a bad meal here. I also recommend Sugarcane, Chica, Cote, and Smith/Wollensky. I still want to try the other options here! Overall great place to stay or check out. I always leave here feeling great!

The box spring to my bed was missing, a lot of my wooden furniture was scratched, a file cabinet I had taped shut although it was empty had been cut and opened. A large piece of luggage handle was broken and one of my kitchen chairs cushion that you sit on was missing. I'm not quite sure if I got everything in my boxes. This was the worst experience I ever had and I paid over $3,000 for the movers. Vanessa the girl that sold it to me stated, "we have our own movers and we don't use hirelings off of Craigslist". When I got to my storage there were two guys in two separate pickup trucks waiting there. I asked them if they were waiting for a truck to come in and they said yes and that they were hired off of Craigslist by the driver. Yep, they were waiting for my driver. I was pretty upset at the fact that they were just throwing my furniture and things into the storage on top of a big pile. They even broke my mattress springs inside so the mattress just slumped and fell over. Never use this company. They only offer 60 cents a pound of your property for insurance. My box spring to my bed I was missing was from my bed that was a $1,000 bed. Tell me, who the hell would take someone's box spring? The driver kept putting me off day after day while he was trying to deliver. Never use this company! Oh and they also changed their name halfway through the whole process to "Safe Relocations". And they don't answer their phone when you try to get a hold of someone to file a complaint or a claim for your loss.

With that, it had all the amenities that we needed and the rooms I felt were relatively clean. We asked for extra sets of toiletries and they gave us a TON, which was much appreciated. I really liked the self check-in kiosk! The process was very straight forward and got my keys in a timely manner. They had multiple stations and there was no line as well. Room 21041 had a strong, overwhelming odor upon entry, despite multiple air filtration machines already running. It was clear the hotel was aware of the issue before assigning the room. At the front desk, I requested to speak with the General Manager. She came across as dismissive and frustrated, which was very disappointing. We were moved to another room, but it was still unacceptable dirty looking sheets, stained towels, hair in the bathroom, and a lifted carpet edge that created a tripping hazard. We've stayed here before and this has never happened, which made this experience even more disappointing.

Rachel was the guide and she rocked - friendly, easy to talk to, and so knowledgeable about all the places. She had a mic setup on the van and would tell us interesting info about the surroundings or history or where we're going, etc. Zion itself was incredible and TOTALLY worth the trip. I highly recommend it if you can do it. Beautiful little hikes and we saw 3 really unique waterfalls, but I think there was a lot more at the park that I just didn't get to see in a 1 day trip. Be sure to dress for a mild hike: mainly good shoes and layers for cold or hot weather. The mountains were just stunning and so CLOSE - my neck was hurting from looking up all the time by the end of the day. There is a fun tram thing at the park that takes you to all the view/trail points. Bindlestiff provided a packed sandwich for everyone, I had a turkey. Decent sandwich for being pre-made, otherwise you can get food at Zion Lodge. I got some snacks at the gift shop later in the afternoon. Anyway, it's a long drive from Vegas to Zion, but comfortable and Rachel made sure to stop and give us chances to pee. :) Wow, I can't believe I'm the first one to yelp this place. Looks like they get a ton of reviews on TripAdvisor where I found them. The reviews on there are glowing.
