Shame because throughout the decades Bahador had been our families go to for Catering. This past weekend, it became very clear, those days are over. Only one person manning the sushi station all night. So basically no sushi. Main pizza topping was broccoli. Broccoli! The pizza was dough seemed to be old stale lavash bread! Meat was horrible. Had Bahador do my daughter's bat mitzvah and it was an extremely unpleasant experience, not to mention it absolutely the worst food I've seen at an event. I was particularly disappointed because I had previously attended events he has done in the past, I gave him exactly what he quoted without asking for a discount, I gave him an exact guest count, and I clearly told him what I was expecting. It is so unfortunate to see that a once great caterer has turned out to have taken such a turn. Worst, when I called him to give feedback about my disappoint (lack of food, poor service by his staff, food quality etc..) he told me my guests were not "sophisticated" enough to see good food. Bahador Events did an INCREDIBLE job catering our wedding last weekend at the Hilton Universal Studios. Starting with the appetizers, our guests cannot stop raving about the tacos, the sushi, and the carving station. Some of the top favorites are the tuna crispy rice, the tongue, and the variety of salsas and guacamoles at the taco station. The presentation was phenomenal and the taste was to die for! For dinner, we had a Persian style buffet and throughout the night we had a fruit/desserts station, Persian tea, and a coffee station including espresso and cappuccino. The set-up of the fruit/dessert station was extraordinary. Huge thank you to Bahador for staying throughout the night to ensure everything went exactly according to plan. I am really sad to write this review , because I truly liked bahador himself . I had a wedding done by him with a lot of things that went wrong along the way before the wedding date and I thought that the least this person would do is deliver what was promised. His food and services were beyond impeccable, however my family and I got the entire package of everything from him. On a personal level he truly is a caring guy and a sweetheart , on a professional level besides his food I would never advice anyone to get any services from him. His food services is truly exceptional. The sushi station that he brought with him was amazing however they did not bring any of the soy paper dishes I had asked for. Since this is just a yell I will just name a few that really bothered me. I will name a few of the incidents : -The valet service was okay , but they completely let me down by letting cars in during our ceremony when I had specifically asked them not to , but they drove through my ceremony as it was happening saying they are related to bahador, (unprofessional). They had also told a few of our guests to go park their cars themselves thinking they are workers.( they were all suited up) -Out of the 4 bartenders only 2 showed up , and one of the bars was left unattended. Out of thousands of dollars that we had spent on alcohol many boxes were left unopened and the bartenders were too lazy to go restock and short handed. They were telling people that we were out of water and sparkling water or we didn't have any gin or even wine when cabinets were packed with them( I witnessed them first hand in 2 occasions saying they were out of stuff) -They did not serve cake to anyone ! I mean seriouslyyyyy??? -They did not oversee the timeline at all. They were supposed to be there Friday morning for rehearsal when they knew the timeline , they were supposed to help me set up and walk me through it all, they showed up 6:30 pm (5 hours later than schedule) when my rehearsal was already started and done with and we were going to dinner. Ofcourse we couldn't wait for them so we went about our own things. I set up 200 ceremony chairs by myself . Thank u -the wedding planner provided by him up and left before the wedding was over , before my bouquet toss and left a representative behind who spent the entire night behind the tent drinking wine with another person. I had to find her after 40 mins of looking for my flower and her and be like hey can you find me a bouquet to toss ? -they did not pack any of the food in the extra fridge they were supposed to bring so everything I mean everything went bad or bugs got into them the next morning . Honestly for the amount that we paid , I would have truly thought things were going to be exceptionally professional , because every step of the way at every doubt he reassured me that things would be fine.... I felt so bad for the planner he brought with him Asal . She was the only person who was running around and trying to get things done. I am extremely sad and disappointed of all other services than food that was served and would truly not recommend it to anyone , however if your guest list is not long and your event is simple I'm sure things would turn out better . but overall it's a wedding, whatever happened happened and I was around people I loved so what can I say .... Bahador is one of the most well-known caterers in LA! They have great service and I love the options. I wanted to plan a birthday party for my daughter and I was not sure where to go. I called them and they provided a wide range of choices. My favorite part about the service was the sushi bar and all of my guests loved it. I hired Bahador to cater my daughters Bat Mitzvah and upon our first meeting at their office we were shown a contract with all that was discussed and what would be presented in an elegant way at the party. What we discussed, what was on the signed contract was not what was brought to the party. To be specific: the sushi presentation was not elegant (we were told the table would have a nice set up,) the rib eye steak that was brought with a grilling station was very poor quality. The mini sea bass filets were supposed to be prepared with a lemon caper sauce, but instead it was fried. Who the heck fries mini sea bass fillets?! Only those who say it's sea bass and brings a different kind of fish and wants to cover it up. Lastly, the dessert bar was farrrrr from the photo shown to us at our in person meeting of what it was going to look like and include. For the price I paid I was far from satisfied. Worst of all, I called to let him know how I felt about the short comings of my order and all he had to tell me was that he "didn't care." Once he gets his payment in full you are history for him. I used Bahador catering for my wedding in October 2016 and it was the best decision I made. Their food was phenomenal, presentation was excellent and service was great! My guest could not stop talking about the food and the dessert table presentation. Everyone said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I was only able to taste the food after the wedding (we had a lot left over so we had a left over party the next day!) And the food was delicious the next day!! For appetizer we had the lamp chops (which I actually had one and it was AMAZING!) and the avocado eggroll (AGAIN AMAZING). We had other stuff too but I did not get to taste those. We also had the sushi table and the guest said it was good. I did not get to taste that! For dinner we had the typical Persian food. What I really liked was that all of the stews were filled with meat. They did not go cheap on us (like most other caterers). For dessert, which I did not actually get to taste, but we had a fruit and dessert table and everyone said it was great! I am assuming it was since we did not have any dessert left over! But I did see the presentation and it was beautiful. Very modern, chic and elegant. Overall I give them an A+ and I will be using them again for other large catering events. read more

The night turned out magnificent and he worked with us one on one personally to make sure we got everything we wanted for our guest to the best. He helped us plan the entire event: from catering, to rentals, lighting, and even more. He had so many different varieties of stations, and each station was incredibly elegant and different from the next. The common denominator between everything Bahador provided was the quality and how amazing everything tasted. Aside from how beautiful everything was, our guests could not stop talking about how amazing everything tasted. WOW! I was blown away, bahador was absolutely amazing. We ordered his to go packages because we have heard in the past they were impeccable at catering so we decided to help out his company during the pandemic. However, it became a help to me. I had a couple of guests over so I ordered people to 50 people. Now my I order one package a week and all my kids love it and eat it during the week. All my friends at the party loved it ! Although they don't let you pick up the food, they deliver it free to your house no matter where you are in the county which was really nice.I've been to many of his parties and he always has extravagant weddings so I was excited to try his to go package. I literally ordered one every week for the past two months he has multiple different menus and it's just amazing. My favorite is the fish it's so good his fish is just absolutely perfect. I love seafood so when it comes to seafood I know what's good and what's bad, and this was amazing. We had the Seabass and he also made us an amazing salmon with capers sauce. Every week it's something new, the other week we had a Italian this week we had Persian. The fruit and dessert station included items from around the world. I decided to use them for my office party last week. The food arrived hot and on time. I ordered a package from this company for the first time in the food was absolutely amazing. I did this for a 30-person birthday party and because of the current circumstances we had to keep it under 30 people. However everyone was very pleased with the food especially the seafood and the kebabs. The delivery was free which was very nice and I really like the rice. They had multiple different salads and we also ordered a chicken rotisserie on the side. The food was absolutely amazing all my guest s wanted to know where it came from. I was hesitant first because it was my first time using his services and I have done parties before and used different caterers.
