These guys offered their paella at the Winter Wonderland event in Valencia. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken and sausage was so good, I went back again and again... and again. Roger, simply put, made my party way better than I would have ever imagined. He arrived way ahead of time to prepare everything with no rush. He was absolutely professional and super accommodating. What about the food? Well, 2 weeks after the party I still have people thanking me for the quality of the food. All tapas were delicious and the paella was just perfect. The best part was that although the food was contracted to feed 30 people (we were 27), I still have leftovers in my freezer. I have no doubt in my mind that Roger could have easily fed 40 people with no problem. On top of that, he cleaned absolutely everything: when he left I had all leftovers in containers in the fridge and the stations all clean. All in all, a MAGNIFICENT experience and AMAZING food, absolutely worth every penny. If I ever plan another big part (Thanksgiving next year? Savory Roads catered my Superbowl party this weekend, and they were amazing!! We got the paella mixta and veggie paella. (The veggie paella is actually vegan, so that was perfect for some of our guests. And the paellas are also gluten free, so that is perfect for me :) ) The food itself was incredible. The Savory Roads team did an amazing job catering our wedding last weekend - 10/10 would recommend! The paella itself was absolutely delicious - we had the classic version plus a smaller pan of the mushroom vegetarian option and both were amazing. The setup is just incredible and will be a focal point of any event. The beautiful, giant paella pans will draw a crowd for sure. BUT they made sure to work around our ceremony schedule with their cooking as to not distract. Communication was clear and consistent from the first time we reached out to them all the way through the event. Our event was further away than their typical LA area event and they made it happen for us for a super reasonable travel fee. Overall we couldn't be happier with Savory Roads. Where do I even begin? I was looking for something different/special for a surprise birthday dinner and did the usual Yelp search to guide me for local caterers. I stumbled across Savory Roads and after seeing the pictures, I NEEDED to know more about their services. Chef Roger was an absolute pleasure from the first call I made. He answered every question in detail, provided me his full menu of options and made recommendations for our party of 25 guests. Chef Roger and his AWESOME associate showed up on time, set up all appetizers and snacks prior to the arrival of my guests, and were part of the big surprise. It took them an hour to cook the Paella for us, which was perfect because it gave my guests the opportunity to sip on a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful cheese/chorizo platter, olives, tortilla española and gazpacho.
