There are rows and rows of picture books with a built in children's book reading nook and story time corner. Then it expands to chapter books with the difficulty increasing as you walk away from the picture book section. With your regular libary card you can borrow a book for 3 weeks. If the books you borrowed aren't being requested by someone else it will auto renew on its own up to 3 times. If it is being requested you get notified via your email that is linked to the account. Libraries are the best, especially this one with plenty of parking in the back.

Can't find what you're looking for here? Good news! They have interlibrary loans that come pretty quickly. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful. One downside is that this is a pretty small library, but since you are able to request loans from other libraries, it's not so bad. If you're on the tech side of life, get the Libby app and connect it to your library card. You can borrow e-Books and audiobooks straight to your device, as well as some magazines. It's also a great way to monitor your library account. One other downside people may consider, is the unhoused population around the library. I go here often and have never been bothered by the people there. They are usually minding their own business and hanging out side. Cute and cozy little library.

Canoga Park Branch Library has the friendliest most helpful staff and are welcoming to all. I feel safe here and at the other libraries - especially Encino/Tarzana and West Valley Library - people there, especially the librarians, seem to hate their jobs and should think of retiring. I think they are just counting the minutes. Canoga Park Branch library is friendly to those who are handicapped, seniors, and minorities. The Encino/Tarzana branch librarian only seems to like "her people" and her shrill voice can be heard from this prima donna. Other people, she is very arrogant and nasty. I and others have complained about her. What a relief that Canoga Park Library is wonderful and they should receive a commendation for extraordinary customer service. At Canoga Park Library employees are diverse.

The library looks and feels inviting, warmly lit by sunlight peering in through the front windows. Sprinkled around are decorative pieces showing the local wildlife, mounted on the walls. Noise level was kept to a minimal, so it also felt like a great opportunity to just relax and getting some reading done. As for me, there was a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle near the center of the library that kept me occupied.

I visited during noon/ afternoon maybe that's why it was not busy. I noticed there were several computers and table available for people to use. This library has a security by the door which makes the experience better since the area is not the best. This library has a huge selection of books. I noticed they have books in stock that are hard to find in other libraries. When I visited there were couple of seniors playing chess. It was very interesting to see people playing chess in a library. For parking, this location has a private parking lot. Parking is not an issue since there is always couple of empty spots. Also, there is a shopping center close by which has a huge parking lot.

I'm not sure if nowadays in the public library there is no such thing as using indoor voices inside; even the librarian was loud as she was assisting people checking out books. So, I used my earplugs and listed to white noise. All computers were taken but that was not a problem as I had brought my own laptop along. Unfortunately I couldn't find a corner where I can just hide and concentrate, so had to site by the front area. Library is otherwise kept clean, family friendly, computer access, printing access, books on shelves to read. Bathrooms are decent except there was no soap in both dispensers. Parking lot is huge and shared along with other businesses.

This location is my local library, been coming here for years & never had an issue. Well today was…read morevery disappointing, I was in line with my child waiting to check out a book, the library clerk at the front desk was helping a young lady, there was also a man standing at the entrance just looking at us , I thought he was the girls father. The woman helping her was calling out for someone named Charles, she did this a few times loudly, then the man at the door was walking back and forth but never to the area we were at, didn't know why at the moment. Then some white guy walks in with books, stands behind us & right away that creepy man at the door walked right up to him and asked him if he needed help, I saw the woman at the desk give him a look, she was done with the girl then I walked up with my child, the white male clerk was extremely courteous almost ass kissing to the other white man, well the male clerk was, yup Charles, he was hiding from the woman clerk so he didn't have to help us. I didn't say anything, I had my kid & didn't want him to see the ugliness of racism first hand in our neighborhood, such a horrible thing that racism is so out in the open like this, shame on you Charles, you prick!
