OMG again my ceiling is leaking from the air-conditioning unit. Never installed properly drain tray is off center. Refused to even look at it 2 yrs ago when I requested. The unit is only 4 years old and Brian and his wife told me it isn't their fault. Go figure. They're like slum lords w air-conditioning vs housing! WISH I NEVER CONTACTED THEM! I called Bahama Air yesterday morning around 9am for an estimate on a new system as mine was barely limping along. They were able to come out same day to provide an estimate and install the next day (today). There was no attempt at upselling of equipment or service, just only what was necessary. They arrived at 8:15 this morning and the new unit was installed by noon. I was given all the product ad service knowledge I need to operate and maintain my new AC. Josh and Peter were very, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I was more than satisfied with both the service and the product. Came to our business and charged 480. Did not fix the problem and when we asked the receptionist for explanation were told it was our fault for not leaving ac on 24/7. When asked about the charge...told it was for labor only for less than 90 min. When we questioned the excessive amount we were told to fuck off by the owner & his wife is the receptionist. Wow. Wish there were six stars, Brian Hoskins and his staff would get the extra star! About three years ago our central AC crapped out and we knew it was 20 years old and needed to be replaced. Went to the market and looked for a good solution. Bahama Air was the last company we talked to. Not only were they $3K cheaper than the next closest quote for the same tonnage (granted, different manufacturer), they came out when they said they would and it was a no BS sales job. Brian was AWESOME. Now, three years later, we had an issue. Called the Bahama Air office and got Brian himself at 8:30 in the morning, tech on site at 10:00. I don't know about you, but in my house, no AC even on a relatively cool day, is a true emergency! Not only was the tech courteous and professional, he had the part on the truck! Couldn't be happier. Brian use to be great to deal with but something has changed. We bought a new unit from him several years ago. Seems like there is always something wrong. They recently came out because we had no air again and Brian said it had been repaired. Of course thats never under warranty and then it stopped working again within a day. Apparently something was missed. Brian backpaddled through the whole conversation. Told us we wouldn't pay for Freon gas again. But sure enough it was on the bill and another service call charge. When asked why he just back peddled again. It seems like his repair crew is lacking and Brian has lost interest in his business. It doesn't seem to bother him that you have to sleep in hot FL heat at night. They won't come to do the repair in the evening but they'll come pick up a check for payment.Time to move on. read more

Finally I decided to take the breakdown and buy a new unit. I did my due diligence and got 4 other quotes. All came in much higher. The coupon flyers I got in the mail proved to be companies with horrible reviews. I went and bought my RUDD unit from Bahama Air. They were respectful, honest, fair, fast and efficient. I had just purchased a brand new unit it was installed while I was at work. I was not given a filter for the unit nor did they provide me with any paperwork for the unit. The filter I bought from a store had nowhere to be installed because the unit is missing a bracket. These are minor things that I could overlook but when I called ( several times) I did not get a call back. When I finally did talk to the installer he was rude and treated me like I was bothering him. He told me to buy a filter from Publix. This company has the worst customer service. I've used them before for repairs and got the same treatment. The man I've been dealing with has no problem with letting you know that he doesn't care about my concerns or my business.
