Been coming here for years and the menu has changed. I guess they kept their more popular items and added a few new ones. Seems like they have more alcohol then food to me. A little disappointing to say the least. I definitely miss the calypso shrimp pasta dish. My friends and I decided to come here on a Sunday afternoon. We did have to wait close to an hour for a table of five, so we passed the time by walking around in the Cherry Hill Mall. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with both the food and service I received here! For a drink, I ordered the pina colada, which was great. And then as far as food selection, I went with the Jamaican Jerk Wings. I've never had jerk wings before this, so I did not know what to expect. The wings were much bigger than I expected, and the side of barbecue sauce made the wings taste so much better! I only ordered a light meal, but my friends ordered the Jerk Chicken Pasta meal, and they were very satisfied with their meals as well. It's a very cozy din lit indoor tropical environment with a live steel drum band in the section of the restaurant that is opened up to the outside. I love they have several flights of rum drinks, tequila and a rum raid with 10 drinks. This time our group had a pina colda and a margarita in a pineapple. I unfortunately didn't drink this time because I had to drive us to our hotel. For entrees, we had two steak Oscars with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I really enjoyed the asparagus but the potatoes were lacking in salt or garlic. The steak had a citrus butter crab which was plentiful but it was lacking lime flavor. There wasn't a lot of selection for vegetarians and my husband always gets the black bean burgers. My son had the light version of the Cajun pasta minus mushrooms and he enjoyed it. My MIL had the shrimp pasta and there was almost too much spice for her to enjoy it. She isn't a fan of super spicy so in all honesty it probably wasn't a great choice for her. Bahama Breeze have good drinks, "hit or miss" service and food. We started off with Lobster and Shrimp quesadillas, Bahamian Seafood Chowder, Virgin Ultimate Pineapple and The Rum Raid. The quesadillas were pretty tasteless even after I dip them in the salsa and sour cream. Scratching my head, I'm lost. Quesadilla can be tasteless but I should at least taste the salsa and the sour cream right? Let's move on to The Rum Raid. Presentation is pretty and they include a list of drinks so we know what we are drinking. We liked 3 out of 8 drinks. They are Bahama Mama, One Love, and Blue Sea, rest are not my cup of drinks. Bahamian Seafood Chowder tastes so freaking good, I was considering getting another bowl. The Ultimate Virgin pineapple is the HIGHLIGHT of the night. There were 3 of us fighting over that pineapple lol. Eventually we have to order another one because my daughter kept the first pineapple to herself and wouldn't let go. Then we got Carribean Style Lobster Mac and Cheese, Calypso Shrimp Linguine, Seafood Pot, and Bowtie with mac and cheese(kids menu). I went on Valentine's Day to take my mom out and we didn't have reservations. We got there and were told it's an hour wait. Ok no problem I love the decor and we can sit and talk and look over the menu. Within I'd say fifteen minutes we were called to be seated. Not bad at all. Staff is so nice. Very informative as well. Food was definitely delish. We both got the coconut shrimp tacos. Soo sooo good. They have so many cool drinks to choose from as well and flights of margaritas, etc. so many cool island options. Love the atmosphere at this place. The hosts aren't very welcoming but the servers are great they always make up for it. I usually get the churrasco and it's always nice and soft. The black beans had a strong lime taste last time I had them which I enjoy but I know not everyone does. But personally, I always leave happy with my meal. There were several large parties there, the air was filled with laughter, songs of Happy Birthday and overall joy. It felt warm and inviting. The greeter was on top of her job welcoming us in what came across as she was really happy for us to come in. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and fast. Keeping it simple steak was like shoe leather , fish tacos were bad (as in the fish was way past its prime) twice they brought wrong appetizers . Then they forgot my wife's appetizers. They forgot our silverware. We asked for butter three times before getting it Desert was horrible. Even our waitress said this was not the best place for deserts. It was just a nightmare. On top of everything we waited 45 minutes for the pleasure of this meal. Too many good places out there that are spot on for this place to take you hard earned money . Disappointment at a premium price. I love the food at Bahama breeze, the service is amazing but I think that they should change the recipe to the foods they prepare here because the calories, fat, sodium, and carbs is quite outrageous and some people do have health problems and they won't be able to always eat the foods that are prepared here. I think that they should also add much healthier foods and desserts to their menu so that way other people can come and eat at the establishment. The ambiance is so incredible that you wouldn't want to leave and stay much longer which is what I like about the place. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Visited this location a few times during covid and now that they've allowed customers to sit on the inside. Each time my visit has been okay, nice ambiance, nice accommodations during covid, food comes out hot and fresh. My recent visit was on 10/23/20 and I had Lillianna as a server, at first she didn't seem very friendly, but she started to loosen up the more we ordered. I took off one star for her lack of friendliness initially, but over all this is a great spot and it's always a major bonus for me when the bathrooms are clean just be mindful that the hot water is extra hot! read more
