I have attended Monster Mania conventions at this hotel and rarely dined inside . This jaunt I took a chance. Man , I wasn't disappointed!! I had the Philly chicken Chicken Steak Through the Heart : shaved chicken, sautéed onions, peppers & american cheese. The hoagie bread was fresh and the sandwich not soggy at all . The cocktail list was full of great choices and the beef on draft too. I enjoyed a Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale draft with my lunch . It was the perfect choice for the sandwich. Located inside the Doubletree. This is a small restaurant with limited menu. That being said, I enjoyed the food we had there. I got a flatbread pizza which was really good and my son got Buffalo wings which were also very good. Service was decent. Drinks were good. I got the white sangria which I enjoyed a lot. Prices are pretty high. I didn't mind eating here just wouldn't do it very often to save money. read more

I am staying here for four days for a youth conference and it is absolutely good. I ordered the cheese steak one night and the buffalo wings were fire!!!! One of the youth had the fettuccine Alfredo with jumbo shrimp and another had a hamburger which she described as huge and delicious. Two of the adults with me had the Asian chili wings and they also loved their choice. The food comes out quickly and the staff are nice and accommodating. Their seating capacity is 250 so they have room for lots of people. read more

Embers is located inside of the Doubletree in Cherry Hill. It was convenient because I didn't feel like driving but the food was not good. The staff was friendly and my food came out quickly. However, the pasta sauce tasted straight from a jar and was greasy. The chicken that I added was seasoned well but chopped so small it was had to find within the pasta. I think I should have ordered something safe like a salad or a burger. If I'm back at this hotel and don't feel like driving, I would probably go back. Other than that I would not. read more

10/16/2025 - Restaurant located inside the Double Tree by Hilton. Beautiful little sports bar/restaurant. Very nice staff. Simple menu but, food was great. I loved the fries and the chicken quesadilla. My husband loved his Reuben. My only complaint was the veggie minestrone was pretty salty. :/ They have a happy hour from 4PM-6PM. Very convenient for us as we are staying here and we didn't feel like venturing out. They have TVs to watch football so, we decided to stop in and we are glad we did! :) read more

In short, I got sick from the food we waited 45 minutes for. Our sodas tasted strange, from the start. The waitress replaced our drinks with canned soda, but regular not diet, as we requested. No big deal, but she scurried away before I could ask for the exchange. Then, we waited and waited for our meal to arrive. I know restaurants are short-staffed, so we tried to be patient. But 45 minutes later, we finally had to flag down the bar hostess. She got our food, but we'd ordered chicken cheesesteaks and received very cold regular cheesesteaks. At this point, my husband and I were so hungry that we ate the food. Afterwards, both the waitress and bar hostess were busy, so we got the check from the manager. Great general staff. Pure idiot management. I had to give a credit card for a tab. But I wanted to pay cash at tab out. They messed up and charged the card. Not a big deal deal, BUT, I told the "management" hoping I could help., ' just switch it all to cash' so we can close the tab. The response was a dismissive , backhand wave "sir we fix'n it" with no eye contact or a word or two of assurance to me. (I was concerned I would be charged double) MANAGEMNT NEEDS TO BE FIRED. When there is an issue in a customer service "sphere" , you don't dismiss the customer as apart or the problem. In the service industry, you don't treat the customer as an appendage to your business model. THEY ARE YOU BUSSINESS. WATCH YOUR CREDIT CARDS AND YOUR CASH HERE. Enjoyed my breakfast here. Had an omelet to order and it came out perfect! Wish they had hashbrowns as an option because I'm not a fan of the breakfast potatoes that came with the meal. I'm sure others would like them! Service was great and my waitress was friendly. read more

The feeling of regret and apathy pervades this hotel eatery. The very design seems to tuck diners away from view as though the inevitable look of disappointment or the vacant stares of those waiting for lost meals were anticipated by the very architects of Embers. I have visited this eatery many times over the years and can report an extra star for their improvement over my first few visits. Even in a busy hotel with committed convention business could not motivate staff to provide an exceptional experience. It was as if they knew that conference-goers did not have time to leave the building to enjoy any of the dozens of better options within a quarter mile of the hotel. Lately, apathy has replaced their expressions of resent and dislike for having to make and present "food" to people for an inflated price. One can pay a decent hour's wage for access to a breakfast buffet which will cling to your tongue and stomach for hours after. You can enjoy lunch and dinner foods that seem to be an alien species attempt to recreate human dishes from video records and not any real culinary experience. Sometimes, if you are very lucky, you will be ignored for long periods of time and not have to eat anything you asked for. This has the advantage of forcing you to visit one of the many fine (or at least adequate) eateries in Cherry Hill. The bar side is open and brighter, inviting patrons to gather around the artificial hearth or a circle of furniture. The bar is long and vibrant, though the men and women behind it often carry a look of dread. As if they await sudden, painful judgment from some unseen force. The busier the bar, the more the staff appears panicked, then withdrawn, then catatonic. The happiest you will see them is when the light comes on after last call and they realize life will, for a short while, improve. One of the greatest qualities (or perhaps skills) of this establishment is its ability to deflect any criticism directed to them. After many years of experience, the restaurant and hotel staff can justify any failure or problem experienced with ninja-like grace and efficiency. No complaint will result in change as in the universe of Embers, you'll simply be told to feel fortunate you don't have to work there. read more

Staff: Nice and very welcoming, but not attentive. Wait 15 minutes to take your order. Wait 30 minutes after meal to have your check delivered along with first refill of drink from the time of food order. Had breakfast here, it was great! GF has the continental breakfast and I had the meat platter. Four different kinds of meat plus eggs and potato's. Not sure why they put potatos on the plate as it was in the low carb section of the menu. Coffee was good. This was a good start to our day. read more

I went here because I was in the hotel for the Tattoo Convention. The service was terrible, the waitress was rude when taking my order. She had forgotten to give me an order of French fries that I had specifically asked for. She also did not come back during the meal at all, so I was unable to tell her that I was missing the item. We spilled water and cleaned it up ourselves, but our water was never replaced. My friend eventually got up and asked another waitress to get a manager for us to speak to. The manager took off an item from the check and offered us soda, which we did not take, we just needed refills of water. When the manager came back with the check, we still did not get water! We had to ask again. I will not be eating here again if I can help it. read more

Well I would have loved to have given them 5 stars for what sounded like a mouth watering salmon dish, but unfortunately, after 75 minutes of waiting it never showed up. One would think that since this place is in a hotel with large conference rooms, they would be accustomed to an influx of people during lunch breaks and be able to handle it, but I guess not. read more

Went to the bar to get one beer. Bartenders didn't even make eye contact or greet me. Sat at side of bar for 10 minutes before asked if I wanted anything. I ordered a beer. Bartender poured it 1/2 way and walked away. Returned 5 minutes later to finish the pour. Will try dinner service tomorrow but as for the bar - no thanks! I stay at this hotel about every 4 weeks. The restaurant is bit on the expensive side. Food is good. The server who I seem to have every time (Ken) is great. Had the fresh onion soup it had way too many croutons so the soup was pretty much soaked up. Had the a cheese burger the burger was good. read more

This restaurant is located in the crowns plaza hotel in cherry hill New Jersey and it is excellent. I'm surprised people done eat here in the regular but it is in a hotel..the prices are fair, the portions are good but the main thing about Embers is the staff. The entire hotel has a great staff but the restaurant staff is awesome. Shout out to Brooke, Marla, Armen, Jimmy in banquets!
