Our meal was amazing as always. I have food allergies and the entire staff helps me enjoy a safe dining experience. The two servers I love are Nina & Sam!!! Great demeanors, super supportive & they know their way around the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is a fun vibe and includes music on certain nights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend this establishment!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]1st time at this warmly decorated Caribbean/soul food/American fusion restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Dina was new, and didn't have the answer to a few of our questions, but she did ask management on our behalf. She was very nice and friendly, and so was the manager. As it was Thursday we opted for their 2 for $30 entree special, so that we could try multiple items. We enjoyed everything. The only comment I would say is the jerk salmon pasta was lacking, as it was just salmon and pasta. The Cajun salmon pasta had tomatoes and other veggies, which should have been included in the jerk pasta also, imo. And the price was right! Just over $100 for 5 entrees, soft drinks and an appetizer. Will definitely return!

We recently chose Omega's Restaurant to throw a family friend an 80th birthday Darty. The place didn't disappoint, Omega accommodated 25 dinners with ease our waiter was fantastic he got every order correct and we were served appetizers and our main course s in a timely manner. The portions were more than adequate and served with a smile and professionalism. We, ate, drained and were merry. We loved that Omega the owner actually came out to welcome and greet us and humbly Thanked us for our business we felt soo appreciated. Our waiter was overcompensated with a generous tip,we all went home happy. Go to Omega's for the best in service, good quality, tasty food served timely snd professional and with a smile.

Despite the pouring rain, I decided to go to Omega's for happy hour. This is a black, female owned restaurant nestled in a quaint area of Merchantville, NJ. I am glad I did not let the rain keep me away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was warm and inviting against the beautiful hard wood floors, table, and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was at a conversational level, and the place was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent. Our server was polite, friendly, and made us feel like family. I'm just going to let you know that ALL of the items on the happy hour menu were delicious. These will not be rated because they all exceeded taste expectations. Here we go: *Honey Garlic Buffalo Wings- First these were REAL wings. They were not chopped into 2 wingette pieces like many places who serve wings. They were hot, sticky, tender, and far from dry. These wings were filling and if you just ordered three, you will not be disappointed. *Fish and Chips- This dish was served with 6 pieces, yes 6, of lightly fried Whiting over a basket of golden French fries. Sprinkled with the right amount of seasoning, all I added was hot sauce because you can't have fried fish without it. *Jerk Chicken Tacos- These were packed with flavor. The jerk sauce was phenomenal. It had the right amount of kick. The chicken was tender and juicy and tasted great paired with the crispy lettuce and cilantro. *Seafood Mac & Cheese- Let me be clear with you, they use THREE cheeses, less than what I use when I make mine at home, but this was very CHEESY. With each fork pull, the cheese extended from the bowl to my mouth. That alone deserves 12 stars in my book. The shrimp was also good, but the Mac and cheese held its own in this dish. *Dessert- I'm just going to combine these two to make it simple for everyone. Peach and Apple cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream. I am not a peach cobbler lover. I prefer Apple, but I wanted to try both since I was here. CRISPY, FLAKEY crust is a must with cobblers. I liked that these cobblers were sweet and flavorful, and that I had to use a spoon to dig deep into the pies to enjoy all of the ingredients blended together along with the ice cream. I highly recommend both of the cobblers if you like sweets. I wanted to try the bread pudding, but it wasn't on the menu that day. Overall, Omega's is soul food at its finest. They are not stingy with the portions. There is enough to share with the folks at your table or to take home for later. Just so you know, they have Live Music Fridays as well as Sunday Brunch. Stop by, catch the vibes, and enjoy some really good food. Tell Omega (that's also the owner's name) that I sent you. Til we eat again...

I drive all the way from Philly to come here. Omegas is a gem! Immediately you feel a homely ambiance when you walk in. The service was A1 and I felt like I was taken care of. I had the opportunity to come on a Thursday where they have an absolute BANGER of a deal! A 2 for 30 special (specific options). My wife and I both got the seafood pasta. The portion sizes were beyond fair and it was delicious! The Mac and cheese was a perfect consistency for me and the shrimp on top was chefs kiss. I found my new home soul food restaurant!!!

This restaurant was overrated in my opinion. I'm disappointed as I really wanted to love this black woman owned restaurant but the hype does not match the quality of the food. I ordered the seafood Mac n cheese and the shrimp was overly seasoned. In addition to that I asked for the seasoning on the side before it came out and they still put it over the shrimp. For me, it wasn't worth the price. If I can add anything positive, the hostess and our server were very nice. We were also seated quickly!

A week after my 40th birthday and on my goddaughter's 7th, my two besties and I finally made it to Omega Restaurant for their Sunday brunch. I'd been wanting to try this spot for months, and let me tell you -- it's worth the hype. Omega is a Black-owned restaurant, named after the Black Greek fraternity, and located on a cute boutique-lined street in Merchantville. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With a BYOB brunch buffet, live music, and a family-friendly vibe, it's like stepping into a neighborhood celebration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Wait: We arrived at noon with a party of six (four adults, two kids) and were quoted a 30-minute wait. Unfortunately, that turned into over an hour. Since Omega doesn't take reservations, it's strictly first-come, first-served. While I understand the laid-back, communal atmosphere they're going for, not having a reservation option makes it tough to gauge how long you'll be waiting. It also seemed like the hostess was overwhelmed trying to manage the flow of guests, especially with larger parties. I'm not suggesting anyone should be rushed, but some sort of system for table management would definitely help. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another con? The bathroom situation. There's only one shared restroom for everyone -- men, women, and children. With a bustling crowd, that line grew quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Having at least one additional bathroom would make a big difference. The Pros: [[HIGHLIGHT]]But once we were seated? It was all good vibes. Omega truly shines when it comes to atmosphere. The space felt warm and family-oriented, like we were part of a small, tight-knit community.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The live music set the perfect tone, playing 80s and 90s feel-good hits -- the kind that make you reminisce and sing along like you're at a family reunion or a backyard cookout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the food? Absolutely delicious. From the creamy shrimp and grits to the perfectly seasoned fried fish and crispy chicken tenders, every bite was on point. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the French toast was sweet and golden, and the salmon was tender and flavorful. They even had juice options that hit the spot -- I went for a classic lemonade and sweet tea mix, and it was chef's kiss. Plus, it's a buffet, so you can go up as many times as you like, all for one set price. Another bonus? The BYOB policy. Having the freedom to bring your own bottle makes celebrations even more festive. We brought along our own drinks, popped a bottle, and enjoyed the whole experience to the fullest. Final Thoughts: Despite the wait and the limited bathroom situation, Omega's brunch is one I'd absolutely recommend. Just plan ahead, arrive early if you're with a larger party, and come ready to enjoy a laid-back, soulful dining experience. The energy is unmatched, the food is fantastic, and you'll leave feeling like part of the community. Would I go back? In a heartbeat. And next time, I'm definitely bringing another bottle.

Found this restaurant on social media came up as a new black owned brunch spot in Merchantville, NJ. I sent it to my brother who in turn made a reservation for 1pm on Saturday. I parked on the street at the meter but later found out there is a parking lot in the area. We thought we would have brunch but upon our arrival brunch is on Sundays. We were seated party of 6 at a high top table. As all the other seats were pretty occupied. The ambiance and decor of the place was beautiful and top notch! I believe the place is BYOB. We ordered our meals shrimp & grits, fish in grits, jerk salmon cheesesteak, shrimp tacos, honey buffalo chicken wings, cucumber mint lemonade, iced tea. After 40 mins two shrimp & grit entrees were delivered to our table. My brother asked what happened to his appetizer buff chicken wings? About 20 mins later we were told the shrimp & grits were delivered to our table by mistake. While the rest of us sat and waited about an hour before our food came to the table. My brother & sister in law were done. There was no salt & pepper on the table had to ask for it. The rest of the food finally came out, it wasn't hot but warm. The food was delicious really made me forgot about the hour I waited. I enjoyed my food, and would come back. I enjoyed the restaurant BUT here is my issue .. I'm really torn between 3-4 stars, but went with four because the food was good. The customer service (servers) is lacking big time. There was a few young people working who was very unorganized. No customer service skills or welcoming interaction with us, no smiles , no introduction, no check-ins we had to keep asking for things, drink refills were done but old glasses and dishes remained on the table. I'm not sure how old they are or if they are family members but they need better training to match the level of quality of the establishment. Also on the receipt the tip was included as large party 20% ($38.00) when paying with the QR code on the receipt our tip (38.00) was there and also 38.00 service fee which if you don't clear the tip section you will be double charged.. something mgmt might want to look into.

The best thing about this place was Monica!! Will not go back as food is seriously lacking. Mac & Cheese is Kraft Mac & Cheese level. You can make that at home for cheaper. Wings are steriodial and not cooked all the way thru. Honey Garlic Wings? The sauce tastes like hot sauce and vinegar mixed together....not even a hint of honey. I had the sampler... my friend ordered the Snapper.. her rice was CRUNCHY... we don't do crunchy rice now, do we?? Unacceptable!! Her Snapper had too much breading, and it was a fight to get to the fish. She stated Snapper was good.. I had a crab cake ...mehhh and shrimp in my sampler, and I got Mac and string beans as a side. It's totally not worth a return visit because nothing exciting or that tasted really good. Unfortunately, this was not a good tasting experience. I actually got to meet the "Chef" before I tasted food. She was supposed to come to the table as I asked her to and she never came.. yea ya know Boo! It is what it is...step up ya Chef game. I am sure she heard our conversation. Hopefully, it will be taken respectfully as people work hard for their coins, and having a restaurant and playing with my foodie emotions is unacceptable. Book here and eat here with caution. I do not recommend

The four of us sat at the bar where Dawn (and her counterpart) took phenomenal care of us. It also seemed as if there were numerous regulars at the bar, all of whom were friendly and talkative, which added to the overall experience. We started off with drinks; Stoli Elit Martini, Hendrick's Martini, Blueberry Lemon Drop, and a glass of wine. The Blueberry Lemon Drop was really good especially if you enjoy sweeter drinks. I ended up switching to some kind of Maple(?) Fig Bourbon which was fantastic as well. The fried peppers they serve with the complmentary bread were out of this world. They actually convinced me to buy peppers at the store the next day so I could fry them myself. Prior to ordering dinner, we started with Caesar salads, which were dressed perfectly. We decided to split Crab Cakes for dinner which are served with green beans and mashed potatoes (as all of their entrees are). Let me tell you, these Crab Cakes were up there with the best I've ever had. They were big, packed with lump crab, and had a fantastic outer crust. We just got back from the Delaware/Maryland border and these were better than all of the crab cakes we had there. PSA: Make sure to get one, if not both, of Steak 38's table-side experiences. Mother's Day brunch at Sabrina's Café with my beautiful daughter We made sure to get there early…read morebecause if you know anything about this neighborhood gem, you know they don't take reservations. This wasn't my first time at Sabrina's, so I already knew the service would probably be a little different with the Mother's Day rush -- and understandably so. Overall, the food was still good! We started with their Blueberry Lavender Lemonade, made with blueberry and lavender, then garnished with fresh blueberries and lemon. It was so refreshing and honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and added salmon, while my daughter got the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl. For appetizers, we tried one of their "Heated Rivalry" May specials: Shane Hollander's Jambalaya Benedict. It came with shredded potato waffles, two poached eggs, fried shrimp, Creole sauce, smoked beef andouille sausage, pico de gallo, and green onions. Now listen... it looked AMAZING on the menu and had so much potential, but the taste was a little underwhelming for me. The dish came out room temperature, almost like it had been sitting for a while, and I really think it would've hit differently if it had been served hot -- especially the potato waffles. Still, I understand they were extremely busy and trying to accommodate everyone during the holiday rush. Sabrina's is definitely still a local favorite that I'll continue to support. Overall rating for this visit: 8/10

My young son really enjoyed this. The fried buttermilk chicken was so on point that we ordered a second one as a side dish. Likewise the buttermilk chicken sandwich was great. I added bacon which was a good call. I would have liked the bacon a bit crispier and I think raw spinach rather than sautéd spinach would have helped the chicken stay crispier. We also order pancakes. The pancakes were super big. I'm talking dinner plate big. Unfortunately the taste did not live up to the big size. The texture was off putting and the flavor was strange. As for ambiance, it can get a bit loud since it is essentially and empty room with only a little decoration. They do have a small outside eating area which was quieter and could be quite nice on a day with comfy temperatures. All in all it was a good experience and we would go back again.
