In all honestly, I love a chain restaurant, especially one with a good theme. And the Bahama Breeze theme is so fun! I love the design and decor of the restaurant. The inside feels so spacious with incredibly high wood-paneled ceilings, and the huge outdoor porch area makes you feel like you're on vacation in the islands. The food is tasty and consistent, drinks are all so great, and service is pretty decent. I personally love the jerk shrimp pasta! Can't wait to go back. read more

Stopped in for lunch on an unexpected travel delay. The place was empty except for 4 tables. It was pretty big, tons of seating. Sat at a booth that was dingy and falling apart by a server station. Friendly service, ordered a 5 dollar drink special, bowl of black bean soup and what was supposed to be a steak chimichuri steak salad. The bartender was fantastic! Great service and delicious, consistent drinks made quickly. The half-price appetizers after 9 were such a good deal. It's been 12 years since I last reviewed it so I thought I'd add another review based on two recent visits. I love this place - the decor and ambience are among my favorite restaurants. I've been to the one in Tampa on the causeway as well and I like them equally as much. My two recent visits were in early July and in mid-August 2026. Both were solo visits and I ate at the main indoor bar area. Service was friendly and outstanding. I hate to be boring but I love the Seafood Paella - their version of which is sautéed scallops, shrimp, mussels, chicken and grilled chorizo sausage over yellow rice. I'm not a sausage guy so they left that off at my request and added a bit more of the good stuff - special orders didn't upset them! It was excellent both times. Amazing lunch at Bahama breeze today! The patio wasn't too busy and the weather was just perfect for an outdoor lunch. They had a $7 margarita special so I tried their dragonfruit margarita - delicious! The blackened mahi tacos were perfectly seasoned and served with a side of guacamole and rice and beans. We really enjoyed our meal here! The atmosphere was chill and our bartender/server Blake was very friendly.The coconut shrimp and fish tacos were delicious. My Ultimate Margarita was made just the way I like it, and my son's Ultimate Virgin Pina Colada was fabulous! The only negative was my husband's steak. He ordered it medium rare but it came out closer to medium well. He said it was still pretty good, but for the price, I think a bit more care should have been taken in its preparation. Just left the restaurant have been going there for many many years but today was the worse, got two tacos two shrimp inside cut in half full of batter and tons of salsa and could not chew the soft taco . My wife and I had dinner here last Saturday. The staff was amazing! The appetizer came out 1-2 minutes before the main entrees. Wish it was either out sooner or main entrees prepared later. My fish dish was served with a sauce that was cold. I'm not sure if that was intentional but every element of the dish was hot accept the cold sauce pooled at the bottom. Had a late lunch (2pm) there yesterday. Wasn't busy. Seated quickly but took a while to be waited on. Waiter was pleasant. Expensive menu. We opted for the tacos (fish for me, shrimp for my husband) because we did not want a full meal for lunch. Food was quite good and flavorful. I especially liked the chowder tho it looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Lunch bill with tip was $50! While finishing our tea, I noticed a large menu on the table next to us. It looked different from the one we were given. I went over and got it and to my surprise, it was a LUNCH menu! It offered smaller, more affordable choices. Bahama Breeze Ft Myers 5-25-25 Stopped by for my dad's birthday as he loves to hear Steel Drums playing in the background while eating dinner. We made sure they were playing that day, we showed up around 4 when Dave Lapio started smacking the Steel Drums. It was so nice to hear the Steel Drums while dinning there. They were not that busy, so we were seated right away on the outside patio where the stage was. Our waiter Andy was on point taking our drink orders and answering any question we had about the menu. For an appetizer I ordered the Crab and Three Cheese Dip, and my wife ordered a side Salad. For the main dish I ordered the Seafood Paella which consisted of Scallops, Shrimp, Mussels, Chicken, Chorizo Sausage with Yellow Rice. My wife ordered the Grilled Salmon with Yellow Rice and Broccoli. My dad ordered the Classic Eight Chicken Wings and Fries with sweet BBQ sauce. Our Crab Dip appetizer and Salad was delivered fast. The Crab Dip was so good and hot, it was amazing. The Salad looked fresh and was good. Our main orders came out shortly afterwards. All our food looked so good almost to pretty to eat. I started in on my Seafood Paella and I just loved this dish. Everything was done perfect everything was hot everything was so flavorful. My plate was filled and when I was done eating, I was full. My wife's Salmond was very good done perfect just the way she likes it and her Broccoli tasted so fresh. My dad stated his Wings were very good and was the Fries. We had to get a doggy box as my wife and dad could not eat all that was on their plates. I did manage to finish my plate but to tell you the truth I was stuffed. They brought out a large piece of Key Lime Pie for my dad as we were celebrating his 93rd birthday there. He loved the Key Lime Pie and stated it was close to Key West Key Lime as you can get. I must give Bahama Breeze 5 out of 5 stars for the great food great service by Andy who checked on us a bunch of times the Steel Drum Playing by Dave and for the great vibe of this place. The food was awful. I had the back bean soup, which had a cup of salt in it for "seasoning". Not really edible. I got the fish tacos. The fish was cooked to death, the fish was so tough it was like a brick.. I had the Cadillac margarita. The mix tasted like it was from a local off price grocery store. Too sweet and flavorless. However, the service wes delightful, everyone was super nice and the restaurant was very clean. Hate to give this review, the place is friendly and the environment is pleasant. Four adults, four entrees, 3 drinks and one dessert $180 including tip. The salmon salad and salmon dinner were fine but the size of the salmon was very small. 2 of us had the small portion jerk chicken pasta, bland as hell. Not even barely warm. Weird slices of thin chicken, a few asparagus. More pasta than anything, but not saucy at all, no garnish or anything to elevate the dish. I've had this several times before and it was far better in the past. The pineapple rum cake is delicious, I get it every time.. I didn't realize how spicy the seasonings were on the chicken and with the black beans. My throat was very sore after I tasted the chicken and the black beans. So very spicy to me. We had gotten the coconut shrimp appetizer was so delicious. I ate my plantains and salad no problem. Our server was very sweet and spoke to the manager and offered to bring another meal. Unfortunately we were in a hurry and didn't have the time. They gladly refunded the cost of my dinner. Plantains and salad were yummy. I just have gone careful with the menu. I am not a slice person, so I requested the Sriracha aioli be in the side. So glad I did. The aioli was creamy with what seemed to be a hint of spice, but if you continue to eat it, the side level increases. I decided to try the black beans and yellow rice as my side, and the first fork full of flavor was beyond words. Great pairing as the savory of the rice and beans for me complimented the pineapple chutney on the tacos !! We also ordered the whole Jamaican jerk smoked wings. My husband said they were smoked to perfection. The portion was said to be a lb and a half, so very filling by itself. However, we couldn't resist ordering a side of plantains. Oh boy !! They were just delicious. All the food came out hot, fresh, tasty, and delicious, which, for me, has been very rare and inconsistent to find since Covid. Orders was mixed up on receipts for 5 tickets waited 20 minutes to get out table fixed then waitress doesn't pickup on receipt for payment waited another 10 minutes had to go get someone to finish taking payment. Ample parking on 3 sides of the easy to find building, about a block north of Six Mile Cypress on the east side of So. Cleveland Avenue. CONS: Just one.
