Was a such delight to visit El Patio on Valentine's Day. Waitresses were very accommodating & friendly. Ordered the fried snapper (Pargo) with sides of yucca and fried plantains. My favorite was the shrimp sauce (a lo macho) that I ordered to go along with the fish. It was power packed with flavor! Least favorite were the scales on the fish. Unfortunately, it wasn't scaled properly. Didn't have much flavor either but the sauce made up for sorta it if you pour it on top. My only con/recommendation would be for owners to update their menu so market price items to be listed as "market price" instead of the words with an actually price listed beside it. If price is listed, that can be misleading to customers as with myself. I wondered why my bill was more than calculated but after discussing the matter with the waitresses, one mentioned that basically altho the price is listed next to "market price", it can vary. read more

I stopped by here yesterday for dinner. Our family had found el patio on Yelp and after looking at the menu decided it would be a great place to eat. We decided to place the order through the Yelp app via Grubhub and I ordered a Aji de Gallina while my wife went with the Chicharron de Calamares and my father in law the Ensalada de la Casa. We received confirmation that our food would be ready in 15-35 minutes and it was ready whenever my father in law went in to grab it right around the 35 minute mark. Whenever we got the food home, we all dug in. My dish is what you would expect from an Aji de Gallina as is was served with boiled potatoes and white rice, and garnished with black olives and a slice of hard-boiled egg. As for the taste itself, it was decent. The sauce had a mild flavor to it and my favorite part of it was the texture from the nuts. Due to the sauce everything sort of tasted the same and by the time I was done with my portion I was still wanting more food. My wife thought her calamari was decent. With that being said, it's the first time I have ever see her not finish all of the calamari on her plate. Last but not least was my father in laws salad which unfortunately came without any dressing. The bottom line for me is that I probably wouldn't stop by here again in the future. While there was nothing wrong with our food per se and I thought that the Aji de Gallina was pleasant, I do think that there is better food out there. read more

I went to Peru a month ago so I have been craving food since. While my parents were out at a doctors appointment I ordered from El Patio on Grubhub. The food was delicious. It was still hot when it arrived too. The steak came with two sides which I picked rice and salad. It was very filling. The potato appetizer was good too but I was full so I only had a couple bites. One of our favorite restaurants we tried during our stay. Great service, friendly/helpful staff, and very clean restaurant. We had Pescado A Lo Macho/Camarones (Shrimp in a delicious yellow sauce) and Tacu Tacu Ca=on Salgado De Maris (Seafood Mix over white bean/rice in a sweet soy sauce). Both dishes were fantastic. We had for dessert, Flan De Coco (Coconut Flan) which was very rich in flavor and Picarones (Fried donuts) in a homemade honey sauce with cinnamon sprinkled on . Wow! Quite familiar with Peruvian food, yet this Cape Coral restaurant was just a wow... You can't see what is coming as you're walking in. The chef was definitely Peruvian and also a great one as every single item tasted as I am still dining in quality places around Peru! Service was great in both English and Spanish (Spanglish in my case)!... Pisco is the traditional drink of Peru. Think of it as the Peruvian "tequila" mixed with lemon and a egg white foamy top. It was outstanding and, yes, I had two! The Peruvian causa consists of two layers of well-flavored mashed potatoes and a layer of fresh seafood (or chicken) in the middle! It was astonishing! Leche de tigre is another amazing Peruvian appetizer. Full disclosure: it has no milk and nothing to do with a tiger! Haha It is made of blended seafood using lime juice, sliced onion, chillies, salt, pepper and of course the wonderful juices of the fish it helps to marinate! One of a kind delicious taste! The lomo saltado is steak bites with lemon and peppers, as well rice and fries. The rice and fries were on par, however the steak was cooked to perfection. No red but not over-cooked; perfectly seasoned and juicy - so easy to chew and enjoy! Same goes for the meal with the pasta. This chef is very skilled and exciting to have around there! The desserts were the "cherry on top" of all this taste budapolooza! The traditional flan was fresh and not over sweetened. And tres leches.. We finally had the chance to dine here and very glad we did. It does not look promising from the outside but quite subtle in the inside. It appeared clean and the servers wore masks. The Mini table top Peruvian flags & hung framed art created an authentic ambience. The menu was bilingual and the photo images were enticing. We ordered (2) entrées; the Red Snapper & the Chicken house specialty. Both quite delicious, well seasoned & presented. However, we will discourage choosing "black beans" as a side. Having never eaten in a Peruvian restaurant, I was skeptical. The menu was pretty extensive, and I truly had trouble picking out what to have. Not having any idea what to order I asked the waitress what she would order if she was eating there for the first time. She recommended Lomo Saltado which was outstanding. The beef was so tasty, the spices used in the sauce complimented the white rice so well. I would definitely have it again!! Another member of our party added chicken to the dish and she said that was great also. Coconut Flan to top it all off, doesn't get any better. Food was really good, chaufa was OK. My only complaint would be this one: when I was paying the tip was already on the bill. Which I luckily reviewed before adding the tip. The area that said tip was highlighted like it was not added. I didn't added the tip because there was an extra 14% tip already charged on my bill. That is not a fair practice in my opinion. I don't understand this. I really don't. This food looks good. It has color and has substance. But there is no flavor at all. It's bland. The meat has no seasoning, the green spaghetti has great color, but no substance. I'll tell you what it was like, like a heavy cream with green food coloring. There was something there but it wasn't flavor. Even plain yogurt has more flavor than this. Now the potatoes. They sliced potatoes, put some kind of yellow flavorless sauce. I really want to like this place but I can't. So I can't recommend it at all. read more
