We got there first and got seated. We were waiting for friends. The hostess seemed very confused on where to put us. It was not like they were crazy busy. Then once seated we waited for someone to come and greet us. Sat there for about 15 minutes before the manager came over and asked if anyone welcomed us. We said no and she put in our drinks. Came back with them and our friends arrived and still no waitress. Another 5 minutes or so and she finally came over to take our order. I got the hot honey mango margarita. It was very good. Did have a bit of spice which I liked. And you can never go wrong with a Cuban sandwich. My girlfriend got the Rita flight and coconut shrimp tacos. Both were really good as well. I've been to this establishment twice, and I've been impressed both times so far. The staff here is incredibly friendly. Everyone seems very helpful and attentive. I've gotten two dishes here so far, and both were very tasty. The first dish I tried was the Tequila Sunburned Glazed Salmon, which was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The second time I came, I opted to try just the basic grilled Salmon, which was also equally good. On the first night, the service was great. Our experience dipped during our second visit. Once seated it took over 10 minutes for our waitress to visit us. And the staff is very friendly and supportive to guide you at this location. This location was very nice, some great visuals to allow the eyes to feast. The food itself was also presented very nicely, and overall the flavors were fantastic! The conch fritters were a treat, something that can often be hit or miss is definitely a hit. The chowder was delicious as well and I very much appreciate that some of their options allow you to select it as a side! The Johnny cakes were okay. For those familiar with them you will find the texture and density is not what you'll expect. Fried chicken was great and had a lovely crisp to it! The was very friendly and outgoing - my whole family agreed she was one of the most attentive waitresses we've had at any restaurant in a while. George checked in with us to make sure everything was good - he was also very friendly and attentive. He seemed to be creating a fun work environment, joking around with her and my family which was making us all smile. I feel like you don't see that often anymore - and it was definitely noticed! I ordered the Jerk Shrimp Pasta - YUM! Let me tell you, don't leave this place without ordering this dish. The whole meal was so fresh and tasty, plenty of shrimp included! I chose the "Lighter Portion" which was a very reasonable normal-sized portion, I still took half home! I only recommend getting the normal portion if you want to share. We also got the coconut shrimp meal, a side of plantains, and the tropical salad. My family all had great things to say about their meals too. We where immediately seated in a booth. The waitress came over with waters already in her hand. To drink I ordered a Pineapple-Coconut Martini which was ok, I do love pineapple and coconut but I wasn't crazy over the martini. To eat I ordered the lunch portion of coconut shrimp tacos with Cuban black bean soup soup on the side, both were amazing and would get again! The sauce it came with was a bit spicy but perfect! Me and a few colleagues came here for happy hour this week and the service was HORRIBLE! It was pass 4pm and this place was NOT BUSY AT ALL. It was a weekday! We all ordered from the Happy Hour option and certain drinks were $5 and 1/2 all appetizers except wings. I opted the Kiwi Melon Ice drink slushy and my colleagues did the $5 HH drink offerings. My Kiwi Melon Ice was refreshing a little too sweet but I had a 2nd round because no refills were offered and I was still thirsty. We ordered the Conch Fritters and Yuca Fries. Let's talk about the service. The young gal was our server - We weren't sure if she was new or what not but she was LOST. She never placed silverware utensils for us to use I had to grab the utensils myself from the bar. She barely was there around the patio to be found. Our conch fritters came in a timely manner - AGAIN no server to be found because the order of Yuca fries never came until the server finally came to the table and we adressed a few things with her. She was speechless when we asked about the order of Yuca fries. The conch fritters were huge sized of a large golf ball and it was a little too sweet with the pineapple fruit salsa and sweet / sour sauce drippings. Nonetheless it was tasty. They give you 5-6 fritters I think and by the 3rd fritter I was getting full. My colleagues when they finally got the Yuca Fries they said it was delicious. Back to the server - WE asked for take out containers etc and also a to go order of the Conch fritters and instead the conch fritters were served for dine in and the to go sauce containers were served with the dipping sauce already in it. She misunderstood what was asked of her! At this point all of us were annoyed. We only ordered 3 things and she couldn't get it together! I had to get up and head to the bar for my Kiwi Melon Ice refill. The bartender didn't even add the cherry topping that goes with the drink! Ughhhhhh!!! While I was at the bar - I noticed that another diner complained to the manager re: long wait time for a server to serve him! Wow... This place is a hot mess!!!! We went for lunch and were the first customers there. Our server was Winnie and she was super nice and accommodating. It was my mom's birthday and she made a little dessert for her. The ambiance is cute. They were playing island music to make you feel like you were in the Caribbean. I really liked the colorful fans. Winnie explained the different types of margaritas that were on the menu. I like dragonfruit so I ordered the dragonfruit margarita. It was tasty and tart. Glad it wasn't sweet. My mom and I ordered the combo-house salad and blackened mahi-mahi. My dad ordered the seafood paella. The house salad was good. My dressing was the citrus vinaigrette. I wished I got the dressing on the side since I thought they put too much. I don't like my salad soggy. I liked that they had sunflower seeds but I can only eat so much salad. I thought the dressing was little bit on the tartier side. Tip- please don't overdress the salad. The blackened mahi-mahi taco was okay. I thought they put too much tomatoes and made the soft taco shell even soggier. I didn't eat the shell, only the mahi-mahi which I thought was too salty. My mom had a taste of the side guacamole and said it was too spicy. I didn't taste mine so maybe there were jalapaneos in it? I enjoyed the service and the dragonfruit margarita. Spent the who day with my family at the new Disney Park. It was after 11 and Miller's Ale House had a 35 minute wait. Bahama Breeze was right across the street and they could take us right away. I am so disappointed in the quality of Bahamas breeze food. Today I ordered the lobster and shrimp linguini. It had an aftertaste, almost like smelly fridge. I tried eating some of it as I was starving. But stopped as my stomach began to feel un ease. This was around 4pm today. It's been almost 10 hrs and after not eating anything else since we left the restaurant my stomach is in so much pain. I also tried my mother's order, the paella. I also ordered a couple of tropical cocktails and found them tasty and well prepared. We were happy with the food and service despite the fact restaurant was almost closing by the time we left our servers made our dinner time enjoyable. We ordered key lime pie but has a metallic taste and send it back (not pictured) our waitress proved us a sample of sweet empanadas instead so we could have our dinner finale, this was a very nice gesture we both appreciated. I Don't remember our waitress name but she was a proudly US veteran, mother of 3 and cancer survivor who showed us that night the proud and bravery of our women who served our country and reminded us to be blessed for living every day of our lives with gratitude and serving others. This is a review of their recently added combo meals. You can pick a salad or soup. The house chowder is excellent, pay the $1 upgrade and get the full bowl. I was there during happy hour and considering the half price coconut shrimp appetizer. Six dollars for five coconut shrimp is excellent. Instead I decided to try the coconut shrimp combo. I got two tacos and each taco had one and a half shrimp per taco. So you are basically paying for the tortilla, cabbage and hot sauce. Twelve dollars with a cup of soup. I checked with management and that is the correct portion of shrimp for those tacos. It is a poor value. I like that they have plenty of seafood options. I chose the tequila glazed salmon that comes with cinnamon sweet potatoes and green beans. The salmon had a little kick to it.
