Anybody who has kids knows that if you make the choice to eat out with (young) kids, there are no rules because you aren't the boss :) Any plan you might have and then back up plan or back up to the back up plan can be thrown out the window with kids because you can never predict what mood they will be in or what outside factor is going to get thrown your way. We have learned this as new parents - so with that long introduction, we had no expectations when coming to Bahama Breeze. We were hoping it would be like visiting an international Chili's where the food is Caribbean, seated customers don't care too much about your wild kids and staff is friendly and helpful. Well, it was and we had a phenomenal time here! Our waitress was amazing and our great experience was in part thanks to her efforts. We ordered: 1.) 2 margaritas (they were $2 and we were curious), definitely would not order again because they were mix drinks but we appreciated how strong they were! 2.) Tuna Tostada Stack (4 stars) - we ordered this because appetizers were half off. The tuna was loaded and fresh. The tostones were slightly over cooked and that's the only reason I didn't give this dish 5 stars. The mix of 3 sauces was delicious! 3.) Blackened Mahi Tacos with a side of broccoli (5 stars) - these were juicy and delicious! My husband didn't appreciate the tortilla like I did. It was fluffy yet crispy and light in a healthy way. I loved it's the fish quantity was great as well. The side of broccoli was recommended by our waitress when we expressed interested and omg it was so good that even my toddler who hates veggies wanted it! 4.) Kid's Meal - Bow tie Mac and Cheese with a side of fruit (4 stars) - Our waitress even brought over a second plate for our two kids to share since the portion size was huge. Note that you have to pay extra if you want fries or any of the other sides with the kid's pasta dish only for some reason. We were checked in on and given helpful tips when ordering. Our waitress was fantastic and the music was full of salsa and island vibes. The crowd was family friendly and the decor and ambiance made it feel like we were on an island. Clearly, we don't get out much being parents to two small kids, but we had a really nice time here and recommend to other parents in similar situations! read more

I love this restaurant! You can sit inside or outside so that's a great. Inside, the decorations are so much fun because of the tropical theme. It is so fun and unique for New England. The food is delicious and so are the drinks! If you love fun, fruity drinks, you have tons of options here! The menu has options for everyone. I got the jerk chicken pineapple bowl and did half chicken and half shrimp. It was so good! The firecracker shrimp appetizer is amazing too. Our waitress was so sweet and kind! This place was absolutely fantastic, it is now my favorite restaurant! we were seated quickly in a nice booth, the decor and theme of the restaurant was awesome and really made me feel like I was in a tropical environment. Our server, Barbara was extremely nice and helpful. Both the virgin piña colada and raspberry lemon breeze were awesome! The crab dip came out hot Both the dip itself and chips had a great flavor. I got the coconut shrimp tacos with a side of fries, the tacos were great. The coconut shrimp had a lot of flavor along with the mango salsa they put on it. Even the skirt steak could be shared by two, which we did. The portions are good and the taste is delicious. What they lack in service they make up for in the food. Got here around 9:30pm (pressed for time as per usual). The waiter sat us and gave us menus immediately. Patiently and pleasantly our orders were taken. Drinks came out fast. I had a cute drink with a shot on top that once put inside would give it a shimmer glitter and also cut the sourness. It was so good. My date had a cute multicolored/flavored frozen drink. ***** THE STAR OF THE SHOW***** The Tostones with cheese and tomatillo OMGGGGG. Honestly, this will be something that I will be looking forward to for a lifetime. I won't ever forget how it tasted. All of the things that i love combined in one dish! The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente, It could have more seasoning to it but it was still good. The house dressing island vinaigrette was really tasty. The key lime pie was not great at all, I just didn't like it. It didn't look like key lime pie. It was also served with a lemon sauce and a raspberry sauce on the side. The food and service was great and so was the atmosphere. My rice was a little undercooked but I didn't mind it too much hence the 4 stars. The wait and front desk staff are all helpful and pleasant. Restroom was clean. The drinks were great. Highly recommend the margarita flight. The coconut one was my favorite but they were all great. The ultimate pineapple was wonderful too. The conch fritters were ok. They're more like hush puppies with conch pieces inside it. The jerk wings were really good and came with a nice dipping sauce. The skirt steak with the chimichuri was very good and of course the sweet plantains were a nice edition to the sweet and savory flavors in the meal. The environment was really fun. Tropical plants and decor made me feel like I was on a vacation. They have an extensive menu of tropical drinks. My husband got the Strawberry Lemon Breeze and I got a Pina Colada. He says it's the best strawberry lemonade he has had and I was really happy with mine as well. Walking in, I didn't really know what to expect of this place. However, from the very first spoon full of seafood chowder to the last fork full of lobster and shrimp linguine, I am eternally grateful my wifey's bestie doesn't have the palate of a fifteenth century peasant. That is to say....Bahama Breeze....is quite good. Now, I should mention that their menu seems to be mainly Jamaican themed. So, if you're into that type of cuisine, then Scooby-Dooby-Doo, this restaurant is for you! As for me, I kept it semi familiar by ordering the aforementioned pasta and soup appetizer (not necessarily in that order, obviously). The chowder really shocked me! I mean, it was basically perfect. Didn't require any additional seasoning whatsoever! Also, when they say "seafood" chowder, they mean it. This rendition consists of what I *think* were small pieces of fish, bay scallops, some clams, and I'm pretty sure there was one giant piece of shrimp in there somewhere. Whatever they put in this, I'd totally order more. Solid 10 out of 10, would recommend. The pasta had the creamiest sauce I've ever tasted in a restaurant, with a surprisingly copious amount of shrimp and lobster. Granted, there was a lot less lobster than shrimp but....that's pretty standard restaurant practice, if we're being honest here. The dish was fine, but additional seasoning would've been nice. I dunno...it tasted like it was missing that little something. Perhaps it was freshly grated parmesan. Because when I was finally able to request some from the waitress, it immediately tasted 10 times better. Amazing what a f*ckton of parmesan cheese will do to enhance the flavor of your average pasta dish. All I know is wishing I had more of it, since I have a propensity to bury my pasta themed dishes in ounces upon ounces of parmesan. This one's like an 8 out of 10 for me. One other minor complaint I have is regarding the entrance(s) to this place. Upon first visit, it's a little confusing because it almost looks as though a person could enter using one of three doors. Two of them lead directly into the outdoor seating. So....after some dodgy deductive reasoning, we walked through what apparently was the *true* front entrance. Go us! The atmosphere and music for this place are very....Bahama-esque? Is that a thing? Oh, well whatever. We'll probably be back here at some point in the distant future. For now though, Bahama Breeze is worthy of 4 perfect bowls of seafood chowder out of 5. read more

I always pass by this place and have been wanting to try it for years. When we walked in, it wasn't busy at all. We ordered some drinks which were excellent and exceeded my expectations. They also have margarita flights which I usually order from anywhere if I see it on the menu! I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken and my boyfriend got the pineapple chicken bowl. My chicken was tender and juicy, the skin was flavorful and was cooked well done and seasoned perfectly. The sweet plantains were good but I wish it came with more. Rice was decent enough. Our server was great at the beginning, but once she brought the check she started having an attitude, not sure what that was about. It's great they have one of those little tablets you can pay on, but we wanted to pay cash and she seemed annoyed at that. I would have easily gave five stars if it weren't for the service because it can make or break whether I will return. I may come back in the future but will probably try other spots first. read more

Great experience! I absolutely loved the Javatini, it's great for a starter and even better for dessert. We enjoyed the beef empanadas and firecracker shrimp. For entrees we tried the new Caribbean red snapper. It wasn't served like the traditional dish, it was more like a frozen fillet but it wasn't terrible. My husband and I have a combined 12 years of food and Beverage experience. So we know that Valentine's Day is EXTREMELY busy and that the best thing to do is make a reservation. We made a reservation for 7:30pm on Valentine's Day. Upon our arrival, we were told there was a 30 min wait REGARDLESS of whether or not you have a reservation. Why take reservations if everyone is going to wait?! We Waited 40 mins past our reservation time to be seated. I received auto text 5 mins after our reservation that they were "waiting" for us to show up and then another after being seated saying we were taken off the list for not showing up. Service was even worse. Our waitress was quick to get drinks and bring them but then we waited another 10 mins for her to come back and get our main order. We waited an additional 15 mins for our appetizer (which she took when she got our drink order). She never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and we had to request one both times. We Had to move plates to side of table in order to get her attention to remove them. We were done with app for 10 mins before she noticed them. We waited 40 mins for dinner. Mine came out Luke warm (had been sitting out and not under a heat lamp) My husband's steak was rare when he ordered medium. We Could hear her complain about another table "only tipping $7" very loudly on the floor. She said No apologies about how long until the end of our meal in hopes of getting a better tip. We even saw her standing in entryway to kitchen with another waitress just hanging around when there was dishes to be grabbed off our table. Another Older seasoned waitress, grabbed our dirty dishes, turned around and handed it to her. She had the biggest attitude when the other waitress gave it to her and told her to start taking care of her tables. What should have been a 2 hour meal became an almost a 4 hour nightmare. NO MANAGER IN SIGHT THE WHOLE TIME. So even if my husband and I wanted to speak to the manager (which we did want to), we couldn't because there wasn't one to be found. Stay as far away from this place unless you just plan on drinking at the bar. Because that's about the only good thing here. read more

We had one of those gift cards from long ago that we got and stumbled upon this place noticing it was covered under our gift card. I am typically very skeptical about chains but we decided to give it a try, it did not disappoint! The service was great, the atmosphere is really cool. Very island forward, tropical and warm feeling. We got the jerk wings which were amazing, the beef empanadas which had this slight curry flavor that was amazing with the chutney! We also got the coconut shrimp ( we had a tapas style dinner as it was 1/2 price apps haha) the crab dip was also great but I wish it was paired with something other than tortilla chips! Great food! Nice vibes. Amazing vibrant interior. We ordered bean tacos, yucca cheese sticks, chicken salad and jerk pineapple bowl. Pineapple bowl was tangy, sweet and juicy served with rice. Salad was the best comes with spring mix, beans, corn and soft chicken- with a citrusy dressing drizzled on it. Yucca cheese sticks were okay- good for one time try. Bean tacos were a little dry but the guacamole in it was very fresh. The serving was 5 stars. Must try! read more

I have to shout out this wonderful place - Bahama Breeze that my friend introduced me to this summer. I classify it as "an experience. I love everything here- it's our new lunch plans oasis. Always relaxing and so enjoyable! All of the staff are sincerely friendly and there's a real 'feel good' atmosphere. The food!! OMG so great - the interesting and delicious food and drinks are consistently great. Their chicken is out of this world and the coconut shrimp is amazing. We've loved everything we've tried and their mocktails (I had a mocktail daiquiri served in a fresh pineapple -fabulous!!). We never want for anything with the great service, but also don't feel pressured which is such a nice balance. And incredibly - even on the hottest days over this past summer, I hate the heat, but was very happily surprised that the outdoor dining was quite pleasant even on 100 degree+ days. Big bonus! It's just so lovely these days to get this kind of experience and have it be so obvious everyone working there seems happy, genuinely welcomes you and really cares you have the best experience. Excellent find today with some help from Yelp! I don't come out to the Nashua NH area very often but was making a trip over that way today and wanted to find somewhere new and different to try for lunch. We picked Bahama Breeze and I'm glad we did! Things didn't start off too well...there was no hostess waiting at the entrance and we had to wait a few minutes for the bar tender to see us and came over to help us out. The hostess came just behind him apologized. I get it, things have been very slow lately with Covid 19 and she probably thought she had some time to run and get something done. No worries. We chose to sit outside on the deck/patio. There's a very fun Caribbean theme going on here. Some great reggae music was on and it definitely helped me feel like I was back in Jamaica! The drink menu here looks really good! Lots of tropical drinks at pretty reasonable prices. For food we got the Jerk Chicken Wings which were cooked perfectly! Very flavorful and just enough spice. I ordered the Seafood Paella. It was perfect! Loaded full of seafood and chorizo. The rice was seasoned very well. It was a ton of food and I saved some to take to work tomorrow. Went for Fancy shirt dinner on Saturday night and having been so many times lately we know the menu by heart. We were seated by our host right away and got our drink orders taken quickly. After ordering our drinks, it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. We were so confused because the other tables around us and people who were seated after us, were getting their food. By this point we still didn't know where our waitress was! Finally, we saw her and she talked to the table next to them, telling them she had messed up some orders and she apologized. But after she spoke to them, she didn't come to our table or mention anything to us at all! 5 minutes later, we flagged down the host again and he explained that our waitress had a mishap with some to go orders but he would go look for her. We were doing our best to be patient but we were pretty hungry after waiting for an hour for our food and felt that we were being ignored by our waitress. Our food was delivered at 2:35, and our waitress did not mention anything at all! Nothing about the wait, no apologies, etc.. she dropped off the food and we ordered another drink. After ordering our drink, she quickly dropped it off at our table and didn't acknowledge us at all. The food was delicious, but sadly, cold. If you get the trio of drinks to sample, which is a good deal for 9 bucks, they can only bring out two at a time due to Massachusetts restrictions. Don't tell a parent how to take care of their kid!! My family has gone to this location a handful of times. Minus the usual longer wait time to be served, it's somewhere we enjoy going. Tonight though, the service was poor but they were "very busy". At the end of our meal a different waitress came over, older with blonde hair, and sat down asking my husband if our 2 year old wants a spoon or help eating her rice. when he went on to tell her that she doesn't like having help, and that's how she eats her food, the waitress proceeded to feed our daughter and rudely said "she does it fine with me", "maybe you should help her". Even our 4 year old daughter spoke up and said her sister doesn't like having help eating. She then made a remark about how our daughter still had her coat on (which she wanted it to be on) and told us how "the poor thing" is probably too hot. She then went on to snicker something to the table next to us. Im not sure why some people think they know more about how a parent should take care of their kid...but this waitress was out of line. She made it out like our kid was neglected or something. It was weird and after having already waited about 50 minutes for our food to come out....it was a bad experience.
