It was a tasty treat for the kids but limited seating and service was slow. They were prioritizing drive through customers and only 2 attendants. The servings are huge and it was tasty but I don't know that I would come back. The place was clean though. Nice and bright just sad no outdoor seating. read more

Stopped in for a date night this evening with my husband after I saw it recently opened in the heights. I am currently on a strawberry kick so I wanted to try theirs strawberry cheesecake one. However the cashier apparently decided I wanted dreamcicle. I would recommend to others going to make them read back their order input. I ended up not minding the dreamcicle with ice cream at the bottom. The baby size was perfect amount. I just was disappointed in how the guy who I said I was supposed to have something else to reacted. I understand they are freshly opened. However, I shouldn't have felt guilty for wanting what I ordered. He seemed annoyed that I even considered asking to remake it. I wish I had a picture, but Bahama Bucks is my favorite place for shaved ice. I'm a basic girl that loves strawberry with added cream to it. I will say there is inconsistency with the added cream. Sometimes it's all throughout other times. It's just on the top and that does bother me especially since it's an additional charge should definitely have it all throughout. We were so excited that this location opened in The Heights; It's right down Yale St towards 610. As soon as we entered we were kindly greeted. I noticed they have a drive thru but we opted to enjoy our treats inside. They made each sno-cone to fresh to perfection and we all had a good amount of syrup and ice to make a very hot Texas day seem perfect! We noticed a few delivery app orders being picked up and that's super cool if you want to go that route. Indoors at this location has about 6 small tables and it was clean and pristine. Live just on the other side of 610 from this place, glad to see someone finally move into this place. Parking is the worst. Overall it's was good. These types of drinks really aren't my thing but it was good basicly a root beer float, which is exactly what I wanted. The layout of the place isn't the best. Online orders are in refrigerator off to the left and not as recognizable as you would think...saw several people walk in looking confused. Put in a bench for those who are waiting for to go orders. Felt stupid standing next to the counter, like I was in everyone's way. PLEASE...the employees need to pull their hair back and put on at least a hat. read more

Last week I ordered an online delivery order to my office for a work event, but whatever 3rd party delivery service set to pick up the order cancelled last minute. The owner was a life saver, and personally drove the order out to me downtown so it didn't ruin my event. Absolutely love this location!!! Despite it still being in its grand opening phase (where it has its challenges) they have the most genuine customer service! I had the pleasure of being one of the first in line on its first day of operation and let me tell you the owner is doing a great job! WORST SERVICE EVER! If I could give zero starts I would. There were 5 people working, there was no communication between them. You can feel the tension and stress from each of them. The wait time both inside the store and out is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I went inside to order first and they didn't accept cash because they were rob last week... PUT SOME SIGNS UP. So then I came back and went to the drive through I was IN LINE FOR 1hr 30+. Only to when I finally get my order it was completely wrong! The snos are always delicious. However, today is the second time I have ordered a sno as a flat top. On their menu it states if you order it flat they upgrade the size to the next size to compensate it being flat and still get the same amount of sno. This location is dirty. Sticky tables and sticky floors. The games on the shelves are all incomplete. There was a broken table. It's smells like wet mold near the counter where you order. And they got my order completely wrong. The ice was not smooth like it use to be and syrup was just terrible The only bonus is they replaced it with no problem. read more
