My family and I always go to Bahama Buck's whenever summer comes around. Everything there tastes so good and it never disappoints me. The service was great as though the staff was young, they were very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is also very family-friendly. However, the flavors were a bit too syrupy for me and I wasn't a big fan of the consistency of the ice. It's probably because I prefer more of the Hawaiian shaved ice and tropical flavors. If you're looking for the regular root beer, bubble gum, etc type of shaved ice, this is perfect! Went here on a Thursday night. The line was everywhere and it seemed like the workers were frazzled with it being so busy. Took the snow cone home around the corner and sadly did not have syrup on the bottom half of our snow cone. Shaved Ice is such a weird concept, don't you think? Maybe it's just me. If there is a correct way to do shaved ice, Bahama bucks has it down. I don't eat snow cones or even drink Icees, but Bahama Bucks makes the traditional ice treat better by adding ice cream. And there you have it, folks: THE BAHAMA MAMA. That's how you fix anything (shaved ice, cookies, broken hearts...jk....)... add ice cream. Honestly though, whenever I come to this BB location, the staff is superior. They will recommend their favorites if you ask, which is typically something I do, because I like to try new things. The last time I was there, an employee recommended the Bahama Mama with Cherry Cola flavoring. It was REALLY good. If you're expecting a cherry coke flavor, though, drop that mindset before your first bite because otherwise you will be surprised. All in all, shaved ice isn't my first choice when it comes to sweet treats, but I can say that when I do visit BB I am never disappointed and I will continue to return! Intro: We have never had Hawaiian shaved ice before. I'm not personally a fan of regular shaved ice, so I wasn't exactly super excited to go BUT our friend highly recommended this chain. Cons: -A little hectic and intimidating menu with a TON of flavor choices. We just ended up pointing at a sign with a suggested flavor combo and got that. It was very crowded and difficult to hear the cashier when we were ordering. We ended up getting the Bahama Rama Mama with the shaved ice being a combo of pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. We each got larges but OMG we could not finish them. Smalls are a more reasonable dessert size. Pros: -The ice is so soft and melts in your mouth!!! Amazing!! I'm an instant fan. I don't even like shaved ice that much but THIS is so good. - the Yelp coupon helped a lot but even then, it's still a very reasonable price for the amount of product you get. - I am now addicted. Its not like a crunchy cheap snow cone.. its melt in your mouth ice snow..They have what seems like endless flavors to pick from and you can mix flavors too! Be sure to order with the cream on top! How have I not been to this place before? Got the Mango Creme and Sour Watermelon and my kid got the Birthday Cake. Absolutely fantastic! The place was packed but was still fast.
