Bahama Buck's is perfect even when it's cold out! Tonight we decided to stop by on our way home. Glad we did cause it was the perfect ending to our day. As usual, we were meant with a friendly smile and a willingness to serve immediately as we pulled up to the drive thru window (myself with a dog and 5 kids under 10 so i was not getting down but I really had a sweet craving). I ordered an Everest size and we split it. It was so huge we had enough for everyone to get almost a whole cup serving. The staff was nice enough to provide extra spoons for the little ones who of course can't get enough of the color changing spoon (ummm...cause it's pretty magical)! They have a very long list of flavors that can be mixed, even including flavors like birthday cake. We went out to dinner for my nephew for his promotion to high school and his favorite place is Bahama's Bucks. Never been here but always saw it driving by. We walk in and it was pretty empty. My nephew told me to get the Bahama Rama Mama where they put two scoops of vanilla ice cream at the bottom. I got the Mocha Java Bahama Rama Mama style. That's a lot to say. Can you say that three times really fast. Hahaha. Anyways, what they do is dump two scoops of ice cream at the bottom of you cup then dump this shaved ice one top in a nice big snow ball and dump the flavoring that you chose on top of the ice. Topping it off with a tropical umbrella and a spoon. I got a medium and it was huge. I thought it was really good but very sweet. I guess I would compare this to Rita's and Joe's Italian ice. Italian ice is better but this was really good. BB can give you bigger servings and I think the prices are a little comparable. Noticed a bunch of younger people coming in on a Friday night. Mostly, high school kids. Guess they need that sugar high. The place has a few booths and high top chairs to relax while getting your sugar high. So service was good, fast, and friendly. You can never go wrong with this place. They have one of the best shaved ice here in Phoenix and it's one of my favorite place to get dessert. They offer tons of different flavors and I love that you can create any flavor combination. Make sure you get it bahama mama style which comes with ice cream and make sure you add creme your shaved ice. It melts in your mouth and it will satisfy any sweet cravings you have. There usually is a wait but the staff really do try their best to get the orders out as fast as they can. I would also recommend avoiding the drive thru because the wait is twice as long. Overall I've never had a bad experience here and I love the shaved snow here. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the lines here can get long. Best shaved ice! What I love about it is that the texture of the ice is so smooth, its not like eating chunks of ice smothered in syrup. Speaking of smothered, they have a lot of different flavors to try. If you aren't sure, ask the people behind the counter what is good. Pretty disappointed in this location. I always end up waiting 30/45 minutes because their drive through is always backed up but it's close to my house so I deal with it. Today I was third in line (probably 10 cars behind me) I had ordered 3 drinks, when I got to the window I asked to pay for 1 on one card and the other 2 on another, they didn't know how (which is fine I can Venmo them but I've done it before) then slowly handed out drinks (3/5 minutes waiting between getting them) I noticed they were light on the flavor but I figured it was because they were sitting so long it just went to the bottom, welp I was wrong. They looked light because there was enough juice to change the color slightly and nothing else. If I wanted just straight up blended ice I would have just done it at home and not wasted $15 on something we didn't even get to enjoy. Won't be coming to this location any longer. read more

They sell those giant shaved ice things, and they have somewhere around 80-90 different flavors to choose from. They're so refreshing on a hot, sweaty AZ day.
