On the party front, this is a great spot for them. You can rent the whole space, which includes pool tables, air hockey, and a Nintendo Switch along with the bowling lanes. It's located on the SDSU campus, a great place for college students to hang out. There is no food available for sale in the bowling alley, but there is a restaurant next door, and you can go in and out, which is probably why they do it this way. I likely would have purchased something if there was something at the alley, but I didn't and felt like that was lost opportunity for the bowling alley to make more money. It's nice though that the bowling alley isn't a money grab. What I also loved about this place is that they don't have an arcade, which we all know definitely is a money grab that we have to budget for when taking kids to any other bowling establishment. They instead have pool tables, air hockey, ping pong, and a TV that can hook up to your Nintendo switch. It's nice that we can just enjoy a few games of bowling and then spend some mostly screen free time with friends. There is paid, 1 hour validated parking at the Trader Joe's nearby. It was an easy walk to Aztec Lanes.

Once you are inside, all the games are free play, and they have curated such a large collections of games. There is something for everyone here. The only downside was my feet started to hurt from standing in front of games for so long. This place also allows children. I assumed because this place served alcohol it would restrict the age but I attended on a Friday night, around 9 pm and there were still children around. I also loved how they decorated the place, all the neon and wall art. They really put a lot of effort and care into the art. They also had a bar for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, as well as a food menu. Very fun place, definitely worth a visit!

I stopped by Arcade Monster on a Sunday after the Padres game. I'm not typically a huge arcade…read moreperson, but I had some extra time and ended up having a really good time. Admission is $25, which gives you access to the games inside. I believe some of the claw machines where you grab prizes may cost extra, but I wasn't completely sure. One nice perk was that if you showed your Padres ticket, you received a complimentary hot dog, chips, and a bottle of water. The food was ready in less than five minutes, which was a great bonus after the game. There are two floors with a lot of different game options including pool tables. I personally loved the air hockey tables (although one was out of order). The basketball games were fun, and the punching games were entertaining as well. I'm not really a big video game person, so I skipped over some of those. Another one of my favorite games they had was Skee-Ball. My biggest complaint was the number of machines that were not working. Pac-Man was broken, one of the air hockey tables was down, the claw machine for candy wasn't working, some of the Skee-Ball games were unavailable, and Tetris was also out of order. For a $25 admission fee, I would expect the machines to be better maintained. I also didn't see anyone actively working on repairs while I was there. The atmosphere was fun, with a mix of kids and adults enjoying the games. They also have a bar area where you can order drinks, including beer (although no beer on tap), frozen daiquiris, and mixed cocktails. Overall, Arcade Monster is a fun place to spend a couple of hours if you enjoy games and are looking for something different to do. I just hope they put more attention into maintaining the machines because that would really elevate the experience.

Timing is everything…read more They plan these huge collaborations on weekends which is great for accessibility but the poor staff is swamped trying to accommodate it's not fair to anyone The lines are insanely long during these If you want the green all you can play timer you can only add it with a team member in that long long which is very annoying you can reload everything else from your phone or a kiosk. Even Chuck E. Cheese lets you self add time even pause time to eat that would have been incredible for bowling Food takes forever but when I looked in the kitchen only 2 people were in the kitchen during that massive release Almost all the machines work which is impressive for an arcade this size there were very few left out of service so def kudos there

My family and I visited Round1 a few weeks ago, and overall, the experience was just okay…read more The facility itself is huge, with a large bowling area and plenty of arcade games to keep everyone entertained. We visited on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't very busy. One thing to be aware of is that bowling is on a strict timer. By the time we paid, put on our bowling shoes, and selected our bowling balls, our 60-minute session had already been reduced. It would have been nice if the timer started once we actually began bowling. We considered extending our time, but the concession stand was completely out of food, which was surprising given that it was a Friday afternoon and the facility wasn't crowded. My mom and I also ordered glasses of wine, but unfortunately the wine tasted spoiled, so we didn't drink it. The waiter opened a new bottle of wine that tasted a lot better than the first glass. Overall, the experience didn't meet our expectations. While the facility has a lot to offer, the issues with the bowling timer, lack of food availability, and spoiled wine left us disappointed. We'll probably choose a different bowling alley the next time we're looking for a place to bowl.
