I got two sets of new skis here and are both fantastic skis. Then I needed new boots and had them fitted with Nick. He could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I cannot say say enough good things about the knowledgeable and friendly staff at Cole Sports at the base of the Park City lifts. My first experience was having to purchase a new pair of gloves after losing mine. Tim was so helpful that I decided to switch rental places for my second week here. The equipment was so much better than Aloha but what really made the difference was the time they took to make sure the boot fit was correct. They measured our feet and asked if our feet were wide or narrow. My boots and my boyfriends were perfect!! I was also given longer skis which were more appropriate for my ability level. Couldn't be happier and thinking about doing a demo package one day this week ! I am looking forward to the rest of the week and this will be my rental place the next time I am here. Joel and Tim are ski boot fitting wizards!! I cannot thank them enough for their help and patience. I've been skiing most of my life and for the first time I have boots that properly fit my small, difficult to fit feet. Joel went so far out of his way to find a boot for me - it's the end of the season and stock is low so he called and walked around until we found a pair. Then he created custom insoles and fit the boot to me. I knew day 1 in the new boots would take some time and adjustments and Tim took so much time to get them just right. He has an incredible amount of patience and continued making tiny adjustment after adjustment to get a precision fit. When we got the boots right, I could not believe the difference in my skiing! These guys are awesome and everyone in the shop is incredibly helpful and just wants to get you feeling great on the snow! read more

I don't often take the time to write a review. Usually only get really bad experiences I feel a need to review. Today my husband and I went to Cole Sports to get ski gear. The service was top notch. As a comparison we bought new gear for three kids at Jans around Thanksgiving and we thought that was good. But it was nothing compared to Cole Sports. The knowledge of the boot fitters along with the customization and selection made the experience by far superior. You can tell their staff really care about doing a good job. We left there today knowing we have found our shop on the mountain for all of our gear. We will back many times! read more

I want to second the other reviews for Nick in boot fitting. I now own the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever skied and my performance drastically increased as a result. I had been skiing in a pair of boots that I got from Surefoot ~4 years ago. After multiple seasons of lost toenails, a complete lack of effort on their part to adjust the boot, and a healthy dose of gaslighting ("it's just the way you ski causing the pain the boots are fine") I'd all but given up and resigned myself to the fact that in order to ski I would need to be in pain. After reading some reviews about this Cole Sport, I decided to give things another shot -- and holy cow I'm glad I did. Nick got the fit right. Period. My old boots were a size too small and way too narrow. Nick took the time to ask questions that made sure my fit was correct. He also enhanced the fit by adjusting multiple aspects of my boots from the buckles to the orthotics. At one point he heated my boots to punch out the plastic and to make room for my wide feet. Most importantly, however, he was thoughtful about the process and genuinely cared. Thanks to Nick and the Cole Sport team. I couldn't recommend them more highly! read more

Wow. This place 20 years ago was the go to place for top of the line ski wear. A lot has changed in 20 years. There are plenty of sales people on the clock but no one available as they're all trying ongear or chatting amongst themselves. Also no one seems to know the product and what they sell and don't sell. Do they just pull people off the street for sales help. Disappointed especially in level of service the manager provided, the guy who's 200lbs overweight, but works at an athletic ski shop. Unbelievably unhelpful and rude. Train your staff in the product and quality customer service while you're at it train a professional management team able to lead. I will find another place to spend my money in Park City for ski gear. read more

I have my first upcoming ski trip in Park City, Utah, so I needed outfits for the trip. I lucked out by finding Cole Sport's website and calling in, because they placed me on the phone with a girl named Tiffany and she was beyond helpful - she spent probably a full hour on the phone with me walking me through all options in the store that would fit my size and also that would please my taste based on what I told her I was looking for. She sent me pictures, pricing, brand name, etc of each item. As a result, I probably spent more than I planned to because she sent me so many amazing options, but it was 100% worth it - I saved on time in terms of shopping in store and in terms of her expertise helping me to quickly know what is best for my upcoming trip. She was so nice, not pushy at all, and she helped me pair together two solid outfits (pants, jacket, beanies) for my upcoming trip. She mailed everything out that day + free shipping. I recently had a snowboard binding break mid mountain. I brought it straight to cole sports at the base and the guys there were able to fix it within minutes and got me back on the mountain. Rented skis, boots and a helmet here - the staff is super knowledgeable and gave me some tips for slipping into my boot that I'd never heard before. Of course when they up-sell you but on a powder day on Park City, you go for it. Pro tip - you can store you skis overnight here for free ($7 bucks closer to the slopes) AND they have lockers for just one dollar (100 yards away it's $14 bucks). Such great service!!! We had purchased our own equipment, but my 15-year-old son couldn't get his feet into his new ski boots. Tears. We decided we may need to rent him some boots for the day, and went into Cole Sport looking for help. Our sales guy, Chad listened respectfully to our particular issue. He measured my sons foot, took a look at his boot, and suggested new socks. He walked us through the process of inserting his foot into the boot, and then gracefully repeated all his instructions for a 3rd or 4th time when my husband joined us. I rally appreciate the time he took to help us with our issue. I also appreciated that he spoke to us respectfully even though we were literally doing something as simple as putting on socks and boots. Five stars all the way!!! read more

I went in on New Year Eve towards the end of the day to get bindings on my skis. When I walked into the shop I was greeted by an associate who not only pointed me in the direction of the shop but walked me there and carried my skis. He got me all set up and handed my off to Danny and JP. I asked if I could get the skis back the same day so I could hit the slopes first thing the next morning. I came in on a recent afternoon to look at snowboard jackets. I had actually just come off the mountain and still had my helmet on, which turned out to be great because I found a jacket that features a helmet hood so I was able to make sure it fit well. The saleswoman was not pushy and gave me her honest opinion regarding size (I was undecided) and that always goes a long way with me. I left with a jacket that I absolutely love. We also rented my child's ski equipment for the week here and were very impressed with the fast, efficient service in the rental department. I have been coming here for years--bought all of my child's base layers from here--and have always enjoyed the experience. One wish: the buyer should really consider more options for underlayers for tweens and teens. There's a good selection for very little kids and adults and not much in between. The buyer would do well to remember that those little kids grow up to be be junior high/middle schoolers and if the parents can't find what they need from Cole, they'll go somewhere else.
