I literally have their schedule on my calendar for when they visit my work. It's something I look forward to days in advance. I love the full flavors and the perfect portions. A little bit of everything is what I go for. The combo is apparently off menu, but they are happy to comply. My mouth is still reminiscing about the depth of the marinated chicken. It was deeply infused as apparent in each bite, as I break each cube into smaller pieces so the flavors last longer. Hope you try it and enjoy it as well.

I came into the restaurant asking how long my order would take, she said 10 minutes. Although there were chairs and tables under an eave, I chose to go to the car. Faviola brought the food to me and it was sprinkling outside! She even came back and gave us extra utensils when she realized there were two of us. All the while smiling:) I ordered via yelp because we were starving and easily this restaurant has their menu in organized and visually appealing. Their descriptions and the variety of selections and customizations on point. My husband said he wasn't hungry but then saw the food and we scarfed it all down. He gave it 8.5 and said would come back. I ordered pickled vegetables which I thought was going to be onions but I think it's actually cabbage. Not my preference so I will take that home to the parents. Did order yogurt dip- husband was a fan. The chicken thigh and filet were so tender. I had put a note on the order for medium rare. I wouldn't call that medium rare but it was tender nonetheless. I'm sad I had to pay extra for a half of a Roma tomato, salad and lavash- the lavash I saw it in the add-ons menu so I assumed it wasn't in there. Ended up with so much lavash. No need to buy extra. The entire thing came up to $63-ish. The food was 4/5 but service was 5/5! I know this economy has everyone struggling. This was probably the most I have spent on Mediterranean food. I would have expected $45-$50. We just came back from Turkey so this would have costed us $15-$20 USD. Portions for rice and meat were good though! All in all- would come back!

The rice was great (a lot when it's the only side) the onions were yummy which is huge for me bc I never like the onion "salad" restaurants usually give. This one they properly "rinsed" the onion and it wasn't too sharp with a nice cilantro top note. I tried the chicken from my husband and wasn't too blown away personally but he and the other person with us that ordered it loved it. Price wise you get a solid portion so even if it might be more than some other places I don't think it's unreasonable. If you're really on a budget you can get a single koobideh for I think it was $9 which I wish I did bc I had a lot of rice left over but not much koobideh for my left overs the next day. Space is small so just keep that in mind if you plan to go with a larger group. We were a good of 6 and we barely made it work. The staff is great but it is more a self service (seat yourself, order at kiosk, get your water) with them bringing the food out to you.

We arrived an hour before closing. We were greeted with smiles. Lots of open tables. Cool music playing and restaurant was nice and clean. Walked straight to the kiosk and looked through the menu. While looking at the menu, we seen one of the waitresses with two HUGE plates of food. We asked if one of those was a dish and they said yes. I'm glad we seen that cause I would have ordered a dish for my wife and a dish for myself. The plate was so huge, my wife and I shared 1 dish and left full! We ordered the combination plate of beef kebab and chicken breast. I thought the chicken breast was going to be dry but it was hella juicy and seasoned very deliciously. The beef kebab was delicious as well. After ordering that dish, the lady in the front asked if we liked "Tahdig". I didn't know what it was and she said it was crispy rice. She gave us extra Tahdig for free. Once our food came, we noticed the Tahdig. My wife and I took our first bite together. Honestly, very very very good. It's like a crispy rice pancake. Taste of Persia exceeded my expectations and I'm very glad we have something so delicious (that's not Asian) close to us. I will be returning here more often. It might be on a "sketchy" side of San Jose but it's definitely worth a visit.

I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, a saffron chicken wrap, hummus and falafel on the side. The flavors did not do it for me. I love tang but nothing tasted pickled. The hummus had a wierd after taste and a tang that lingered like a bad aftertaste. I understand lemon but it wasn't fresh citrus. I've had such amazing hummus in my life and this did not come close. Falafels arrived warm and they are good. Nothing extraordinary. Hummus came with 1 pita and the texture of pita was off. It did not look or taste like pita. My wrap was saffron chicken wrap with fiery sauce, all veggies and no tomatoes. It was a nice wrap but chicken was scanty. I had to hunt for chicken. Again, their sauces did not do it for me. My husband's chicken shawarma bowl was good. He liked the crispy chickpeas in the bowl. On the plus side, whatever chicken my wrap had, tasted nicely charred. We chose the chicken skewer, pork skewer, and bifteki for our 3 meat choices as well as an order of Spanikopita. Our food was delivered to our table promptly. I grew up eating my Mom's Mousaka and I've eaten it in Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Let me tell you, their Mousaka was excellent. The eggplant, potato, meat filling and béchamel on the top were perfect. It's definitely a must try. The three skewers of meat were so flavorful and juicy. Both my husband and I loved it!! The pita bread it came with so warm and soft. The Spanikopita was fresh and hot. Delicious flaky phyllo dough with a savory spinach interior. The salads that came with each dish were also wonderful. Their feta on the top was so good and I loved the Kalamata olives. Customer service here was great. The young lady that helped us when we ordered was very friendly and helpful. I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part.
