Just left this joke of a dealership. Came to look at a car, emailed at around noon and Jay Barney (who had poor reviews per their own customer website) says the car is still available. I email him at 12:21 and say "cool I'll be there by 6, I get off at 5. I make the 30 minute drive and get there and this bozo looks dead at me without even asking if I needed help. A black salesperson does. He gets Jay and he says "did you get the email I sent you? The car sold." I provided this guy with my phone number to text and he NEVER emailed me telling me the car sold. How did i get all of your other emails and not the most important one. Calls sell everyday but don't waste my time if the car isn't available. JAY BARNEY had an attitude that HE had waters MY time. The nerve. He then goes to his computer and says "yeah I emailed you at 12:15 saying the car sold." My email to him providing my phone number and confirming the time is be there was sent at 12:21. I received no further emails from him after he confirmed the vehicle was still available. The dealership may not be too bad but Jay is a joke and makes it appear that way. I brought my Mercedes in for inspection, and service was beyond my expectation. For Baierl excellence and professionalism transcends a car brand. When you get a good shop like Baierl Toyota service you keep going back to it. It was my second car that they serviced because I was very happy about how they diagnosed and fixed my Prius for work and an amount way less than my own personal misdiagnosis. When I had to meet a project deadline I phoned Baierl Toyota to ask whether it was possible to postpone the appointment a few days. Brian affably replied, "I don't see why not." Shawn, the manager, has implemented every conceivable measure to ensure customer safety during the pandemic. When the vehicle dropped off for a recall repair was ready to be picked up (even earlier than estimated), this was communicated professionally and genially via a phone call. Extremely unhappy with this dealership. My boyfriend and I got a 2016 MINI JCW and flew in from Chicago. The entire process was fairly smooth with a few hiccups. They don't have the same level of hospitality as Chicago does. Who really made this process a nightmare was Adam Kukic, their finance manager. They didn't have a title on hand... no big deal. The dealer gave us a temporary 30 day plate and sent us on our way. We are now at the end of week 3, and I've called Adam and the dealer approximately 9 times. Not once did I get a response. They took my money, but their after sale process is a complete joke. I finally snapped, called and gave an ultimatum. Either someone calls me back by the end of tonight, or tomorrow morning, I'm booking first ready truck to ship the car back to them, then have my legal team take care of the rest. Go elsewhere. I would watch out buying any used vehicle from them. The just slap new inspection stickers on there old vehicles and hurry up and sell them. I was there a Saturday looking at a 2010 sequioa platinum. Vin 5TDDY5G12AS029701 i was told they just got it in on a trade a week or 2 ago. They just inspected it. They showed me the inspection report. Just need brake pads and a oil change. It said on the report. Brake rotors were resurfaced. Alert......no one cuts rotors anymore. So I was like wow. Why would they do that instead of new ones? Cheaper Anyways the vehicle muffler was completely rotted off from the tailpipe. Front 2 tires were almost bald on the edges. Would normally fail inspection. The washer fluid reservoir was cracked wouldn't hold any fluid.....and when I hit the gas hard the motor made a noise I would assume is a engine mount. Also it pulled left going down the road also. i thought I was on 1 of those prank shows..... No it was real. I went in and talked to the sales manager he said what's the problem? I said I can't believe your mechanic inspected that.....he said well give me a chance to make it right. ......... What you mean really inspect it? I said you should fire your mechanic. read more

Baierl Toyota is definitely the worst car buying experience I've ever had in 45 years of my driving years. I don't even have the time or energy to go into the details of the unprofessionalism and the horrendous lack of customer service. I spent more money on a car from them than ever before but felt completely disrespected and just plain ripped off by the end of the whole ordeal . Never Never Never again could I feel OK giving them my business or referring them to anyone. My 21 year old niece was mortified being with me and even in her youth was wise enough to turn to me and suggest I walk away because there was clearly nothing I could do to feel heard or even remotely close to feeling good about my transaction with them. The minute papers were signed it was as if they could care less about how you feel. I would suggest to anyone to go elsewhere or make sure you read every single word plus the fine print before you sign anything. These people are not people of their word. read more

The sales rep (I believe his name was Alex my memory is not great with names) was extremely nice about this and worked with me the whole way to make sure he had time to see me. They were very clear and informative about the vehicle and overall extremely nice and helpful. Bad dealership. Not only is the place dirty the sales staff and management seem to be disorganized, lacking training and customer service. I saw a vehicle online and called (spoke with Erik). Plenty of noise in the background and it was difficult to hear, but i asked if the vehicle was still on site and expressed interest to come and take a look. Apt was set for 9:30 Sat morning. Upon hanging up I asked Erik to send me an email with his phone number in case something came up on my end. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Got to the dealership on Sat, was told the car sold late Friday night (they close Friday's at 6). Never got a courtesy call, they lied and said they left me a message THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Manager was too busy to even come out to talk with me. They don't care, shop elsewhere. read more

I could not be more disappointed with an experience. Our family Sienna had several minor safety recalls that needed addressed. We made an appointment which had to be scheduled out several weeks in advance to ensure that the correct parts were in stock at the dealership to fix the problems. So far, so good. I send my wife and toddler daughter down to have the recall items fixed for a 9:00 appointment. My wife calls me at 9:02. She has been there for about five minutes, the car is still sitting where she parked it and they are telling her that we need a font end alignment. I told my wife to kindly decline and only have them do the recall items. I am already very suspicious at this point. Three hours later, they call my wife and tell her that our vehicle needs $1,400 in work that is critical. They attempt to convince her that the vehicle is not safe to drive home. My wife is now upset and calls me. I tell her to decline the work and just bring the car home after the recall items are finished. You would think they would respect this, but no. They then continue to push her and tell her that there was one item that absolutely had to be replaced before she drove the vehicle anywhere. That it was absolutely critical and this would only cost $50. It ended up being the CABIN AIR FILTER!!!! My wife is now worried about safety and just agrees to it because at this point all she wants to do is get home safely with my daughter. After repeated fear mongering about all the horrible things wrong with the car( alignment off 1 degree, transmission flush, spark plugs, ect.) my wife is finally able to leave. She calls me crying and apologetic about letting them replace the cabin air filter and was very disgusted by the entire process. You want to know the best part? They didn't even have the correct parts to fix the recall!!!! The whole reason we scheduled the appointment weeks in advance. I am not furious once I find out what they have done to her. I begin calling the dealership at about 2pm. I call continually, unable to get anyone at the dealership to answer the phone. I begin just going directly to the switch board operator who continues to just put me into random voicemail accounts. I finally am able to reach someone in the parts department after trying different extensions for about an hour. The guy in the parts department was very apologetic and vowed to have the service manager Doug give me a call. I did receive a phone call from Doug about an hour later. He defended the way my wife was treated and tried to explain that this was done as a "favor" to us as customers. This couldn't be further from the truth. This was the type of tactics you would expect to run into at some run of the mill drive through repair shop. Dinging you for everything they can get you for. He explained that the cabin filter was crucial because my fan motor might have blown on the way home due to it being clogged. I know that they saw we are not from the area and did not purchase the vehicle from them. There was a target on my wife's back as soon as she walked in there carrying my daughter. Doug eventually agreed to refund the $50 charge for the "critical" cabin filter which costs $8 at autozone which I would switch out in the parking lot in about 30 seconds flat. He assured me it would come off our charge card the following business day and someone would contact us to ensure that. This has been three weeks ago, no phone calls and no refund. They were also to call and let us know when the parts come in for the recall that the didn't have. No call about that either. This dealership is a high volume dealership. The greed that the service department displayed was incredible. Do not trust them and do not send anyone you care about to this dealership. Very disappointing Toyota. read more

I am not one to write reviews, but I feel I need to do this. Do not buy a car here. The salesman I had was the only good thing about the entire process. I was deceived at more than one point. I have been purchasing cars since I turned 21. I had to call the state to get my registration fixed, and in their words "they did not file the title correctly". I never saw the window sticker on the car until I came home. It was under a pile of garbage and barcode stickers that came from the transport of the vehicle. Let me say I was beyond shocked by the deception that I found. I took out my financial paperwork and reviewed it. Needless to say, I was shocked yet again. I am still waiting for the money that is owed to me because of their errors. The vehicle was purchased at the end of June. I contacted Toyota Customer Support and they have been amazing. I went to another reputable Toyota dealer and had the particulars of the vehicle explained. I have a car with just over 1,000 miles on and instead of enjoying it every time I get into it I am disgusted. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I came here looking to trade my jeep in for a more practical vehicle. I looked around the lot for a little before deciding to go in. The lady at the desk called for an available sales rep. After waiting 30 minutes to talk to a sales rep, we waited another 20 minutes for him to find keys to a Tacoma. He then said that it was already sold so there was no point in looking, that was the only one they had and that they weren't going to be getting anymore for a while. Then walked away. That was it. I wasn't set on a specific model. No preference on manual or automatic, or even what trim level. Apparently there wasn't one car on the lot he was willing to show me or try to get in. What a shame. Between buying my Volkswagen and Jeep, I've never been to a dealership that just didn't seem to want my business in the slightest. read more

I purchased a 2016 4runner on 2/19/19 and the vehicle was the only positive thing about the process. I had made an online appointment with Matt and was told if he were busy then Dave could help me. My plans changed and I came earlier which was a good thing b/c I was in for a 5 hour ordeal. I came with my 10yo son, the title of my trade, and a pre-approval letter from my credit union. There was no welcome or inquiry as to how to help. I had to approach the sitting salesman, Jim Devlin who was closest to ask if I could speak to Matt or Dave. With a confused look he responded "Who?" I repeated Matt or Dave, and added I had a later appointment. It became clear he had no idea who these people were and asked again. I felt he was having trouble grasping what I was saying, even when I said I came to look at the 2016 4runner he seemed confused. In time I got across that I would like to look at a vehicle, and he went to get the keys. While he was gone one of the other salesman, standing near us and the front entrance began brushing his teeth. Now I'm all for dental hygiene but not on a showroom floor. My son found it hilarious. On the positive side, the test drive went well the trade-in offer was fair and we settled on a price. I then presented Jim with my pre-approval letter and credit union information and contact. He returned with a cost break down which contained two warranty purchases we did not discuss. He showed me the payment figure @ 4.2% which was the percentage quoted to me by my credit union. I had done my own calculations with a variety of sale prices and had come up with a payment in the $470 range. Jim's numbers were over $530. I caught the add-ons right away and waited for him to explain what they were and why he added them without discussion or my consent. He said nothing. Finally I asked him what the two add-ons were, one was over $2800 and the other over $800. He told me they were warranties. I told him was wasn't interested, he pushed a little more, I quietly listened to the pitch and again said I'm not interested. He became incredulous and with some hostility demanded "Why not?" I explained that every thing I read about extended warranties says that are not worth the cost. I added that every consumer advocacy group that I know of supports that conclusion. And that I know from personal experience that it's not a wise purchase. With that he heard me and sent the paperwork to Dom Meyer to handle the finance, and things got interesting. Dom came out and explained that they had had someone quit and he had to come in on his day off and he thanked me for my patience. It was going on 7pm by the time they got to us for signing. One of the first things Dom says to me is he is going to tell me about the warranties they offer. He added "You my not want to hear all this but I have to tell you, it's the law so you have to sit here and listen." I offered no objection and despite the demeaning and insulting tone, reminded myself that he was having a long day, just let it slide. He explained each package for sale and I responded "Thanks, but I think I'll pass." to each, there were 5 I believe. With each refusal to buy he would challenge my choice with the same demeaning tone "Why wouldn't you buy this" was asked over and over again and I repeated my rationale, the same given to Jim, over and over. At this point I just wanted to get things wrapped up. I'd traveled 15 miles, endured 5 hours of distain and mistreatment,had NO desire to come back Going over my financing Dom saw I was retired and inquired from where. I told him I had taught. He asked where I told him. he recognized the school name and said "Lot of Blacks there huh?" I wanted to be sure I heard correctly so I said "I'm sorry?" He then asked about the school's feeder pattern; "where do the kids come from?" While applying sales pressure there was one particular warranty he really wanted to sell, so at one point he said "Not to be a smart-ass but Consumer Reports says it's good" In front of my 10 year old son. He did say pardon my language, and my son has heard that before, but that is hardly professional behavior. As we were going through the figures I noticed the taxes seemed high I pointed this out and in the most rude way Dom said "Oh that's a mistake. They happen. You know!" The most egregious action was they had ignored my request to use my own credit union. On his own, without discussion or permission he had run my loan through Toyota Finance. I thought I had made clear my wish and had been through 5 hours of unpleasantness so I didn't notice this until 6 days later when I got a "Welcome to Toyota Finance" letter. I called, asked to speak with the manager, they weren't sure who that was, left a message. Had to call again today and spoke with Doug. He spoke to Dom. Dom called, apologized, offered two solutions both were an inconvenience, so he offered a gas card. I would not go to Baierl Toyota again at gun point, Stay away. read more

I took my truck in for the 10,000 mile service and tire rotation. I asked the tech if he could grease the prop shaft. He looked at me blankly and after I showed him where the two zerk fittings are, he said "we never touch those". Guess what: the maintenance schedule says to grease them every 5,000 miles if you drive on dirt roads ( I do) or every 15,000 miles. I shrugged... oh well, I can do it myself. When the truck came back out, I quickly checked the tires... I always mark them RF, LF, RR, LR to ensure that they were rotated correctly. Guess what: the tires hadn't moved! They didn't rotate them... The service manager was apologetic, but I have to be honest: if you take your vehicle to Baierl Service, there is NO guarantee that the techs do ALL of the tasks on the maintenance checklist. There's no guarantee they will even rotate the tires. There's no guarantee that they even know what a grease fitting is. I'll use an independent garage or do my own maintenance from now on. read more

I requested for interior vacuum when I left my car for service. Even though they told that they will do it, but they didn't. When I told about it, the response was ' yes, we did it and I checked with my boss and he confirmed it'. I was bit shocked as they didn't even vacuum but was telling me that they did it. Terrible Sales staff, manager, and organization. Once you buy a vehicle from them, they make their money and forget about you. I have purchased a New Subaru WRX, a pre owned civic, and have referred my brother, girlfriend, and now my business partner to Baierl. My business partner bought a 2014 Cadillac ATS from Baierl Toyota, very low miles and in amazing condition, Now.. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes for Gene, and a lot attendant to find the keys for the ATS, solid F for organization. On the test drive, Gene didn't say much, didn't know the warranty coverage, didn't know the features or how to access any of them either. Anyways, he bought the car because of the condition and low mileage was a steal. While signing out in the Finance office, we noticed there was only 1 key, so we asked if you had another key? They said yes they just have to find it. The day we left from the dealership after purchasing the ATS, the car wouldn't start because the only key we had for it was dead. No big deal, gave him a ride to the dealership and then they told us to go to baierl Cadillac to get a battery for the key (even though the batteries are universal???) arrived at Baierl Cadillac and they charged us to replace the battery.. THEN we found out the Remote Starter on the OEM key fab does not work. Along with that, they cannot find the second key they promised. They will not give us a second key, instead want to charge $300 for a new key and will not fix the first one because they said it is aftermarket. Researched the vehicle to find out this specific VIN has a Remote starter attached from the FACTORY. ITS OEM EQUIPMENT. While trying to figure out the key situation, we got a light on the dash about maintenance.. "Oil Level Low"....."Oil life: 1,000 Miles..." Grade/Ratings. He helped us get the needed info to Baierl ahead of our visit, speeding up the overall process when we arrived, and he took the time to show us all the features on the new Rav4 before we left for home. I had planned on keeping my 2006 Toyota Sienna AWD for a few more years--at least until I got my kids through the kindergarten pick-up line, but that plan changed last week when my Sienna was totaled in an accident. I was hit almost head-on by another car while going about 50 mph, and the van kept me safe while the front end was destroyed. Luckily the other driver and I were not injured. After seeing how well my car absorbed an impact of that magnitude, I decided that only Toyota would do as a replacement. Baierl Toyota is the closest dealer to me so I stopped in to look around and met Keith Peindl. He was wonderful! He found the AWD Siennas that had just come in from trade, showed other vehicle options that can fit my family of five, and then found the perfect car for me: Toyota Highlander. It's a gorgeous car and I couldn't be happier. This was the easiest car-buying experience I've ever had: great salesman (not only very patient with me but extremely kind to my girls), excellent inventory to choose from, and I was truly impressed with the prices and got my Highlander at a great one.
