He reached out for a conversation before I came in and I knew I was in good hands. And then I was BLOWN AWAY by what he was able to achieve!! I had expected it would take a few visits to get there. Justin knows hair!! There is a science and an art to color, especially for those of us wanting dimensional color. Justin has both expertise and artistry!! I'm just delighted. No biggie b/c the place seems clean all around and I was in no rush. When it's my turn, I requested the "textured, two-block with a close fade". Lilly proceeded to pin my hair up, worked the fade down to a 1.5" guard, and then shampooed/conditioned my hair. She seemed very comfortable to talk to during my appointment. However, all the positive energy stopped flowing when I returned back to her chair. She asked me if I wanted a side-part, which was the first red flag b/c a two-block is usually a mid-part. As for texturing, there's barely any scissor work involved; all she did was used the thinning scissor (the one with teeth) in a few places and that's it. Her primary tool was the electric razor which seemed very basic and left me wondering if she'd ever worked on men's hairstyles before. Out the door, I paid $40 for a haircut that my barber could've done a better job at.
