We had planned a nice date afterward, and this was supposed to make me feel good. Instead, I left crying. Melissa had apparently double-booked appointments. After washing my hair, she left me sitting there with a towel on my head while she worked on another client. Throughout the haircut, she repeatedly put her hands against my face, smudging and ruining the makeup I'd spent time putting on for our evening out. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary, and by the end of the appointment my makeup was a mess. Then I saw my haircut. I specifically asked for face-framing layers and bangs. What I walked out with looked absolutely nothing like what I requested. The cut is choppy, awkward, and honestly makes me look like Joe Dirt. I was so devastated that I couldn't get out of the salon fast enough. I cried the entire ride home. My fiancé and I ended up canceling our night out because I was so embarrassed. I can't even bring myself to post photos of the haircut because that's how humiliating it is. To make matters worse, I was encouraged to purchase a hair product to "keep my hair shiny." Before buying it, I noticed the bottle appeared to be cracked. When I pointed it out and said I didn't want it, both Melissa and the owner insisted it was just the label and that the bottle wasn't actually cracked. When my fiancé picked me up, he examined it, ran his fingernail over it, and confirmed it was in fact cracked all the way around. What was supposed to be a relaxing, confidence-boosting experience after a difficult week left me feeling worse than when I walked in. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this salon.
