It had been neglected by prior family with little maintenance and was years overdue for paint. The prep work alone was over 8 days of scraping and sanding. Technical skill is one thing but in this business aesthetics can be everything especially when it is a home and can encompass all those complicated feelings that arise from a long history with multiple generations having lived and loved in this house.
