I think that using Apple or Google maps needs to be accented by talking to the folks at Pinocchio to find out how to do it. we just followed Google, but didn't get there and had to ask a worker working outside his place of business and said we took the wrong driveway. And when we did that we saw a sign that pointed to where Pinocchio was. We had a good laugh! And didn't have a problem when we returned to pick up the chair!

As you can see in the photos, the barstools are now Beautiful, Better than new. They did it for a good price, and got it done faster than the original estimated time. These could have ended up in a landfill, but instead will give us many years of use.

Jose designed a new backrest for the piece, cut at a slight wedge shape for lumbar support, and the result is just so much better than the original setup. The process was not fast, as he had us come back twice to make sure the foam he'd ordered felt like we wanted it to (we returned once to test the base cushion, then once more for the backrest), but I'd much rather have the project done well than quickly. I'm really glad to support a family business of craftsmen who know their trade and stand by their work.

I also asked Desiree and Tony to make the seat cushions and 10 back cushions of my kitchen window seat about 6 years ago. That window seat forms the breakfast nook in my kitchen. My 7 grandchildren have given it a workout over the years. A few of the seams were splitting as the threads had broken. I took the seat cushions back to Desiree and Tony at Petaluma Textile and Design for repair. I was surprised that after 6 years they remembered me and welcomed me like an old friend. They fixed the cushions and when I went to pay for the repair, Tony said, "Oh, there is no charge. It was just some broken threads." Honestly, it made my day. The quality of their work and the fabrics they use are recommendations enough, but Desiree and Tony are also kind and friendly.
