Loved the catfish that I got. Fries felt never ending and bbq sauce was yummy. And the bartender made a wonderful gin and tonic!

AWESOME place. Fantastic food, ACTUALLY good music, and Great service! We've been here with and without our kids and it's wonderful. (Granted we're very engaged parents who actually watch our children and expect them to behave in public) but Bait Shack Tavern is wonderful. Boomer, Keely and Alex are all great people that we've had great conversations with. We've also brought our dog and everyone has treated her super sweet and loving. We live ten minutes from here and it will be one of our top places if not the top place. read more

Rude staff, cold food, and more importantly, the servers and staff are not taking proper precautions amid the Covid Crisis in a very small dining environment. Staff is minimal at best, so expect the same poor and rude service when you order in. Personally, I won't take a chance since no one, including staff and servers, don't ask visitors or guests to wear masks. read more

My first experience with the Bait Shack came yesterday on a busy Sunday in Evergreen. I walked up to the bar prepared to order a drink. Before I could sit the bartender very rudely told me to sit down so he didn't have to chase my ass all around the bar. I can deal with slow service, mediocre food, even a bad vibe in a place but cussing at guests. Absolutely not. Do not patronize this place. They obviously don't care. read more

An awesome second story bar/grill. The upstairs patio is going to be great for the summer! I had the fish taco's (fried) and they were very yummy. They were served with salsa and chips and I LOVED the salsa. My boyfriend had the fried oyster basket and he ate them all.... I'm thinking he must have enjoyed them haha! We got the Crab cakes and Steak Tacos. The Crab cakes had too much breading so you couldn't taste the Crab. The homemade Tartar Sauce was good. The Steak Tacos were terrible. Not sure what they were marrianated in but awful taste. They did replace them with the Chicken tacos but they weren't much better. The Chicken did not have any flavor. The only other redeeming food were the homemade tortilla chips and Salsa which were very good. Would not go again. Very disappointed! read more

Great location at the Hwy 73/74 junction in Evergreen. Lacks parking but I know the area so was able to find a spot in the lot across the street. 4 beers on tap but more in the cooler. Small place with indoor and outdoor seating. I had no trouble getting a seat outside on the deck. The deck had 2 4 person tables w/umbrellas for shade and a bar w/4 or 5 stools. I ordered grilled fish tacos. They were good but a lot of sauce was used. I would rather have tasted the fish and not the sauce. The fish was topped w/slaw that was also very saucy. Too much sauce for me. The tacos came with black beans, salsa and chips. I'll go back but I'll try something else from the menu next time. read more

The waitress was extremely rude. Wrote our order down and still had the incorrect order. None of the menus were cleaned after use, they reused drink coasters. There was no social distancing aspects in place either. After eating, she had said was "was the BLT not good" due to the fact fries and the crust on the bread was not eaten. Major disappointment, considering so many positive reviews. I will never eat there again or recommend it. read more

Randomly decided to go for some food and a beer here after a Mountain Bike Ride - was super impressed! Ordering fish is always a gamble in CO - however the Bait Shack Bites (Catfish) really impressed me. These things were like lil' pillows of joy and the perfect pairing with an ice cold Coors. Kept hearing great things....finally tried it out! So good and feel like the dry steak is finally over since One World sadly left us. I had the bbq pork sandwich...smoky good!! Hubby had fish sandwich and gives it a thumbs up! Son had turkey sandwich and was happy. Only negative on food was the chips with the salsa weren't great. Service was super. Decided to pop into this place for lunch and so glad I did. My first impression was that it was quaint and cozy with so much character.. Immediately after being seated our server came to take our order. She has to be the friendliest server on the planet!!! I ordered the fish sandwich and it was so amazing.. and filling. My favorite fish and chips in the state, this is a winner. The Bait Shack has a family friendly bar atmosphere. It's a safe place. The service is alway good, the drinks cold and the view of downtown Evergreen does not get much better while indoors, though the patio is fun too. read more

I have to agree with the other person who gave one star, I was there with children, it does not seem children are welcome, the owner does not seem to have any tolerance for children. Which is interesting since they have a children's menu. I will not return to this establishment. read more

I was excited to try a new restaurant in town, but if you have a family this place is not for you. The owners have made it clear (as their cigarette smoke wafts through the windows), that they are a bar and do not want children in their establishment. The food is average bar food. You probably don't want to eat here unless you like fish tacos that has maybe two bites of what I would say was frozen cod and store prepared coleslaw on them. The jambalaya was nothing but rice that had no meat or seafood in and was not soupy at all! Really bad experience. Delish lunch - bait shack bites (catfish) are light and flavorful, dipping sauce has a nice bite and the fries are crispy and well seasoned. Fish tacos had great flavor and good sides of chips, salsa, and black beans. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Will be back! read more

Great little place in downtown Evergreen. This was my first time here, my husband's third. I had the oyster po'boy and it was the best I ever had. This place is awesome! I grew up on the east coast and really miss steamed shrimp. The shrimp here really hit the spot! Perfectly seasoned but not too spicy. Very fresh, too! The crawfish were also really good and fun to eat (I didn't grow up eating crawfish). We tried the fish tacos and cod sandwich, too, and both were flavorful and fresh. The service was friendly and quick. I was really flashing back to summers on Atlantic! We will definitely be back! read more
