Ahi Tuna and Fish and Chips

We came here for lunch and the place was very vibrant and friendly. Also quite busy for a weekday afternoon. We ordered the seared ahi tuna main course and the fish and ships. Everything was plenty and delicious.

    1 of the trivia

It was a great place and the service was super good my only complaint is i ask for Dr.pepper and one time they came back with Pepsi and the next they came with rootbeer but I love it here and I loved the trivia it got me and my family going and the food was good but my mom said her mash patatos tasted bad

    This was 13$!!!

Amazing food but the portions are ridiculously small for the price!! My hot avocado melt had one slice of avocado, one slice of tomato and a leaf of white iceberg lettuce...oh and one this slice of Swiss cheese...all on one GIANT (but good) sourdough roll.

Takeout order of salmon and veggies. VERY small portion. Not worth $16.50

Did takeout here tonight it was OK. I got salmon with grilled veggies and side salad. Boyfriend got the country fried steak and fries, and his mother got salmon and fries and cole slaw. My salmon was cooked very good, nice grill marks and melted in my mouth. But the portion was VERY VERY small. Not worth the $16.50 at all, not unless they were giving me double the portion. My side salad was good and the veggies were meh. The country fried steak was "eh" according to the boyfriend...and apparently it comes with brown gravy which is wrong (it should come with a white pepper sauce). His mother did not comment on her cole slaw.

We come here often. It's a great neighborhood pub. The food is excellent and the service is friendly but slow.

There was also a live guitar performance that added a nice touch to the overall vibe. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are great options. Expect to wait 30-60 minutes for a breakfast/brunch table, especially if you want one of the coveted outdoor spots. The seating is worth it though, the view of the forest and creek from your table is so endearing and serene. The food and drinks are delicious. The meals are all ornately plated, and well thought out, and made with great ingredients. The venue is semi-open air so there are a lot of flies, but every table has an anti-fly windmill/propeller. I will definitely go back, but now I know parking is super limited and annoying. All of the businesses in town are hyper aware of how limited this very popular restaurant's parking is, and aggressively inform you they are "Not Restaurant Parking". Plan to park curbside in the dirt on the outskirts of town far from any other business, and make the short walk to the restaurant.

The only thing I didn't like as much was the hashbrowns, they were just okay. I also ordered the jalapeño bread French toast (recommended by our server). I love jalapeño flavor, but I remember thinking it sounded kind of weird for French toast... but I'm glad I tried it because it was so good. They make their breads in-house and I would definitely get that again. I also tried some of my friend's banana bread and that was really delicious too. Didn't get a chance to try these since we had to get to the hot springs soon so thought it's too much food to finish in time, but they had a French toast flight and a Benedict flight, which I've never seen before. Pretty cool, I love anything where you can try multiple flavors. Overall, would reccomend this brunch spot in Idaho Springs. Would come back!

We came in around noon-ish and they were busy though we were able to easily grab a table outside. Their menu offers both breakfast all day as well as lunch. I got their turkey BLT and my friend got their breakfast platter. Mine came with fries and hers came with eggs, choice of meat, choice of grits or potatoes, and choice of french toast/waffles/pancakes. Because of the aforementioned altitude sickness, I did not get to enjoy but a few bites of my sandwich there but had it later and find it to be a delicious, hefty sandwich. The fries were very good! I was jealous of my friends french toast as it looked delicious. She reported it was. As well as the bacon. Much like Idaho Springs itself, this is a cute spot. Definitely worth stopping in, as well as visiting the other businesses in their downtown area. Parking is scarce, but there is both a free parking lot, as well as paid street parking.

What surprised us was a small crew of 3-4 men pouring concrete, at the entrance to the cafe and patio where we all sat. Literally 3-4 feet away from our particular table. Who knows, maybe a Saturday morning time slot was the only concrete pouring time slot available. It was odd though. But not odd enough to deter us from the delicious breakfast that we had, lol. We started with the cinnamon roll. Not too much icy and enough to provide the sweetness you're expecting. My breakfast burrito and his chicken fried steak and eggs were scrumptious. We thought about returning on Sunday, lol. The mountain drive was just enough to leave the suburbs and remind yourself that the mountains are literally next door. We'll def be back and back out in that patio, maybe newly expanded for the second time, haha.
