    1 of the trivia

It was a great place and the service was super good my only complaint is i ask for Dr.pepper and one time they came back with Pepsi and the next they came with rootbeer but I love it here and I loved the trivia it got me and my family going and the food was good but my mom said her mash patatos tasted bad

We came here for lunch and the place was very vibrant and friendly. Also quite busy for a weekday afternoon. We ordered the seared ahi tuna main course and the fish and ships. Everything was plenty and delicious.

    This was 13$!!!

Amazing food but the portions are ridiculously small for the price!! My hot avocado melt had one slice of avocado, one slice of tomato and a leaf of white iceberg lettuce...oh and one this slice of Swiss cheese...all on one GIANT (but good) sourdough roll.

Takeout order of salmon and veggies. VERY small portion. Not worth $16.50

Did takeout here tonight it was OK. I got salmon with grilled veggies and side salad. Boyfriend got the country fried steak and fries, and his mother got salmon and fries and cole slaw. My salmon was cooked very good, nice grill marks and melted in my mouth. But the portion was VERY VERY small. Not worth the $16.50 at all, not unless they were giving me double the portion. My side salad was good and the veggies were meh. The country fried steak was "eh" according to the boyfriend...and apparently it comes with brown gravy which is wrong (it should come with a white pepper sauce). His mother did not comment on her cole slaw.

This place is our new favorite place to go for consistently good food, drinks, and awesome service. Bartender Rodney is a huge reason we returned after our first visit. He is professional, friendly and knows the music scene like no one else. He brings all kinds of great bands, local and from abroad to the Woodcellar, where dinner and drinks can just as well be a concert or local party!! Kudos to all the staff that make this place a must go for food and entertainment venue.

The location is fantastic--it's situated right next to Bear Creek, providing a cool, relaxing atmosphere that really captures the mountain vibe. As for the food, it's excellent across the board. The breakfast scrambles are a highlight, topped with fresh sauces and served with perfectly crispy hash brown medallions. Their smothered burritos are another must-try, loaded with melted cheese and served with fresh sides. The only thing I didn't like as much was the hashbrowns, they were just okay. I also ordered the jalapeño bread French toast (recommended by our server). I love jalapeño flavor, but I remember thinking it sounded kind of weird for French toast... but I'm glad I tried it because it was so good. They make their breads in-house and I would definitely get that again. I also tried some of my friend's banana bread and that was really delicious too. Didn't get a chance to try these since we had to get to the hot springs soon so thought it's too much food to finish in time, but they had a French toast flight and a Benedict flight, which I've never seen before. Pretty cool, I love anything where you can try multiple flavors. Overall, would reccomend this brunch spot in Idaho Springs. Would come back!

I said it was the best burger I ever ate. My husband, whose hobbies include crushing joy with logic, said, "No it wasn't. It was an ordinary burger. You only think it's amazing because you almost died." Had to settle that debate, so we tried it without the kill-me-hike warmup this time. Food I don't like my burgers swimming in their own juicy filth. And these burgers are dry, juicy, beefy, and didn't almost drown in their own fat. Even the bun (brioche, I think) stayed dry as summer heat. Plus, their fries are that kind that almost seem battered. Crisp on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We also tried the deviled eggs, which was a nice update to an old classic. Atmosphere This is perfectly casual with outdoor dining (great for dogs). Big umbrellas and coverage from the summer sun. I've never eaten inside because why. Service Perfectly competent. Nobody gave us a pony. Nobody accidentally set us on fire. The food arrived quickly, while the check took its own scenic route through the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. No complaints. Value Expensive burgers at $18-22 each. But I only have burgers a few times a year, so when I do, I'm going to demand one of these from now on.
