We love the Hapy Hour here. They make fantastic margaritas and the HH menu is awesome. The gay friendly atmosphere is really nice and the food is very decent. We have eaten here for breakfast, lunch and dinner as it is in our neighborhood. The biggest con is probably that the service can really be hit or miss. Overall this is a great addition to N. I would recommend this restaurant to ANYONE looking for a great Mexican joint. So far I've had the breakfast burrito, which was great, but the Verde Burrito and Steak Burrito bought this place it's bragging rights. They were HUGE, perfect ratio of rice-beans-meat, and the meat was tender. The employee was extremely polite and the restaurant was clean. Great the next day too, plus it didn't give me a belly ache like fast food Mexican food. read more

Best Margaritas in Seattle, and probably farther. I also highly recommend the pork burrito and the potato tacos are also surprisingly good.

This is the best happy hour taco place. I am loyal to 1) the fish tacos and 2) the potato & cheese tacos as well as the 3) mushroom quesadilla. Those aforementioned items are consistently great, margaritas are strong and again, the happy hour prices can't be beat. Valentine always remembers me and my friends and I've had nothing but great service here. I know we keep asking about those bomb handmade chips they used to serve though I understand if it's a ton of work for the cooks (damn, they were good!). read more

Worst dining experience. Waiter did not want us to add another table to accommodate 5 people because he was expecting to be "slammed," which never happened, so five of us had to cram onto a 4-top. No avocados for guacamole, blamed the Costco order when Red Apple is a block down the street where avocados could be purchased. Very Lame. Avocado is an essential part of Mexican food and it had been told before we ordered that there was no guacamole, we would have an informed choice to go to one of the other Mexican restaurants on the strip. Food was boring and the waiter was tedious. Will not return or recommend. Should go back to being a coffee house. read more

Came in for the first time after unsuccessfully trying to get Beacon Ave Sandwiches. Cozy place with great service. The chicken mole enchiladas were excellent, exactly what (my gringo taste buds say) they should be. Will have to come back and try more. read more

I was so excited to try this place after reading mostly positive reviews. Arrived mid-morning and the place was fairly empty and we decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. Things started bad from the get-go. The waiter failed to navigate the bar separating the tables from sidewalk and spilled my coffee all over me. It wasn't just a splash but a real drenching all over my leg and shorts. I felt kinda bad for him because it was obviously an accident so I was as polite as I could possibly be. Luckily the coffee was not scalding or it would have been really bad. He refilled my cup for me and I will say the coffee was at least good. I ordered the huevos rancheros and they took quite a while to appear considering the place was nearly empty. They are advertised as sunny side up but my eggs had no runny yolk at all and were basically cooked hard. The sauce was ok but overall the meal was nothing special and not overly filling. MOST restaurants would probably have comped my meal after having dowsed me in hot coffee...like I said it was an entire cup of coffee on my lap not just a little bit but when the bill came the coffee wasn't even taken off. That to me is just poor customer service. I may give this place one more chance in the future since my friend enjoyed his meal and the reviews are fairly positive but my first experience was quite disappointing. I did peruse the happy hour menu while there but the prices didn't look like much of a discount...margaritas are reduced to only $7 from $8...not much of a HH discount for an already high priced drink......but who knows..maybe they are REALLY good. read more

i love this place! one of the best restaurants in north beacon hill for sure. their food is excellent--it always tastes homemade and for a very fair price. they also have great happy hour specials! their new lounge is always a fun time. i highly reccommend the pomegranate margarita. i must have one every time i stop in. coffee, lounge, and mexican food--this place has it all! read more

Went with a friend based on a review in the Stranger. The place was literally deserted when we got there but quickly picked up. Excited to see Happy Hour choices. I order the Quesidilla and he got a couple $2 tacos plus the pomegranate margarita. I liked the thick tortilla chips, he didn't. The salsa was primarily liquid, don't know where the veggies went. The appetizers arrived with guac, pico and something that was determined to be a mix of ketchup & mayo (?). The quesidilla was just OK, kinda flabby, no flavor, I only ate half. Tried a bite of the fish taco, crispy good. I ordered the mole enchiladas. He got the chili rellenos. Now I love a good mole, but this was not it. Started out OK but had a nasty bitter after taste that stayed in the mouth. 2 bites, I was done. Couldn't get myself to eat the rest, even though I was very hungry. Ate part of the rice & beans, then waited, and waited, and waited. (Did I mentioned I waited?) for the waiter to clear. Grantley it was busy, but when the waiter came to collect he didn't seem to understand my explanation, thought I was saying too spicy. Spicy I can do, but bitter no. Did order the coconut flan, really good. My friend got the chocolate, which was nice. We decided if we go back it will be for Happy Hour drinks & flan. I also took a really long time to get our check. Other people has already come in, ordered, eaten, and left again while we waited. Coming back is debatable. read more
