Wonderful food. So fresh. The cocktails were so lovely too! Will definitely be back. Welcoming atmosphere.

Friendly service these nachos were shockingly good I didn't think I could get full without a pile of meat, but these nachos prove me wrong! Ambiance was easygoing, we felt like we could talk and laugh. Wr also tried the sliders which were pretty good. I appreciate the unique menu here!

We came early on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 pm and it was a great time to come! They weren't busy and there was plenty of seating to choose from. Our server was very nice and attentive, and the food was phenomenal! I am ashamed it took us so long to try this place and now I want to come back ASAP! I love everything I ordered. I got the Key Lime Pie cocktail which was nice and strong and super tasty. If you like key lime pie you will love it. I also got the Portobello French Dip with the Kale Salad. OMG I think it was the best French dip I've ever had. Soooo good! I think there is something for everyone here, but you will especially love it if you're vegetarian or vegan. I'd like to bring our dogs and sit outside sometime. It's nice to have that option. It's small inside, but there is a variety of seating...3 booths, some tables and chairs, and bar seating. We will be back for sure!

Fabulous 100% vegan restaurant and bar in West Seattle. Food was delicious and beautiful and enjoyed by this foursome of 2 vegans and 2 omnivores. Service was excellent and the vibe was perfect. There is also a drag show later in the evening but unfortunately for my old @$$ it was past my bedtime. Will definitely be coming back here!

Had a delicious brunch here with some friends! I had the Biscuit Benny and they had the Avocado Toast and Tofu Rancheros. Everything was flavorful. I'm not vegan and eggs benedict is my favorite brunch food so I was a bit nervous about trying vegan eggs for the first time. I need not have worried - these were so good! We also had the Bloody Mary and Key Lime Pie drinks. The Key Lime cocktail wasn't too sweet. The Bloody Mary was perfection - it comes with a little beer on the side as well!

Mocktail with aquafaba, simple syrup, sour, and something else. Amazingly good; aquafaba stole the show.

This is a hidden vegan gem in Seattle, and easily in the top tier of vegan restaurants in Seattle. Both my wife and I are vegan. We had an earlier dinner on a Saturday night prior to seeing a show a half-mile down the street at ArtsWest. (pro tip to Seattleites like us who don't live in West Seattle... this is a great place for a pre-show dinner; also, there is a nearly empty pay parking lot by Rite Aid half way between the restaurant and ArtsWest.) We had the lentil nachos, pizza salad (not on the menu on the web site), a brownie butterfinger sundae (also not on the menu on the web site), and some sort of mocktail with aquafaba that was not on the in-restaurant menu or the web site's menu. Everything really goes on about the lentil nachos, and while they were good, the star of the show was the pizza salad. It consisted of two heads of romaine lettuce, with a cheezy sauce, seitan pepperoni, chickpeas, and roasted tomatoes. Incredibly unique, tasted great, and the flavors worked well. The mocktail was also awesome. In addition to aquafaba, it had simple syrup, some sort of sour... and something else that I can't remember. The aquafaba elevated the drink; I don't know why more places don't use it as an ingredient in mocktails. Great egg white replacer in mocktails. We're going to come back in the future and check out the various sandwiches as well, which all look good. Price-wise it's cheaper than what we're used to paying in Seattle. Generally, when we each have a drink and split an appetizer, entree, and dessert, we expect to pay well over $100 with 25% tip. Our check here came to $90-ish with $25 tip (and post-dinner coffee). The entrees are priced slightly less than what we'd expect, and the mocktails were very inexpensive (for Seattle) at $8 a pop. Ambiance is nice. It's a casual bar, with outdoor seating. We sat outdoors, but I'm not sure if that's the best choice, because the cars roar by. Inside there were a handful of booths and some tables. I wish they offered reservations, but on Saturday night at 5:45 pm it was busy but that there was no wait. Service was good, particularly since we were outside. Server came fairly quickly after we sat down, took our drink order, and when came back to take our food arrive. Drinks and food arrived quickly. He checked in once while we were eating, and then came back when we were finishing up with dinner to take our dessert order. This has definitely become our go-to place for West Seattle!

Smoky Barbecue sandwich (barbecue tempeh and cabbage slaw on a ciabatta roll) with soup of the day (Smoky Lentil Soup) instead of chips

We finally tried Box Bar for dinner and it was fantastic! I always thought this place was just a random wine bar (and I don't drink). It is a bar that serves wine, but they also have a fully plant based (vegan) menu with many interesting items. I ordered the TBLTA (tempeh bacon, greens, tomato, english cucumber, guacamole, and lemon mayo on lightly toasted sourdough bread). It normally comes with potato chips on the side, but I chose the house salad instead (extra $3). I'm a meat eater, so I didn't think my sandwich tasted anything like a traditional BLT, but it was delicious nonetheless. I also really liked the salad because the dressing was so good and I thought the portion was generous. My husband had the Smoky Barbecue sandwich (barbecue tempeh and cabbage slaw on a ciabatta roll) and swapped the chips for the soup of the day (Smoky lentil soup). He loved his sandwich and said it was really flavorful. I generally think lentils are boring, but I tasted the soup and it was amazing. During Covid-19 they are open for indoor dining. We eat early, so the place was pretty empty when we were there. Our server was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We would definitely come back for dinner but they also started serving brunch on Saturdays (10 AM - 2 PM), so we are also interested in checking that out!

My daughter asked if we can try Fire Tacos because her bff said it was good. We showed up asking for a table of 4 and were told the wait is about 20 mins. We walked to Ben & Jerry next door and had a small ice cream, sat down and finished it, then got notification our table was ready. It earns a spot on my list to return, especially we live 5 mins away.

However, it still tasted like it had a really nice flavor, and had a soft interior. It being actually spicy would've moved this dish up a lot, though each taco was primarily made out of this chicken - and there was so much of it it was practically insane - but I loved this amount shoutout to the onions as well - they were great I asked for the habanero sauce - which i thought was ok - wasn't spicy at all and didn't add much flavor. will go with another sauce next time tried mixing in some taco bell fire sauce which was interesting i love that these came wrapped in aluminium foil to preserve heat. a great touch overall, as far as taste, these were pretty good, but when you consider the amount of meat you're getting, along with overall portion size - it's simply a fantastic meal.

We kicked things off with the Dip Trio: chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso. It was fantastic. The guac and chips were on par with my longtime favorite spot, the queso was rich and delicious, and the salsa had a unique flavor that really stood out. It easily could have fed four or more people. I knew going in that I had to try their carnitas, but it was the other dishes that impressed me the most. The quesabirria was top notch. The cheese is plentiful and delicious, it's a blanket that I've to take a nap in. I was a bit thrown off by the chunks of birria, most places shred it up. But I would say that it was much more juicy than the shredded version, I was blown away. This comes with some awesome roasted jalapeños and onions. The carnitas taco was excellent. For a street taco, they load it up with meat. It's a very traditional taco, so just carnitas, onions, and cilantro on a tortilla.
