This was a great place to quickly stop for takeout while on a road trip. Very close to the highway, extremely fast service, and all the staff was very nice. We got a couple of quesadillas and tacos and everyone enjoyed their food. We agreed that the soft tacos were our favorites more so than the hard shells. The hard shells were clearly fried in house, made using their tortillas, so they were very crisp. The soft taco tortillas also seemed to be made in house and had great texture and flavor! Clinton has many restaurants but most are not for quick and casual dining, so it was a pleasure on a recent visit to discover Baja Burrito. On a late Saturday afternoon, most of the visitors were getting their food to go (or perhaps delivered). There is indoor and outdoor seating; I ordered from the friendly staff member and had my food brought outside when it was ready. I ordered a signature item, the surf and turf burrito, and it was filled with hot steak pieces, shrimp, bell peppers, rice/beans, cheese and spices. It was very good and fairly priced. Had the crazy bird burrito which has chicken, beans, cheese, lettuce and tomato and it was yummy. I ordered the Taco Town Salad with grilled chicken and it's seriously one of the best taco salads I've ever had. It was served in a taco shell which was crispy and had a charred taste to it. This was unfortunately some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had :( The menu seems to really sell it as authentic or at least México inspired - it's not. Salsa was laughably bad (we literally laughed at how bad it was, there was no other way to respond). I give 3 stars because the service was good, the place was clean, and the ingredients seemed fresh. My husband and I love coming here! It's a bit of a drive but well worth it! The food is always super fresh and packed with flavor! The people that work here are always friendly and quick to accommodate. Took a star away for this visit because the Mexican Street Taco was too dry (husband said). Not pictured but absolutely amazing was the Nola Taco omg if you love Cajun style chicken this is for you! Outdoor shaded seating is available it's on a quiet country road. To be noted this restaurant uses eco friendly and sustainable products that are better for our environment and oceans!!! read more

Absolutely LOVE this place! I love the cool vibe. I love the decor. I love the friendly staff. I love the salsas. I like the prices. Most importantly, I LOVE the food! Huge selection. Decent portions. Fresh as fresh can be. And the flavor is sooooo bomb! We had the Surf & Turf Burrito. Super tasty and the shrimps were huge! And I had the Smiling Salmon Salad. Words cannot express my LOVE for this salad. I eat out a lot and only one other place has a better salmon salad. ONE. I LOVE it even if it's #2 (imo)! So much to try! MUST go back! Only one tiny suggestion: I wish they used real silverware & plates. Not only is it environmentally friendly, but it's cheaper (for the store) and easier to eat on/with (for me...because it's hard to cut the burrito with plastic utensils in that tiny basket & the paper underneath gets soggy & you end up cutting the paper with the burrito & eating both of it...it's a nightmare for me...ijs). read more

i usually give this place 5 stars, however the last few times i got delivery from here it has been a disappointment. My mexican street tacos were good, but I always ask for extra of the salsa verde (they give you 4 salsas usually) and I never get it. I like to put that salsa on my tacos so when i asked for it and don't get it, it brings down the quality of the tacos for me. The Hawaiian bowl had barely any chicken and was all rice. honestly i'd rather just make tacos at home next time instend of spending $30 on disappointment. read more

Great tacos and burritos here with some interesting twists on Cal-Mex cuisine. One semi-hidden treasure tho is the Shrimp Scampi pizza; a white pie loaded with shrimp and garlic. Pizza at a Cal-Mex restaurant? The previous restaurant in this space was a pizza & Italian restaurant and I guess they left the pizza oven behind. We stumbled upon the scampi pie almost by accident and it's our favorite item on their menu, but in truth, everything we have gotten from Baja Burrito has been excellent. read more

I drive past this place every time I visit my mom and there are not a lot of mexican/burrito places in the area so I checked it out! Just a warning, the parking lot is very small and at times hard to pull out of as it is on a busy street. I ordered the surf & turf burrito as it looked like that was the most popular item on their menu. It was good but there could have been more meat in it. It came with like 6 chips on the side. I will be coming back if I'm craving burritos but I think I like chipotle better? I agree with the other reviews that it did not have a lot of flavor. New go-to place for lunch! Wish I took pictures. My boyfriend and I had never been before, but I'm happy we did. The burrito was nicely wrapped and a decent size, very thick. The tacos tasted authentic and two was enough to fill me. So so so good. Never going to Taco Bell ever again. The decor was adorable too. Lots of colors and a cute small octopus mural. It was quiet and simple. The only staff member was a gentleman, all smiles! Will 100% go again. Kinda hidden on the side of the road in Clinton. Really good, freshly prepared burritos and homemade guac (perfectly under salted). Liked the outdoor seating set up as well. Biggest complaint is their abundance of single use plastics. We dined "in" but everything came to our table in those to-go style containers and individually wrapped utensils. We had high hopes as we love tacos. However, this was a disappointment. The Mexican street taco, which is grilled beef, onions and a lime, came with very little beef and the beef was bland and tough. I've attached a pic. The guacamole was unsalted and bland. Baja shrimp taco had the same issues of lack of flavor. Had driven past it many times and was always curious, so we finally came here on a Friday night for the first time. Small place but very bright and colorful and cheerful. You place your order at the counter and staff brings your order to you. I had the South Street Shrimp Tacos. They are kind of small so I recommend order two versus one. It comes with tortilla chips on the side, and you can choose from 4 different types of salsa at the salsa station. They were good. Not great. I've definitely had better shrimp tacos but if you're very hungry and want your food fast, this place is great. We placed our order at the counter and our food arrived 5 minutes later.
