So an update, Baja Designs NEVER FOLLOWED THROUGH. They never gave me the proper instructions to solve the lighting problem that the squadron headlight created. I ended up removing the squadron headlight from the bikes system, put it in a box and re-installing the original 35 watt headlight bulb. What a waste of $, time, energy. They never offered to accept a return of the squadron assembly so now it lives in a cardboard box and I'll never do business with Baja Designs ever again. Bad reviews travel Baja Design, you can only dismiss loyal customers for so long before poor customer service catches up with you. read more

I recently purchased a BD Onx6+ 40" light bar from Baja Designs. On initial inspection it looked like good quality. However after wiring it up would just blow fuses. Baja Designs sent me a label and I mailed it back to them. When I received it back it functioned as it should. There was a small part (X1 component) that went out on the circuit board that caused the failure. I have been reassured by Cole (BD customer service) that this problem should not happen again and that BD will stand behind their products with a robust lifetime warranty. This company exemplifies the important distinction between COST and VALUE. It matters less what the product costs you compared to the VALUE the product brings you. Their lights are practically overbuilt for civilian purposes. I tried to save money in the past on other vehicles using off-brand internet LEDs and HIDs. One cheap brand ended up costing me more money than I would have spent if I would have just purchased a high-quality light bar due to the damage the faulty mounting hardware caused my truck and the remediation efforts it entailed. Baja Designs makes an unbeatable product and their customer support and warranty is even more impressive. They don't need to offer this level of quality in their products and their warranty, but they do, and that is worth paying more for. In the long-run, a quality product is cheaper than a cheap one. I interviewed there for an engineering position. Of course it's hit or miss whether or not someone is selected. But overall the communication was confusing. I went through a few screenings, one telephone interview, and one in person interview. After the in person interview they told me they would like to schedule a follow up in person interview with the owner. Then they dragged their feet on the follow-up interview and after several of my inquiries about what was going on they responded that I wasn't selected. I asked them why I wasn't selected and they ghosted me. I think the experience would have been a lot better if Baja Designs communicated with me more clearly. baja designs lights have a very high failure rate. there is no tech support, no customer support, and really no sales support. As far as I can tell Anthony is the solitary employee working those departments, and he is also the one that handles shipping issues. I have high-end custom Baja design lights that start at about $5000 and go up. I also have four pods. and a long list of whites on numerous other vehicles that have all failed. This occurs for different reasons, but the most recent problems are their harnesses which appear to be in adequate to handle the amperage of these larger lights. They do not answer the phone. It does not matter if you leave a message, or if you ask for a call back, or if you wait in line. And when you finally get through only suggestion is to box up all of your lights and ship them back so they can check everything. They are shipping has not worked out well for me over the years and I have in general got used to waiting months longer than their estimate. I understand there is now some competition coming out for these high-end laser lights. I am going to go elsewhere with my business going forward and I suggest you do the same thing. The Onyx lights have all failed. As well as their LP 6and LP 9 lights. when I explained to Anthony that I had no other recourse other than leaving an appropriate accurate review. I ordered a license plate bracket for my car to mount 2 off road lights. I was excited to use this item because I've heard a lot of good stuff about this company. The item was $39 + $10 for shipping so about $50 in total for everything. After getting my item, I realized I didn't like it after all. It was an absolute nightmare trying to get ahold of anyone to help me with this return. After waiting 3 days for a response via email, they send me an RMA form to fill out of why I'm returning the item - no big deal so I fill it out. I had to pay out of pocket to return this item. Once my item was shipped back, I'm told I only get refunded for amount of the item. So I lost over $20 in shipping costs and only got back my $39 for the item. Trash customer service. Too many other companies these days to choose from to get what I want that'll give me better service. read more

I just installed a 30" wide OnX6+ LED bar behind the grill on my 2018 Silverado and the light output is amazing. The lit field is wide and close and far all at the same time and 100 times brighter than the stock high beams. Stay away from this place. The HID lights are horrible. I have a 2 8"Lapaz and the internal reflectors started to fog very badly due to high heat that are generated by the lamps. It is worthless. Since then I have switched to "KC HILITES" 70 Watt Carbon HID and the Quality it's 10 times better. read more

Sent in my KLX450 stator for rewind, everything worked when I took it out. It's an extremely easy piece to remove and reinstall on the bike, chances of damaging it during is slim to none. Got it back after a couple weeks, installed, had no spark. The ignition side of the stator had no continuity, it was broke somewhere. Called Baja Designs, "we don't touch that side, and we can't fix that side." Offered zero help. Called Ricky Stator, who gave me some test and trouble shooting tips over the phone, very professional. I ended up eating the $175 I spent at Baja Designs, and had to spend another $200 to get it fixed by Ricky Stator. read more

Serious reconsider doing business with this company. I purchased a fog light conversion kit and lights from them via Amazon. When they were delivered they were missing the bezel that it clearly lists on the item description. Thinking no biggie I'll just call them after install and I'm sure they will send them to me... WRONG! I call and they said it would be an extra $60 for them. I pointed out that it indeed listed the item on the website as included. They said not their fault because it is an earlier version that did not include it, to which I say then why is it listed in the item description?. When asked what I should do the response was take it off and return it and order the new version online. Well screw that I will uninstall the kit and lights and return them as I don't do business with anyone who doesn't fix an error that is obviously theirs. I have never dealt with a company with a standard of customer service lower than Baja Designs. Their lack of professionalism is staggering. After sending numerous photos to validate my issue I was accused of having modified their lights with aftermarket parts. (I did not) Later in the conversation they acquiesced and admitted they did not recognize their own product. They wouldn't honor their "lifetime warranty" without proof of purchase. (So, make sure your holiday presents include a receipt!) This left me with few options. So, I accepted their offer to purchase the failed part and replace it myself- they backtracked and said without reason, "yeah , we decided we're not going to do that now" And when in exasperation I asked to speak with the manager, I was told, "he doesn't want to speak with you because, you know, he talks to people all day long." Wait. What? Pardon me, but isn't that your JOB? So in summation- Their lights broke (without abuse- just quit working) Their "lifetime warranty" is bogus Their alternatives of making me have to pay for parts to fix it myself were offered (I accepted) then rescinded. Their "manager" won't speak to customers. And when you spend $300 plus bucks on a single light (gift or not) I would expect a modicum of respect for your customer. When i ended up getting a hold of someone and made a purchase the parts are of less quality then this company used to make, when I called to let them know about the 2 failed part so soon after my purchase they didn't care and said that i abused the parts and didn't care.
