Each tasting included four pours, including single varietal whites, reds, and blends. We've been coming to Valle de Guadalupe ("VdG") for about 15 years now, however this was only our second visit to Las Nubes Bodegas y Viñedos. Oscar poured for us this time and we had another wonderful experience. The winery itself sits high up on the hillside on the north side of the valley and affords patrons with amazing views across the vineyards, valley floor, and surrounding mountains. You can sit inside or on their expansive deck with many umbrellas and trellis covered seating areas. Their wines are among our favorites in VdG and the service is excellent. They offer charcuterie boards, sandwiches, oysters, truffled popcorn, cookies, and fruit tarts to pair with your wine selections. Las Nubes is truly a must experience winery when visiting VdG.

Heads up, though: the rest of my group of four hated them. Natural wines are a love them or leave them situation. After our tasting, we hung out on the grounds and grabbed food from the Troika food truck out front, and honestly, we could have stayed all afternoon. SO, the $67 winery charges were TOTALLY UNEXPECTED!!! We each shared FOUR GLASSES of Wine. We were told about each wine by a very nice, pleasant and intelligent young lady. We then, however, decided to skip one winery, but we asked whether we could include La Bufadora. WE WERE TOLD, no, no, no. HOWEVER, they had no problem suggesting a restaurant change, which had a 1 hour plus wait!!! Originally, we were set to arrive back at the hotel at 6:45 PM, but we arrived earlier at 4:00 PM. Why no La Bufadora, THEN??? We especially liked this winery because of the SPANISH ARCHITECTURE, and the private nature of our tasting.

There were several maintenance issues, including a broken toilet paper holder and a broken shampoo/conditioner dispenser that wasn't replaced until the following day. The paint in the room didn't match in several areas, and overall it could use some upkeep. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and the property was extremely dusty, making it difficult to enjoy being outside, so we ended up staying indoors most of the time. We also booked a room advertised with a "valley view," but our view was mostly trees and a ditch, which was disappointing and not what we expected. On the positive side, the room itself was modern, clean, and nicely designed inside. With a few minor repairs and better maintenance, it could be an excellent place to stay. The hotel was also very quiet, which made for a peaceful atmosphere, although the room had great AC. Overall, I would rate Casa Frida 3 out of 5 stars. It has potential thanks to its friendly staff

After we ate we walked around for a bit and bought some beer at the store. It's a really nice place for pictures.

Hey son is an ass!! Has no hospitality skills or is aware that customer service is important. We looked forward to showing our friends a good time and decided to stop at this place for our second time. He drove safely (no car sickness!) and got to us to the wineries without a hitch. We toured 4 wineries total, and could choose which ones we wanted, when we wanted to go. It was very flexible to our plans. We even added an extra 2 people and they booked an extra car just to accommodate us. My friend even forgot her purse in the car and he drove it back to us the next morning. We had such a good day and would definitely book with them again. $80 each person including transpo, wine, food (including light pizza lunch!) and snacks.
