I was alone, worried about my safety, my phone was overheating, and I had expensive work electronics with me. In that kind of heat, being stranded is not something to take lightly. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication while I was waiting. I spent several hours trying to figure out what I was supposed to do and did not feel like I had a clear plan. The El Centro team changed that. They told me to go to Pep Boys, coordinated a replacement vehicle, and kept working until I was back on the road. I truly appreciate the effort they made. They treated me with kindness during a very stressful situation, and I made it home safely because of their help.
