Used their services due to my vehicle getting serviced at the dealership, I was surprised on arrival by shuttle because I normally use the rental agency close to the dealer. The girl helping was very nice but the vehicle I got had a lot of wear and tear on it, a ding here, scratch there, scuff here, dirty wheels had a lot of brake dust on them and the windshield had a lot of bird poop on it. It seems like a local startup maybe mom and pop but when you're competing with larger companies you gotta stand out more but in a better way. read more

They gave me a rental car that died on me in 24 hours. The only restitution they offered was to refund me for the single day the car died. I checked my bank statement and they didn't waive the charge. I was still charged for the day I had a dead car. I had to call multiple times to speak with someone about a refund because they wouldn't call me back. They wouldn't refund me the amount. The customer service is not good here. Johnny was AMAZING. I had to rent a car on the fly and for some reason I called Hertz. While holding the line for almost 10 minutes I remembered there are MANY reasons to look for local first! When I called Greenleaf Johnny answered the phone and was at the location I was looking at on my map. Wow. Loved it already. The rates were cheaper and the shuttle arrived a few minutes after I got off the phone! Car was clean like new. No drama, easy in and easy out! MOST IMPORTANTLY, when I returned the car I forgot I was hiding a Christmas present for my son in the trunk! I was stuck and I didn't want my son to see it. Johnny, aka Johnny-on-the-spot, immediately offered to take the gift inside and wrap it for me! What!?!?!?!?!? She had some wrapping paper there at the store from wrapping a gift for her hubby. Makala Dempsey and her staff were awesome from the time I picked up their Toyota Camry rental until the time I dropped it off and they gave me a ride to the dealership which had my 2016 Cadillac SRX for 6 days. They worked like a well run team. Each one would offer to jump in and help the other if needed to speed up the process. Every single person at Greenleaf was outstanding as was the Toyota Camry which was very clean and well maintained. Last week I rented a vehicle from Greenleaf's Carlsbad office while my own car was being repaired. My experience was positive, efficient and definitely exceeded my expectations. I've traveled for decades both nationally and internationally and can attest that the rental process at Greenleaf was the fastest, simplest and most friction-free of any car rental I've experienced. My agent Robert was efficient, courteous, professional and patient. He handed me a simple, one-page rental agreement and answered my questions completely and thoughtfully. After I turned in my rental, Robert personally drove me in Greenleaf's dedicated customer shuttle at no charge to pick up my newly repaired car. In the future, I'll be sending my out-of-state family and friends to Greenleaf whenever they visit me in Carlsbad. I was impressed by the professionalism and kindness of the staff here. We've had to rent two cars here because it has some kind of deal with the dealership where we bought our car and we've unfortunately had to take that car into the dealership shop more than we would have liked! I was at first hesitant because I hadn't heard of Greenleaf before, but they did a great job and we had no problems. Staff are really calm and accommodating, which helped a lot because I was super stressed about our car in the shop! The only downside was we couldn't get a rental fast enough the second time but I'm fairly certain that's because the dealership was lying to us, not because of Greenleaf! read more

I found a hidden gem and next time I am renting a car from GreenLeaf. I brought my car into Ken Grody Ford for some warranty work and they provided a rental car from GreenLeaf. It was a great experience! It was quick and easy to get the car (which was perfect). When it was time to return the car I asked how to best deal with transferring my two car seats and kid gear back to my old car. GreenLeaf offered to drive me back to the dealership in my rental car to keep the process as easy as possible. I saw the invoice and it was super reasonable! read more

I found this rental agency purely by accident. I'm very glad I did. GreenLeaf only offers low emission vehicles that not only help save the planet, but use less gas. This in turn helps you, the consumer, save money! I had to rent a car due to my car's transmission breaking down. Another local "cheap" agency required a $400 deposit on a credit card. I don't use credit cards, only debt cards. I had cash for a deposit, but they only could accept credit. In steps GreenLeaf. They don't require a credit card deposit. In fact, they don't require a deposit. They charged me for the use of the car that I was renting and that was it. How convenient is that for someone who doesn't use credit cards! Anyway, to make a long story short, I found the staff here to be very pleasant to work with each and every time I've used them. Of the three times I've rented with them, I received a free upgrade twice. Once, it sounded like just because they had an extra car and the second was that I had a reservation for a particular class of car, but they had run out of that particular class when I arrived. Again, since they only offer low emission vehicles, I saved a ton on fuel charges for driving an overall huge distance over the duration of the rental. If I had gone with another rental agency, and used a car with a larger engine, I would have ended up paying double for gas. All in all, I'm very happy I found GreenLeaf rent a car. If I ever need a rental again, I'm sure to give these guys a call. read more

Best rental car experience EVER! They are professional, kind, super nice & its easy to reserve and get your car. They only hold $150 Vs $300 that Enterprise and so many others hold as a deposit. Their rates are way better than Enterprise, Hertz etc. Oh, and THEY HAVE A SHUTTLE! No other rental car place I have found has that anymore!! I bought a new Jeep that broke the first day I bought it and broke a lot after that. The dealership sent me to Greenleaf for most of my rentals. My only real complaint is the gas level was always at a weird level. If it's full it's easy for me to bring it back full. If it's 40% full it's trickier for me to return it 40% full. read more
