I came to eat today, I was in the mood for a burrito. If I could give zero stars I would.. first the girl at the counter.. all she does is stare at you NO SMILE! Looks like she hates her job. No customer service at all. For the food it was terrible because they loaded the burrito with beans hardly any meat and full of cheese and sauce and popped it in the Microwave YUK! I was expecting fresh food with a homemade taste nope the sauce tastes like it came out of a can. Save yourselves the trip and eat real food somewhere else. I can see that people only come here because it's CHEAP but it's also CHEAP food so you get what you pay for. They only take cash which also sucks and there's no music it's so boring. read more

Have had there food their food three time in two years. Two times it was cold...this last time not only did they get the order wrong (chicken instead of steak...was on receipt too) the server Leslie told me, "its only chicken it won't kill you!" Instead of an apology and offer to make it right. Had to TELL her to re do the meal. Nothing but bad attitude and service. Manager never returned phone call either. Spend your money anywhere but here! Must be new managerial skills I'm not yet familiar with, cause I am sure their parents didn't teach them to act like that. I used to rate this place a 4. Maybe my tastes have changed, but the last 3 burritos I have received were really bad. I used to live for the carnitas, but twice in a row it was so salty, salt was all I could taste. I didn't go back for a long time. Tonight I tried again but got steak. We lived in Victorville until about 9 years ago and loved this place. We now live an hour away and are only able to return when we are driving through the area about once a year. But we always make the time to stop at Baja Taco for some tacos! Yes, the decor could be fancier and they only take cash. But WOW! The ground beef is so yummy and they use a very good quality cheese with just the right amount of flavor to compliment the meat. I love the crispy fried ground beef tacos and my husband eats the steak burrito. We love them both. My son had simple nachos, chips with cheese melted over them. This kid is a picky eater, but he declared that these were "the best nachos ever." I recommend that you ignore that the place looks like a dive and try the food for yourself. Came last wednesday and it's soft taco (beef and chicken) for .89Cents day!! Don't forget that every wednesday!! We had 10 tacos, chips and beans and we like the chicken the most! They grill it first and minced it, amazing taste! Well done! It so busy but the waiting time is reasonable. Price is good for the portion they make. Place is small but we didn't have a hard time to find one. I think they need more manpower because I have to clean our table by myself and that's the reason why I give them 4 star. read more

This place is great if your on a budget, how ever if your looking for quality food or customer service this is not the place for you. Me and my family placed an order to go and waited 15 minutes for our order to be completed. We walked out with our food(or what we thought was) and continued on home. When we got home it had turned out that the waitress had handed us the wrong bag so we called and the manager said he would take care of us. When we showed up they had out the bag of food that has now been sitting for 30 minutes waiting for us with no offer of making up a new batch of food. Needless to say they no longer have our business after 20 yrs of continued patronage. So obviously this isn't a first at the famous baja taco. The food here is good. I like spicy food and the food here has no spice but for price you can't beat it.

The food was very good. $1.99 buys you two great and tasty carnitas, rice and beans. Sure, it is nothing fancy but the food tastes good and you can't beat the price! My family enjoyed it as we traveled back to Colorado. By the way, someone said it was "dirty." They had a grade of "A" from the health department and I noticed how the help was working to keep the floors swept and the tables clean. read more

I think I finally found a good one, it's cheap, good and the servings are huge! I ordered the Grande burrito believing that other people were exaggerating about the size, they weren't.
