Baja Taco is a Victorville classic. Where else can you go for 79 cent burritos, 99 cent beef beans and rice burritos, or for 1.99 you can get two tacos, beans, and rice! It's impossibly cheap. It's also dirty though, but isn't all good Mexican food? The employees are usually very nice, last time I got a free quesadilla, chips, and salsa. It is always very crowded, so I usually just get takeout. Whenever I go I always get about 5 burritos. Also, they are located in a very ghetto area, expect to be approached by undesirables asking for change, tacos, or lighters. The parking lot is rundown and tight, I would recommend parking further back if you don't want dents from ghetto cars. read more

Every time I've ever been to Baja taco I get extremely fast service and customer service you cannot forget the staff is very friendly and always willing to help your demands. Great value and good food. The chicken tacos plate is a family favorite. They use fresh ingredients but their beans could be less watered-down. Cheap but tasty Mexican food with good portions. The chicken nachos are out of this world! Actually as I'M writing this I'M switching from 4 stars to 5 just because of the nachos. The burritos are huge and the 2 chicken tacos plate with rice and beans for 2 bucks is one of the best deals in cheap quick food.. My wife and I went to Baja Taco in Apple Valley on Bear Valley Road on 1/19/19 at 16:29 ( the time stamp on my receipt. We were told that the restaurant was under new ownership/management. We had been in the restaurant many times under the previous owners and had a very good experience but this experience was horrible and we are not one to write a review when we have a bad experience. First of all we noticed the prices were higher and we ordered anyway because we were hungry. We went to sit down to wait for our order to come up and we found every table dirty on the whole one side ( about 8 or 9 tables on that side). We also noticed an employee sitting at one the tables(apparently on a break) where she could see the dirty tables from where she was sitting. I walked past her and said it loud enough for her to hear, "These tables are sure dirty." She never reacted at all and when she finished her break she got up and went back to her job I guess. There were only 4 people at another table and us in the whole restaurant at the time. So it wasn't busy at all. Had we not ordered we would have left. I went to pay with a credit card and was told there would be a 50 cent charge so I paid cash and then when I got home later I counted my change and noticed I was not given the correct change by Jazmine at Register 02. We had such a bad experience that we will never go back. The employees don't care because the owners don't care about the customer. We have been owners of 2 restaurants and would never treat our customers and never allow our employees to treat customers the way we were treated and leave the tables dirty. And as I said it wasn't busy so the employees had plenty of time to hustle and get things cleaned up and in good order. This place is awesome. The food is good and basic Mexican food. The two chicken asada taco's with beans and rice for $2.00 is the bomb. While I was waiting to order k noticed that a customer had been given the wrong food . He told the manager what he ordered and after rolling her eyes at him she read his receipt back to him and said his order was correct. He then told her that that's not what he ordered .The manager began to speak Spanish to the other employee .The manager then acted like the customer was in the wrong , with total attitude she said she would fix it . Than it was my turn to order ,so her I go I ordered the taquito plate and ask for the guacamole to be put on the side so as the employee went back to tell the same manager the manager said no. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she would not put the guacamole on the side that I had to be on the taquitos. So I asked her what was the difference between putting it on the taquitos and on the side of the taquitos said her manager would not let her do it but he wasn't there to speak to. The bottom line is the customer service was horrible. I love going to Baja taco but I will not deal with rude and unruly people. Some people do need to be fired!!!!! read more

Ordered the same burrito I always get and today it's cold so I asked the cashier to zap it and she says well it's a cold burrito and it will taste funny, well to late for that already taste funny cause it's COLD. I used to enjoy going here and but today was downright awful. I ordered 8 tacos, and a drink it came out to 14.86 gave the cashier 15.00, she didn't give me change just the receipt but I figured eh, its a few cents they're busy whatever. I got my order and went home to find out I only got 4 of my 8 tacos but was charged for 8. I drive back and at this point I don't want the tacos just my money back, I tell the cashier and she goes to talk to her manager. She comes back to tell me he's going to come out and talk to me because they don't give refunds. Obviously were just going to stand there and argue and I was already upset with a growing line of people behind me so I said forget it just make the other half of the order. I don't know how this place is rated so high? I walked in and seen leftover food crumbs were all over the tables and the floor was sticky. There was a large bag of trash next to the atm. Had I noticed the bag of trash before I ordered I would have left! The salsa bar was filthy but the flys seemed to like it. I ordered 2 tacos one asada and one carnitas both with no onions add guacamole. I got to my girls pad and both tacos had no guacamole and a s--t ton of onion. The tortillas were not cooked all the way so they were cracking and falling apart. The asada was burnt. Pieces of meat that weren't burnt were chewy like the connective tissues were not trimmed from the meat. The carnitas I didn't even taste because they were swimming in grease. Needless to say both tacos went straight to the trash. But wait there's more. It's cash only! If you don't have cash its $2 to use the atm on top of what your bank may charge you. That's up to $6 extra on your meal! Seriously?! It's 2015. What a waste of time and money. This is like the third restaurant I have been to in the high desert who's hygiene is disgusting. Ok were do I begin. Well its a good place for the price but the food is not all great. What really upset me was the fact that I accidently lost my credit card at their resturant and haven't notice until I arrived for work. I called them right away and hoping to get some help from the employees locating my credit card or the manager, I was wrong. I ask to speak to to the manager concerning this serious issue and i was hung on, so i though maybe it was bad connection, I called again and no answer straight to the answering machine, the called a third time and one of the male employees pick the phone and ask how can he help me, at this point i told him if can speak the manager concerning a serious issue involving my credit card. The male employee ask for if I can speak spanish so he can understand me better, I ask him If i can speak to someone that spoke english that can help me, well to no surprise the employee hung up on me. at this point i was piss to the max and decided to take action by writing a review and complaining to sever other offices that have concern about very bad customer service. I came here for the first time, and will not be back unfortunately. All the tables were filthy, not a single clean table. Place wasn't busy and could have had clean tables ready for customers. Also I ordered the two taco plate for $3.29 as advertised on their window. Doesn't state which meat. Was told it is only chicken and any other meat would be additional cost. So I ordered 3 taquitos instead for $3.49 and as I took my first bite there was something hard inside, I pulled it out and it was a wooden sharp stick half the size of the taquito. I showed the employees, they didn't offer to remake my taquitos, they acted as if I should have ate it, not knowing whether the stick was cooking with the taquitos, which it clearly was. Could have been very bad. The stick was sharp and hard on my teeth. I asked them to remake the entire thing at this point. As I am waiting for my new taquitos, a couple came in and ordered the taco plate but was told she can order it with another meat no cost. Didn't seem fair or right. I feel bad writing this review but I am not happy with everything and was on lunch and didn't even have much time to finish my food. Had to rush. I will not be back in after today. I would have spoke with corporate but there was not a number listed online. Perhaps there is no corporate office for this place. Oh and to top it off on my way out I go to throw my trash away and every trash can was over flowing and my trash fell all over the floor and I had to clean that up. Terrible experience. read more
