Very nice experience. We ordered the Meze platter as an appetizer and it was delicious. Pita bread was so soft and good. Steak frites was incredible. So tender. Marinated for 24 hours and it's shows. So good. We also ordered the Gyro platter. The Gyro meat was dry and didn't have too much flavor but the salad and rice were excellent. We had the kebab very well seasoned and delicious. Service was also good. Very nice busy atmospher.

A new neighborhood jewel, we had dinner here the other night, can't say enough about the food and service. Totally accommodated my Gluten Free GF. The meat was so tender, lamb chops, kabap and chicken thank you Memet and chef Caglar for very nice evening, see you again soon. Nabil

So delicious! I know they sold the restaurant and created a Greek and Turkish fusion but it still holds the name well as everything is fresh and delicious. The staff is so nice and informative when it comes to food suggestions.the decor of the restaurant makes you feel like you're away from Miami Beach and you can definitely dress up or down here. Very cute for a date night or a night out with friends! Plus the Turkish coffee and baklava is SO legit here!

I had lunch at Bakalo with my Mother a few weeks ago and dinner last night. Chef Charles took over this place in September and has made it a neighborhood locals spot with the freshest ingredients and authentic Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. He sources his ingredients from local farmers and the quality and love he puts into every dish shows. The chicken kebap was super tender and flavorful, I had the lamb chops which were very juicy. Make sure to ask for his homemade spicy sauce if you can handle it! And don't forget to finish off with their almond pudding and some Turkish tea and coffee..absolute must try

A Mediterranean Masterpiece! Bakalo is a Must-Visit. My wife and I had the most incredible dining experience at Bakalo tonight. From start to finish, the food was exceptionally fresh, bright, and flavorful. We started with an assortment of their rich and creamy hummus dips, served with warm pita--a fantastic way to begin. For our main courses, we sampled the land and sea. I had the perfectly cooked, tender steak, and my wife absolutely raved about her whole branzino, which was flaky, perfectly seasoned, and tasted like it had just been caught. Everything felt light, authentic, and truly high-quality. And the desserts? They truly were unbelievable! We finished our evening with the moist, citrusy orange cake, the flaky, honey-sweet baklava, and a wonderfully robust cup of Turkish coffee. If you are looking for authentic, fresh Mediterranean cuisine and memorable desserts, look no further than Bakalo. Five stars aren't enough!

Top tier food top tier service. We had the chicken kebap and the chefs salad with a side of grilled chicken everything was marinated perfectly and the yogurt sauce was perfection! We also had some Turkish tea to finish off the meal that was a perfect way to end the meal. Definitely recommend!

Title: A True Hidden Gem - My Favorite Spot in Miami! I've dined at Bakalo twice now, and it has officially become my absolute go-to whenever I'm in Miami. It is a total hidden gem! The food is top-quality, incredibly fresh, and delicious, with generous portions that are hard to find elsewhere. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. The new owner, Chef Charles (Çağlar), is such a caring and kind person. He personally greets the guests and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, even offering free treats like Turkish tea and dessert that make the experience feel so special. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is cozy, and the overall experience is 10/10. If you want authentic flavors and genuine heart, do yourself a favor and visit Bakalo. I can't wait to go back!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Bakalo on West Ave! New chef , new menu, new crew. That are fantastic This restaurant is an absolute treasure in Miami. From the moment you walk in, the amazing atmosphere transports you straight to a charming, cozy street in Greece. It's the perfect setting for a truly memorable meal. The menu boasts a great selection, but everything we tried was exceptional. The Mediterranean flavors are executed so well--you can tell each dish is prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. A few highlights we loved: · The Adana: This was, without a doubt, one of the best versions I have ever tried in the entire Miami area. Incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. · The Wraps: They have created such delicious and satisfying wraps! An absolute must-try. · The Salads: Do not miss out on the salads! They are fresh, vibrant, and a perfect complement to the meal. · The Liver: For the more adventurous foodie, the liver was a standout--unique and expertly prepared. What truly sets The Bakalo apart is the spirit of the place. We were so impressed to see the chef personally caring for and checking on orders in the dining room. That personal touch and dedication to the guest experience is rare and so appreciated.

This place is an amazing hidden gem. Chef Charles brings out amazing flavors and serves them in big portions. We loved chatting with him and hearing about his passion for cooking. We will be coming back many times to this wonderful place.

We were whisked inside to the intimate, dimly lit interior with a DJ table tastefully tucked away in the back of the space. Service was welcoming but overall, not quite as warm and attentive as I've experienced at other places in town. We started off with the Turkish Manti Dumplings, which were the standout of the night. The complexity yet restraint of flavor, balancing indescribable buttery, roasted, earthy notes with a touch of umami and subtle tanginess from the yogurt. The Mezze Sampler was a nice option for trying three of the dips. All very tasty, but I've had slightly better elsewhere. The Sweet Jeweled rice was the other standout with flavor and textural variety that made each bite pop. I found the Roasted Brussels Sprouts undercooked and lacking the same level of flavor as the other plates. The weakest dish of the evening. The Grilled Whole Bronzino got top marks from the meat eaters at the table. Overall, 4/5 stars for a delicious meal but with tough competition around town limiting my ability to hit that 5.

We decided to do several apps versus getting individual meals as this restaurants theme is to have shareable plates. So many dishes, got the French and Turkish oven pita. Zucchini Latkes were one of my favorite along with the Cauliflower. The seasoning on this was amazing, a bit sweet, and crispy outside. Crispy artichoke I could have done without. It was kinda like eating rice paper, odd texture. Had to try the baklava for dessert along with the pistachio cheesecake and the vanilla, mango and Nutella gelato. Nutella was my favorite.
