    Turkish Tea

Great atmosphere coupled with good food and service... this spot has the right mix of ingredients for an amazing experience. I got the kofte along with a med salad to-go. While waiting, I got a Turkish tea that was offered with a refill. This is excellent. The staff are friendly and the place is well run. Prices seem to vary from the online menu but it's within reason. ¡Excellente!

We stopped for a quick dinner before an event at the nearby Jewish Museum. My husband arrive first and was offered a complimentary hummus plate. It was served just as I arrived. W very nice welcome with warm pita and a delicious bread. I chose the kiftedes or Greek burgers; he got the octopus. Both were delicious, each with a small side salad. These appetizers made meals for both of us. We sat outside and watched as the tables quickly filled. It seems to be a pretty popular place, especially with families. Perhpas we were the only Miami Beach residents that evening. Service was good considering the number of people at the restaurant. We'd go again.

What a great night to sit outside and enjoy a quiet meal. I started with the Greek salad. It was fresh and yummy. I could have used more Feta... but who couldn't? I had the chicken kabab with fries instead of a side salad. The chicken was so flavorful. My server was great. Overall I enjoyed a lovely meal.

Delicious! I really enjoyed everything I tried at Kalamata. The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful and the hummus was rich and creamy. I ordered the mixed platter to try all their different meats and I enjoyed everything, especially the lamb and gyro meat. The flavors were great and everything was cooked perfectly!

If you read my reviews cleanliness is my number 1 PRIORITY at an establishment. Everywhere in this restaurant spotless clean. Amazing location, great service and fantastic restaurant. It is bunch of restaurants on the block, you have options. There is Japanese, Italian, Burger joint and Mediterranean and Turkish. Very refreshing interior, have outdoor seating makes you very comfortable. I must say, its been a while didn't enjoy my dinner as much i did at Kalamata. Very accommodating. Great dishes, grilled octopus, crispy sigara borek, fresh Mediterranean salad. And then Organic Chicken kebab, and Lamb Adana Kebab. Never had a chicken kebab like this, are you kidding me? Then deserts, nice juicy watermelon and of course my almond pudding. Yummm!!! I am not a fan of lemon zest in the pudding, but this one was very light and refreshing. I must say it is a MUST to have that!! Will definitely be back!

My family and I had a wonderful lunch at Kalamata Mediterranean Cuisine. We started with fresh hummus and warm pita, followed by lamb shish kebabs served with bulgur pilaf and a side salad. The lamb was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed pistachio baklava paired with hot tea. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive.

Amazingggg especially for South Beach standards! Decided to check this place out with my mom after having a nice Sunday walk in South Pointe, and it was an amazing end to our day. We sat outside, they also have a cute indoor area and it was packed. My mom and I shared the platter that they have which had a little bit of everything (lamb, chicken, beef, gyro) and came with rice and salad. For staters we also ordered the eggplant dip, and have to say all the flavors were perfect. Came with naan as well. At the end we got baklava which and in 4 pieces and of course some Turkish tea because you can't not get tea (which was complimentary). Our server was very attentive and the food came out pretty fast. Definitely will be back no doubt!

Happened on this spot walking on Miami Beach neighborhood. There are plenty of options, lots of Greek , Italian , Cuban and Mexican. This restaurant had quite a few People there which is a fairly good indication food is good. We opted to sit outside since the weather was good and not humid. There are many options but we wanted to have standard quick sandwich type dishes. We had the grilled chicken in pita. This was chunks of chicken with lettuce and tomato. The gyro stuffed full with tzatziki sauce and fresh veggies. The most delicious was the falafel appetizer. The falafel was well cooked green in color and not dry at all. One of the best I've had. The hummus was fairly standard nothing special. Service was good. This spot is a great drop in restaurant. 82.55 that included gratuity. You have to check the bill in Miami 50% of restaurants include gratuity ... so be aware.

Pretty cute restaurant with attentive service and decent food. We enjoyed the falafel and hummus best, the gyros were good but a bit greasy. It's a nice place to sit outside and enjoy a meal, but it does comes with the South Beach prices.

This restaurant is so cute inside and out! Our waitress was also so attentive and kind! She let me sample the house tea and it was delicious. It was served with honey. I also really enjoyed the yogurt drink which I never tried before and it went so well with the food! I was told it was Greek yogurt, with salt and a little water. Besides that, unlimited bread with your hummus! Yes, please! The food here is delicious. Give them a try!

Some of the pieces are totally worth it while others are a bit common. Berry Nut Lokum: Wow, this was pretty amazing. It was just the perfect mix of textures and flavors. It starts with tangy dried berries on the outside. Then a chewy sweet nougat layer. Then the center is like squishy Turkish delight filled with nuts and berries. Excellent! Kadayifi Nuts: Lots of those thin pastry noodles so it's almost like a soppy nest on the bottom. A bunch of pistachios on top for some crunch and protein. Pistachio Dolama: Like a bunch of pistachio paste merging with phyllo in a wet pasty roll. Not as much texture contrast as everything else, but tasty. Cheesy Pistachio Shell: It looked like kinda like a baklava, but underneath the phyllo and the pistachio mince was this interesting cheese ball. Almost like a pearl instead an oyster, a great surprise! Probably my second favorite item. Purple Baklava: Like a regular baklava, but purple. Couldn't tell if it was meant to be lavender or ube or just food coloring. Looked cool, but tasted normal. Burma Baklava: Perfect for nut lovers. A tight wrap of pistachios inside a ring of tight phyllo wrap. Almost looks like baklava sushi.

So I walked in expecting at least one moment that justified the noise. It never came. The mixed mezze platter landed first, and that was the first bad sign. It felt store-bought, flat, forgettable, missing that rough, honest, made-in-house character that gives these kinds of places life. The pita was fine. Nothing offensive. Nothing worth thinking about again. Then came the lamb gyro platter. The meat was too greasy, and the rest was just there, filling space on the plate. Not a disaster. Not a crime. Just the kind of meal that reminds you of those late-night kebab spots people hit after too many drinks and low standards. I like those places for what they are. But when the bill climbs past 20 dollars, the rules change. Service was good. The atmosphere had that familiar Miami Beach decorative polish, enough to make the place look better than it eats. And to be fair, the menu is big enough that I would try something else before writing it off completely. But based on this meal, 4.8 stars feels wildly generous.
