Only our second time here but we love it the owner is super sweet and attentive. Both times it's been super busy !

hands down THE BEST dessert/bakery in town. ordered the biscoff cheesecake and tiramisu and it was really delicious and flavorful. i loveee how moist and dense the cheesecakes were. ordered some drinks as well and they were pretty yummy. service was fast considering their was only one person working. it is a little small to-go spot so keep that in mind. def would be coming back to try their other products!!

this place is great. the owner is wonderful. the drinks here are gas- they have a yummy energy drink they make that is super fun. desserts are incredible

Twist. Sweet but not too sweet. Perfect!

I'm so happy to have come across this cute little bakery. First of, the energy of Fatima, the owner, is amazing and refreshing. Hard to find just kind and welcoming spaces nowadays. Now for why we here! I'm picky with pastries. So when I say this was one of the best things I've ever tasted! Finished the whole thing! Highly recommend! Will be back :)

I went here on a Friday and it was fairly busy. We were welcomed In and ordered getting our pastries quickly followed by our drinks. The tres leches was amazing never had anything like it! The halal pizza focaccia was very flavorful tasted like a deep dish pizza. We took our food outside and enjoyed it on their outdoor seating. My sister liked the chai but I would have got another drink besides the biscoff coffee. The coffee itself was good but the biscoff was very thick. Maybe if you like biscoff it's the drink for you. I would definitely come back for their Turkish coffee.

So I want to highlight how pleasant is was to talk to Fatima. She has a lovely personality. So welcoming, so real and just a sweet lady. Her service is welcoming and a delight to meet her. For the food, we ordered some drinks which were both delicious and then ordered a few items. Purchased 6 cupcakes, the olive oil slice of cake, I think, which was hella good, her recommendation to train it cuz I wanted the apple crisp coffee. Also purchased 5 cookies the brown butter, oatmeal raisin.

Croissants

I have been in search of a cookie croissant in the Bay area. Last time I had one was in S. California, Corona Del Mar. I was so excited when I found Bake It Up with different types of croissants. Good coffee. We tried their cookie croissant honey lavender and biscoff pleasure. Also, I got a breakfast sandwich that was very filling. For croissant, of course, I got the cookie one and baklava. I will definitely come back to try their other sweets like cupcakes, slice of cake and more bakery goodness. Also, I need to go back to try their Dubai croissant. The place is tiny inside with no place to seat except for outside. Good for to go only. Service was fast. Not a long wait even though they were kinda busy when I came in at 10:15 am. A great bakery addition to Castro Valley.

Very cute, female owned cafe. Ordered Fatima's drink and a danish. The drink was much like a soothing detox tea, lemoney in flavor with fresh ginger and rose petals. Outdoor seating only. I didn't get to try any of the meat items during this visit but they are all halal!

This place is full of genuine people and that's really what gives it the full 5 stars. The coffee list was full of classics as well as unique Arab-inspired items. The Arabic chai was great, and the Yemeni coffee was perfect. The CROISSANTTTTTTT is that's how you fill a croissant!!!! Can't wait to come back and try more, as a kosher person I'm most excited for the halal pizza focaccia (what is the pepperoni made out of?? I'm already sold)

Biscoff cookie tiramisu
Homer S.

The Biscoff Tiramisu is amazing. I also had their coffee Americano. There is seating outside if you want to eat what you purchased. I think the owner served me and she was really friendly and nice.

Pistachio latte

Best pistachio latte I have had. I also tried their mushroom croissant and it was bomb. Women owned and the owner is so sweet, talented and attentive. Best in the area.

Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Latte
Kristina B.

We ordered a bunch of things to try here, and really enjoyed the Arabic Leche Cake (delicate, not too sweet, addictive!), Orange Olive Oil Cake (moist, dense, and light flavor). I also loved the Dubai chocolate pistachio latte!! We also tried the sour cream coffee cake and Dubai croissant. The coffee cake was a little bit dry. The Dubai croissant was pricey, but worth a try especially if you're splitting it with a bunch of people. Service was friendly! Will be back again if ever in the area.

Making it a bit cramp when you're trying to stand in line, look at what's available, and order at the same time. Parking here is hard to get to as well, the lot is super small and fits only one car at a time. If you happen to land a spot here your best bet is to reverse all the way out because a three point turn will turn into a multipoint turn quickly. My suggestion is to park in the lot in the plaza next door and walk over. As for the baked goods the Spicy Lemongrass Chicken Croissant is phenomenal and the Strawberry Moon is a classic. The flavor profiles here lean Asian with many call backs to flavors such as ube and passionfruit. They also seem to change their menu often too so keep an eye out on the newer items as you visit. In terms of aesthetics of the pastries you can see the love in the folds of each one. The strawberry moon croissant is a good example of this because the amount of ridges in the croissant shows how many times it was folded while making it. That alone is back breaking work and truly a labor of love for something that gets consumed in minutes. Last but not least the staff, we love a good mom and pop shop. The entire family is in on this, from the cashier, baristas, and pastry chef. If you're looking for a AAPI business to support, this is the one to go to. They're kind, diligent, and when a pastry sells out you can always count on them to make more. Disappointment does not run in this family! Overall looking forward to continue coming back and frequently be a patron here.

I had been to the church before, but I didn't remember the massive coffee hangout there! It's so spacious and offers plenty of seating. How long has this place been here? I wish it were closer to where I live in San Jose! I could easily imagine sitting in one of the comfortable nooks, studying or grading papers. It's also a fantastic spot to meet up or chat with a group of friends. It was definitely a nice place for a date! When we walked in, there were hardly any available seats, but the line at the counter wasn't long. We found a quiet corner to sit and enjoyed our breakfast. I ordered a hot latte with maple syrup in the name, though I can't recall the exact name. It paired nicely with my pastry. The almond croissant I ordered was delectable, with just the right amount of sweetness and flakiness. My partner enjoyed his cappuccino and savory bacon croissant. We walked up two steps to the restroom and were surprised to find more seats and tables. I wish I had noticed that area when I was looking for a place to sit. Oh well, it was comfortable where we were. The girls should have more playdates with their cousins so we can come here more often. If you've never had any sort of pink chai, then I'd suggest the Pink Chai Latte. I had mine hot, and it was nicely foamed & sweetened. I also enjoyed the Peppermint Mocha, though the flavors were a bit subtler than I'd prefer. The food is fine. There aren't too many Mediterranean options in town (that I know), but you can probably find better if you go farther out. I liked the pita & yogurt in the Gyros (Beef & Lamb) Wrap, but the actual meat & veggies were just adequate. The Saffron Chicken Platter was a lot saucier & more tangy than I was prepared for.. an interesting dish but not one I'd get again.

Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations.
