Here I had the barbecue bacon shrimp that were dipped in their famous barbecue sauce top with brisket. It was absolutely amazing and very flavorful. The owners are really nice and easy to talk to and are very sociable. The bathrooms are super clean and the bartenders and servers are amazing. They also have an event space that would be lovely for birthday parties, wedding reception or anything else. Their brunch is even more exciting! I have to go one star, rude (in my opinion) service will do that. Empty dining room, flies at the bar, so when the server/hostess (I'm not sure), came over and I asked if we could have a table, it was not well received. Then I was told when my full party arrived, we could have a table (not nicely). I completely get that concept but this was, outside of two people, a completely empty dining room, there wasn't a big rush coming and again, there are flies buzzing around the bar. People have bad days, it was hot, I get it, but my experience was my experience. Another person came up after and was kind and said hoped we would come back (we said it was the heat in there, didn't feel like discussing it in the moment), and I appreciate that, but first impressions matter. I was hoping this was a good corner bar where i could come a few times a week. It's more like a nightclub vibe. I paid 16$ for a whiskey and diet. I had 2 drinks, my niece had 2 ciders and we had terrible frozen chicken tender appetizer, the bill was $73. The menu is super heavy. And it has like 50 items, too much. The atmosphere was so cozy. The music was perfect and not too loud as I could still hear the conversation I was having. I got the hanging bacon which was delicious. I also got the Mac Motherload Mac n cheese and the caramel pound cake which were also amazing. Our server was very friendly. There is 20% gratuity automatically so be mindful of this when choosing your items. Also, at around 2 hours of us being there, we were asked to leave the table but were given the option to go to the bar of we liked. The waiters do not know the menu, they are not attentive and forgot utensils even when you requested them. We had the bacon rack. The sauce they had with it was cold on the bacon and did not reflect the menu choices. Also cornbread is inexpensive. Why give such a small proportion with the bacon for $18. read more

Was super excited to try this place! Booked a reservation for Valentine's Day and was given the option to pay for a prix fixe option through Open Table. I decided not to as I wanted free range of their delicious looking menu. When we got to the restaurant the valentines menu was once again presented to us and not told it was the only option for the night. We were sat at a very small table right next to the kitchen doors and got excited for some nice bbq and bacon. Before we ordered we wanted to clarify if we had to stick to the prix fixe menu, yes we did. The prix fixe had two options that included bacon, the deconstructed hanging bacon and chocolate covered bacon, no entrees were offered that included bacon. :( Our entrees came out before our starters which is no big deal to me but you could tell there was some disorganization. The deconstructed hanging bacon was lukewarm and everything was just ok in terms of flavor. The desserts were also tiny. For a grand total of $220 (we stuck to water, which was never refilled), this was not worth it in my opinion. Especially since I didn't even get to order the food I really wanted due to the Valentines Day menu. If I would've known, I would've taken my boyfriend to a high end statehouse for that kind of money. Additionally, the restaurant marked us as a no show on the reservation and I was charged an extra 25 dollars. Thankfully I was able to get a refund but it was definitely a hassle on top of a pretty disappointing experience read more

I went to this restaurant for the first time last night and the customer service was the worst. Me and my friend waited an hour for our food which is unacceptable. And the waiter only came over once to tell us that the food will be out shortly. However, during that time we still had to wait another 30mins before the food came out. She did not bring us and silverware or napkins with our food. My friend had to ask her to bring the silverware and napkins which she did bring out. However, before she walked back over to our table she decided to stop and talk to her coworkers so my friend walked up to her and asked her for the silverware again. She only provided my friend with one napkins so it left me with none. We had to go up to the hostess to get more napkins for ourselves. On my first and only visit, I had mixed reactions: My server was kind and professional. The burnt ends I ate were delicious and nicely presented. The chicken bites I ordered took a half hour to arrive. The server said there'd be a few more minutes to wait and then many more minutes passed. It was as if the order had been forgotten or they were out of something and had to scramble. I wasn't sure. Part of my feeling here is that when the chicken bites arrived, they were warm on the outside and frozen in the middle. I had asked if they were made in-house and was told "yes," earlier. I suppose they are pre-made and frozen but I'm not sure. They didn't seem homemade to me, however based on the breading. I sent these back and was not charged for them. Though I saw in small print on the menu later that it's stated, I was at first surprised to see that all patrons are assigned a 20% gratuity to support the experience of guests and the staff. I assume this is toward trying to help staff earnings. I am willing to regularly offer a twenty percent tip but something bothered me about being made to. Further the receipt had a blank for an "additional tip." It just wasn't a great experience in the end and I was turned off by the circumstances above. This was hands down the worst brunch spot I've ever been to. The food is way too over priced for what they provide. My wife ordered chicken and waffles, and they were the absolute worse. The waffle tasted like it was wood burned, and they did not provide any syrup for the waffles. They gave chicken wings instead of your typical crispy chicken that did not go well with the waffle especially since it was gross. I ordered their Bacon Egg and Cheese burger, and we were told the eggs would be an up charge due to inflation. The burger is listed for $25, we were charged $26 plus an extra $2.50 for the egg. If the egg is part of the burger, I mean it's in the name, then raise the price of the burger. It is ridiculous it even costs that much, and to have to pay MORE for something that is INCLUDED in the burger is ridiculous. Our server was very sassy and barely tended to us. The "shareable" might as well be a side dish because they are not big enough to share with a party, especially for the price they charge. I can assure we will never be eating here again. read more
