    Went here for happy hour- food was delicious and great priced drinks. Love that there is outdoor seating.

    Pub food at it's best! We went after a Drexel U Preservation Society presentation at The Olde Swedes church. They had a St Patrick's Day menu available that we ordered from. I had the fish & chips & DH had the beef stew & a Guinness. Yum!! Just what we were looking for.

    We honestly thought this was going to be a dive so were pleasantly surprised upon walking in. It's really a lovely little spot that's more of a restaurant than a bar. We did not eat but I saw a lot of food leaving the kitchen that looked delicious. Great big portions from what I could tell and it all seemed prepared to order. They have a nice craft beer selection as well as martinis, which is my jam. The bartender was very pleasant and helpful. One thing I want to note is how exceptionally clean this restaurant was. Anxious to go back to watch a game and have some food. TVs at the bar.

    So glad we found this neighborhood gem!! The sweet potato fries were delicious!! The impossible burger was A++. The beef burger was also quite good. I can't forget the hummus!!! Ooooolala it was good!! Presentation could be better, but the taste was delightful. We tried different types of beer they offer and were happy with our choices. Really, really good find!!

    What a rude bartender. We were sitting at the bar, he looks at us and doesn't even serve us. 2 others walk in and he serves them right away. Their menu looks good but the service from the start was just horrible. Then he tells the a female that was walking behind the bar that I said "it was a little unfair" and she gave the nastiest look to me. We left. DONT COME HERE if you want rude and disrespectful service. I was hoping to try the food too :-(

    I had the best time with my husband and my pup. The food was GREAT. Scratch made. The service was impeccable! We stayed for hours and just had the best time ever. We will go every week!

    We then came for St. Patrick's Day... this time we were downstairs, the tables were really small and close together but that's to be expected in Philly. It was also really loud, I couldn't tell if it was from the music or all the people talking loud. We did have a cool Australian waiter though;

    My friend Ian and I came here to have a beer and some Pub fare. My Pierogi platter was very tasty and our bartender (Sadie #2 :-)) was delightful. The place itself was very comfortable and we had a terrific time here. I will definitely come back to try the Fish and Chips which I hear are banging.

    Check out the horribly over cooked eggs. Oh, and these small pancakes are the $7 short stack

    Do they serve bottomless mimosa brunch? Or any brunch mimosa deal?

    It’s actually illegal to offer any bottomless alcoholic drinks in all of PA. Thank the lawmakers in Harrisburg!

Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

As a vegetarian, I can't recommend their seitan cheese steak highly enough - it was savory comfort food wrapped in a perfectly balanced amount of delicate hoagie bun. Since the bar seats were full, we had the choice to head all the way to the 2nd rear bar. We took the short journey to the secluded small bar that was also full and took refuge at one of the four tables. We took a look at the "Beer Bible" or their version of a drink menu. The bartender informed us that we could not sit at the table unless we were ordering food. At this point we ended our pub crawl and left defeated scratching our heads. This was far from a classy place without a line out the door during the week which made it even more alarming. Interesting experience as our last taste of Philly.

We asked for the toppings on the side because, you know, kids, but WOW. The vodka sauce was delicious, and the pickled tomato concoction that came with them? I could've bathed in it. The calamari was perfectly crisp and came with the unexpected bonus of onion rings, which were ever-so-lightly battered and perfectly crunchy. And once again, the sauces were superb. The boys shared a cheese pizza, half pepperoni, and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger, and yes, I stole a bite--and yes, to no one's surprise, it was amazing. We also ordered the charred broccoli after seeing everyone rave about it online. They were NOT wrong. Creamy, smoky, charred perfection. And finally... drumroll please... the 10 oz. smoked Duroc pork chop! OH. EM. GEEE. Perfectly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside, sitting in the most delicious smoky morita-apricot glaze and topped with a bright cucumber-melon salad with mint and blue basil. The contrast was perfection! The rich, smoky pork, the sweet and slightly spicy glaze, and that cool, fresh salad on top. Every bite had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had. As wonderful as the food was, the service somehow made the experience even better. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like family coming home for the holidays. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. What an absolute joy of a restaurant. Neither of us were hungry enough for a big dinner, and we were too tired to wander the city. Moriarty's came up in a yelp search, and we love an Irish pub, so we decided we'd give it a shot. The interior space is definitely Irish pub, but also has some pretty touches. It's not too dimly lit, and its not crazy loud, which was super nice. We sat at the bar, and it was a slow enough time that we were able to chat with the bartender a bit, as well as a regular patron seated near us. We had some really fun conversations! The drinks were good, as expected. I stuck with beers, but my husband had their black Manhattan, which he really enjoyed. The food was pretty on par for bar food. My husband had a sandwich, and I had the nachos. Both were fine. Overall we had a great time, and ended up hanging out for a few hours; definitely longer than anticipated! It was a great spot to have a drink, a quite bite to eat, and ride out a storm. I would absolutely go back if we find ourselves in the same area in Philly again.
