I got a cookie and a dessert shake here and it was not what I expected when I asked for a refund. They seemed pretty disappointed. The cookie was like five dollars. It was a pretty big size, but the flavor wasn't really there. The Ube smoothie had these weird little crunchy chunks inside of it and tasted like the most bland watered down ube ever ... I do not recommend
Tried this bakery bar while I was at Haven City Market. They have some Filipino fusion desert items with Ube, which was cool! I didn't really find anything special about their baked items, maybe I just didn't get the right things. Cookie Butter Tiramisu: 3/5 S'mores Cookie: 3/5
Baked Dessert Bar is located inside the Haven City Market. It's a Filipino style dessert place where you can get ice creams, halo halo, cheesecakes and more. Even though I was extremely full, as I was checking the place out the one thing that caught my attention was the Yema Brûlée Cheesecake. It was glistening and looked really good, so I had to get one of those. It is basically egg and condensed milk flavored, which is very Filipino or Asian, and I love it! It tasted really good, creamy, soft and had all the flavors I was hoping for in it. Now to try some of their other items next time. There's a lot of seating area in the middle of the food court, so definitely a place worth trying for some desserts.
I had a good experience at Baked Dessert Bar (West Covina). I ordered the Ube Cheesecake Slice ($7.50) and the Ube Creme Brulee Cheesecake Slice ($7.50). If searching for something unique & delicious, I'd only recommend the Ube Creme Brulee Cheesecake. (Important Note: No Cash Accepted. Cashless Payment Only.) I arrived at Baked Dessert Bar (West Covina) on Wednesday (around 7:20PM). This business is located inside the popular Haven City Market. Parking was plentiful this weekday evening. Baked Dessert Bar (West Covina) felt understaffed. There was just one staff member. Although I had no line, I waited about three minutes before being assisted. Staff was busy making & preparing for other customers. Staff is cordial & professional. When I ordered the cheesecake slices, staff immediately brought them out in plastic to-go containers. As mentioned prior, I ordered the Ube Cheesecake Slice ($7.50) and the Ube Creme Brulee Cheesecake Slice ($7.50). My initial feeling was disappointment because these slices appeared small. However, I'd later realize they were dense and thick; these were surprisingly very heavy slices, so I felt its price was justified. Next, my following observation was that these slices (especially the Ube Creme Brulee Cheesecake Slice) looked ugly and deformed; that particular slice was pulled out from the fridge pre-cut, so the crust came broken. Thankfully, its flavors were amazing! The Ube Creme Brulee Cheesecake Slice ($7.50) tasted unique, fresh, & delicious. The sheer tastiness of this slice is what boosts this review's rating. The Ube Creme Brulee Cheesecake Slice is very creamy & thick. The flavor of fresh ube and syrup flow naturally. Its creme brulee topping even shared a very light, satisfying crackle. "YUM!!" Unfortunately, the Ube Cheesecake Slice ($7.50) tasted somewhat bland. The Ube Cheesecake Slice is also dense & thick, but it contains less flavor & holds a muted sweetness. It's not bad, but it tastes very generic. Regarding ambiance, Baked Dessert Bar (West Covina) is clean & comfortable. It's located inside the Haven City Market, so there's plenty of clean indoor and outdoor seating. The Haven City Market also has a restroom & a paper sign detailing customer internet with password. There's even nearby flat screen TVs that show sports and/or baseball games. It felt well-ventilated, and the upbeat music is pleasant. Overall, Baked Dessert Bar (West Covina) is a good choice for desserts. The products might be hit-or-miss, but I found unexpected pleasure from the Ube Creme Brulee Cheesecake Slice ($7.50). Baked Dessert Bar was okay. I think the presentation of the desserts and how they looked was so eye catching, but the flavor wasn't my thing. We tried a couple cookies and the turon (caramel banana) cupcake and they were all way too sweet for my taste. I also tried the cookie butter cheesecake which was also pretty sweet and just felt like normal cheesecake. I would want to go back to try their ice cream or drinks! Service was pretty good, the girl working there was by herself and was still very nice and helpful.
I'v started to like Filipino desserts, I have tried them from other bakery before. Decided to get some desserts here after our sushi lunch at this food hall. The dessert and drink selections were quite big. I chose matcha tres laches, Ube creme brûlée cheesecake, chocolate chip cookie and a Filipino lemonade like cucumber beverage. The drink was very refreshing with the right amount of sweetness. The service was friendly and fast. A cute little dessert and drink place to get some sugar boost!
We ordered the Ube Halo-Halo ($11.95) and a Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($6.50). The halo-halo came beautifully layered and full of textures: creamy ube ice cream on top, a rainbow of toppings underneath...red mung beans, coconut shavings, jellies, leche flan, crunchy pinipig, and even what tasted like chia seeds. Every bite was different, a mix of sweet, chewy, and icy that felt perfectly balanced. I loved that it leaned creamy rather than overly icy. The Brown Sugar Milk Tea was a classic order, sweet but not cloying, with a nice caramel depth. Service was running a little slow because I think there was a rush of patrons all at once. We were given little buzzers to signal when our orders were ready. The shop itself had a bright, modern vibe and was great for a post-meal treat run. I'd definitely come back for the ube halo-halo again and maybe try one of their many calamansi flavors next time as well.

There are plenty of places to sit after receiving your order. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy. Staff greeted us when we approached the cashier. My mom ordered an Ube Halo Halo and my friend ordered an Ube White Chocolate Chip Cookie and a Strawberry Calamansi Refresher. They were both given pagers which is nice since it allowed us to walk away and be notified when our orders were ready. Everything was ready within ~5-10 minutes. The Ube Halo Halo looked delicious but it did not have much ube flavor and was icy. There was a decent amount of toppings in it which was good. The Ube White Chocolate Chip Cookie was cakey and soft. Not sure if I was a fan of the texture. The flavor was solid, bit a tad too sweet. I didn't try the Strawberry Calamansi Refresher, but my friend enjoyed it. Overall, giving Baked Dessert Bar a 3/5. Although staff are friendly and service was quick, prices are high for what it is. The Halo Halo was $13 and the Cookie was $6 after tax. The Halo Halo flavor was disappointing. Not much to say about the ambiance since it is located inside Haven City. The entire space is light and bright with lots of tables making it a good place to hang out.
First time at this Haven City location and was so excited to see a Baked Dessert Bar here! After dinner, my cousins ordered their ube creme brûlée milk tea, I had one sip & told them to go back to get me one too! (Was holding/feeding my baby so I'm allowed to do this). This drink literally has a chokehold on me and as I'm typing this out, I'm also googling if there's anything remotely close to this near me. The yummy subtle sweetness from the ube mixed with the creaminess from crème brûlée is just *chefs kiss* the best and my favorite part of this drink was the caramelized sugar on top. So good, so delicious and the perfect drink to top off a great dinner at haven city. Will definitely be back for desserts next time!
Intrigued to try other things there but we got the passion fruit calamansi. Got 50% sweet and it was still really sweet and tasted a bit artificial. Their service though is super friendly and they have a great location inside haven city. Curious to try their desserts which look delicious though!
After finishing my meal at Haven City Market, I stopped by Baked Dessert Bar for an iced coffee and ordered the Sea Salt Cream Cold Brew. The drink was okay but could've used a bit more sweetness for my taste. There were a ton of dessert options that looked tempting, but I was already too full to try any. I'll definitely be coming back another time to explore more of their menu and try a different drink and dessert combo.
This place is sooooo cute. I came across this location visiting Haven city it's located right near the entrance to the location. They have a variety of different desserts, tease, cakes, cupcakes, etc. the service is quick. The people are friendly. The food was pretty tasty. However, the prices are pretty high. I purchased two slices of cheesecake which came out to about $20
I've tried the ube cupcake at this location a few times and it always hits the bullseye with moistness, flavor and melt in your mouth goodness. For some reason this time around was a little lacking. I'm not sure if it was the time of day but I went in the evening and it just missed the mark from what I've tasted before. I will be back again maybe I will need to venture to another flavor. Service was great! Neatly organized and clean. Ice cream, cookies and cheesecakes are displayed to tempt your cravings into surrender.
First time coming here and getting dessert and it was good. It's a Philippino baked dessert place and they have a variety of cheesecakes, cookies, and dessert bars. Our friends got the mint chocolate chip ice cream cone and the crème brûlée milk tea. I got the one white chocolate chip cookie which was delicious and a refresher. Overall good service. Prices for desserts and drinks were a bit pricey than I am used to. Will be back again soon. read more
Cute little shop in Haven city. I really liked the mais ice cream, pistachio, and coffee ice cream. Definitely yummy. I tried their ube cd crew. It's was good, but the cold brew wasn't amazing. I'd definitely come back to try their other baked goods and desserts read more
To make myself happy, I wrapped up the night the only way a responsible dessert lover should..... by beelining straight to Baked Dessert Bar. Wild thing is, this place is basically the "welcome mat" of Haven City, yet I've managed to ignore it every single time, like a salad on Thanksgiving. But then... ube heaven hit me!!! Ube everywhere!!!! Yes, UBE!!! Ube in places ube didn't even know it belonged!!! Btw - They do not take paper, so bring your plastic type of payment!! After eyeballing everything like a kid pressed against a bakery window, I dove into an Ube Cheesecake and an Ube White Chocolate Cookie... yummmmmy!!! Cheesecake was smooth and creamy and you can really taste the ube in it!!! Ube Cookie was also delish, i wanted more. Next visit, I'm tackling that Ube Tres Leches like it owes me money!!! I really missed Baked when they were still at Victoria Gardens- no we have to drive a little further for the halo halo. They have the best halo halo in my opinion. so flavorful and had a lot of stuff and the ube icecream just perfect. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They are located inside Haven City. Parking maybe a challenge. They are a lot of restaurants so maybe not going there at lunch and dinner time. The place decorated very Christmasy. read more
Background On Visit: Roaming through the Haven City Market food hall, this storefront caught my eye. As I was perusing through the menu, the ube halo halo was calling out to me saying "Pick me, Pick me, Pick me". :) Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms: Food hall restrooms are available to use. Location/Parking: Located in the main section of Haven City Market. Right when you go in, it's on your left. Parking can be found in the shared lot. Ambiance/Decor: Not much ambiance. There are tables and chairs in the main eating area of the food hall. Service: Service was great. Rose (staffer) and Patrick (Co-owner) was very nice, attentive, and informational about their menu and shop. Dessert Of Choice: Decided on the Ube Halo Halo. It's similar to the vietnamese che bau mau (3 color) dessert, but also has flan, ube ice cream, and the base is like a shake not like the usual shaved ice. I love the variety this dessert bar offers. You can get a cookie, cupcake, shake, cheesecake and cake all in one place. It was hard to choose one dessert so I opted to try a few different items. I started with the Oreo cookie. Aesthetically, this cookie is perfect! It has a chewy texture however, I wasn't getting too much Oreo flavor or sweet flavor. I tasted a bit of flour but, overall it was okay. I moved on the Cereal Milk Tres Leches cake cup and it was good. It has the perfect amount of milk for the amount of cake and the whipped cream is addicting! Lastly, I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake slice and it was okay too. The crust was softer, chewier than what I'm used to and the cheesecake flavor was okay too. The strawberry layer on top is not a compote but, more gelatin like and I didn't care for it. I'd come back to try other items because I love supporting small businesses and the display of all the goodies look very appealing. This dessert place is insane the Haven City Market in West Covina among many other exciting eateries. It showcases plenty of scrumptious & delectable desserts. SEE PHOTOS and drool!!! Parking can be a challenge as this plaza shares it with many other businesses. Staff were friendly, there were 2 manning the station. Once you order & pay, they hand you a "pager" that will vibrate & buzz when your treats are ready. Wait time depends on how busy they are, mine took about 10 minutes. The halo-halo, which simply translates to mix - mix in Tagalog. It is served in a tall cup with the goodies on the bottom, bits of flan, coco gel, crunchy bits of (not sure if it's toasted flattened rice crispies?) etc. Traditionally it would consist of sweetened young coconut shavings, red beans & cooked bananas, not this one though. Additionally, it would be served with crudely shaved ice with evaporated milk. Definitely tasty but way too sweet! If you have sweet tooth, this will be perfect, it is sentrances. The atmosphere is cafeteria style but more modern & eye catching due to the beautiful orbs of lights on thetill a great dessert. This is located at one of the main high ceiling. Communal tables & individual seatings of benches & chairs are plentiful. This is a great venue to get some meals to go or dine in, perfect for a get together or a meet up with family friends or a casual date. read more
Try the Vanilla Leche Flan Cold Brew... trust! Endless options for sweet goodness from coffee drinks, shakes, cupcakes, cakes, and other pastries. Every item on the menu sounds and looks delish. Conveniently located right in the front of the Haven City Market entrance, you've either got to try it at first look or save room for dessert to go. I was disappointed when they closed their location in Chino Hills. I was so excited to see them at Haven City in West Covina! They are located on the right entrance, on the left-hand side. Right across from Take Ur Seat. Go line. I got the Ube cupcake and Ube cheesecake. Together it came out to about $15. I thought the Ube cupcake was a little underwhelming, did not have a strong taste. Bui cheesecake was perfect! Lots of flavor, definitely tangy for the cheesecake, and had a good crust. so excited, they opened another location and excited to come back! read more
I am a huge Baked Dessert Bar fan. We always make sure to stop by one of their locations whenever we are in SoCal. This particular location was less than par. I rang the bell twice and noone came out. I had to stick my head a bit into their door and asked if they open and then i got served... as for the baked goods, it's as I remember them! Right when we were about to head home, we saw a nice lady inside Haven City Market waving for us to come in. They had a pretty good assortment of desserts, but we ended up getting the ube cheesecake. The cheesecake was very rich, and the ube flavor was quite strong. Simply put, I enjoyed it for what it was and would come back to try a few other items. read more
Not so quick counter service in Haven City, but the staff are super nice. I dropped in on a whim and so glad I did! So many yummy little treats at fair prices, it's easy to get carried away. Displays are cute and colorful, to draw in hungry eyes. They have a great variety of Filipino inspired cookies, cupcakes, cheesecake, halo halo, drinks and more! The baked goods that I tried were rich, but not too sweet. I really liked the ube tres leches and will be back for more! read more
On Grand Opening Day at Haven City Market West Covina (HCM WC), Baked Dessert Bar had not opened yet. I returned to HCM WC a few weeks later to pick up dinner. Baked Dessert Bar is now open. I was enamored by the pretty cookies, cheesecakes, and dessert drinks. I knew I had to try them. They don't have any self-ordering kiosk. You just walk up to the corner to order. Lots of inside and outside seating are available and they are shared by all food vendors at the food hall. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and nice. I asked for her recommendation on a couple desserts. She was kind to give me her honest feedback. Thank you miss! I ended up getting both ube and strawberry guava cheesecakes plus a pandan halo halo drink. Wow, the drink was like $11-12ish! That's a tad pricey IMHO! It was a big cup, but still. It wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be... I like my drinks to be sweet enough to taste delightful. Also I didn't really get the pandan flavor which was disappointing because I love pandan. No sweetness and no pandan flavor for the price I paid is not a good thing unfortunately, hence, 3 stars. Now for the cheesecakes, they were actually pretty good. Very light with the right amount of sweetness. I can taste the ube and strawberry flavors. I enjoyed them very much. I would get them again. Good halo halo variation -- corn halo halo drink. My wife and I enjoyed this at the Haven City Market area. So far the location is good if you don't want to go to a restaurant but want to chill with friends near good restaurants. I want to come again to try their normal halo halo. Baked Dessert Bar is located in Haven City Market, West Covina. Previously, I visited their Rancho Cucamonga and Chino locations and had average experiences. However, this time I tried the Buko Pandan Halo Halo and a slice of their Ube Cheesecake and had a positive experience. I was hesitant to order the halo halo due to its $12 price tag, but it was worth it. The drink was sizable, refreshing, and featured a modern twist--filled with jellies, coconut, and bits of jackfruit, without any beans or corn kernels. The Ube Cheesecake had a strong ube flavor, which was a delightful surprise, as many ube products nowadays lack this intensity. Ordered a Buko Pandan Halo Halo but ultimately, i was very disappointed with the purchase. I'd say the menu picture and name is very misleading. "Buko Pandan" is an actual filipino dessert with coconut milk, pandan, and jellos. Based on the pic, I thought it was going to be buko pandan dessert at the bottom, with a pandan slush, and then a pandan ice cream. The picture itself is also all green, not multicolor with all the original halo halo toppings...also halo halo just means "mix" so just because it says halo halo doesn't mean it has to be original halo halo toppings....had I wanted those toppings, I would have just gotten the regular halo halo drink. To top it off, the dessert was also pretty expensive, around $14 after tax for 1. Another critique is that it did take a long time to get my order, roughly about 25 min to get my one dessert. Other desserts like the cookies and cheesecakes are already ready, just have to be packed to go. Overall, was very excited but after my experience, I won't be back. read more
I was bummed when they closed their Chino Hills location, which we often visit for halo-halo. Thank goodness they opened a new Baked Dessert Bar in Haven City Market. Love the new location. It's situated next to entrance on the left. Look for huge display case of desserts and baked goods. Also, they now have variety of cookies and tiramisu on the menu, which are new. On our recent visit, we got ube halo halo, cookie butter tiramisu, ube cookies n cream cookie and ube taho drink. Ube halo halo was fabulous as always. Not your typical shave ice base halo halo, but instead they use ube ice cream (they also have pandan flavor ice cream) which is better. All classic topping including scoop of ube ice cream and piece of lech flan. Cookie butter tiramisu was good, though I still prefer espresso version. Love ube cookies n cream cookie. They were chewy, tender and full of oreos. Ube flavor was well represented. Unfortunately, I wasn't big fan of ube taho drink which was underwhelming. Lacked sweetness and texture of tofu wasn't silky enough. So glad they're back. Looking forward to many more future visits. read more

I've always enjoyed the halo halo at baked. I was bummed when they closed the Chino Hills location but excited when they opened one in Haven City. Other than the halo halo, their cookies and other dessert items are all good. Service is always good when Im here and plenty of seats inside and outside. read more

They had 6 different cupcake flavors available so we got one of each. Tue favorites were Champorado cupcake (mom's), strawberry cupcake (sister's), Yema creme brulee (son's) and ube cheesecake (mine). We all agreed the worst tasting was the turon cupcake. It had a weird artificial flavor that left a bitter aftertaste. We also got the ube halo-halo and original leche flan halo-halo. The original halo-halo tasted better but I would not order either again. Service was nice but slow. Area is well-lit. 3.5 stars rounded off to 4. read more

Ordered the Dubai chocolate cheesecake and the Dubai pistachio cheesecake on 1/24/25. Service was quick because the cakes were already on display. Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake was okay. Just tasted like a normal chocolate cheesecake. Not worth the price. Dubai Pistachio Cheesecake was better, but the pistachio was lacking. It tasted like there was only a hint of pistachio. I wished they added more flavor which would elevate this cheesecake. Overall, it wasn't worth the value for the cheesecake slices. read more
