I usually tend to talk directly to the people, but this is now the second time I've walked into ice cream chef I had the worst experience possible. A few years ago I came in and the person working the front was extremely rude to me. Let me know I contact with me, didn't greet me, we had to get their attention and when we did, they gave attitude. I ended up walking out and they're not purchasing anything. Years ago when they first opened, I used to work in one of the nearby shops and people that were so kind and reall I used to genuinely care about and support this business, but the customer service has steadily declined. Today, I walked in with my service animal. As soon as we entered, he lay down because it was extremely hot outside. Like most dogs, he was curious about the smells around him, but he remained calm and under control. The employees at the front asked whether he was a service animal, and I told them that he was. While I was trying to place my order on the tablet, no one offered to help me. My dog walked a few steps away from me while still attached to his leash. There were no other customers in the shop. One of the employees told me that if my dog continued to pull against the leash, she would have to ask me to leave. After noticing my reaction, she quietly added that I could leave him outside. I simply replied, "No, thank you," and walked out. I understand the importance of maintaining health and safety standards and following company policies, but the way this situation was handled felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. My dog was not bothering anyone, and there wasn't a single customer in the store. Businesses should also understand that service animals are protected under the law and generally cannot be excluded simply because they are present. A service animal must be under the handler's control, but asking someone to leave under these circumstances was disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

My daughter wanted ice cream after the movies and we decided to give this place a try since it is in the same plaza and it was SO GOOD! We got the PB Chocolate and Nutella and we were both very happy with our choices. They are like $10 each but as a reward treat it is totally worth it! There was only one staff member but she was very kind and helpful! She noticed a customer had their dog outside and offered a cup of water for her pup which was so thoughtful!! There are some counter seating against the wall under some Edison string lights (which should be dusted by the way) There's a kiosk you can take credit card or Apple Pay, so orders have to be placed there too. The order took about 2 minutes to make. It's creamy, richer and firmer than store bought or scooped ice cream. Good taste and texture, but because of the roll gimmick, it's pricier than other places. Half the time they wanna act like the places isn't even open and ignore that you're even in the store. The 5 stars, however, is for the ice cream as it is sooo good! It's fun to watch how they mix and nudge the liquid cream on the cold slab until finally they roll the ice cream and slowly assemble them into a cup. They have several "chef specials" which are in-house concoctions that are pictured on their menu board. Or you can create your own. I chose one of the specialties: "coffee". This ice cream treat consisted of rolled coffee ice cream with chocolate wafers, sprinkled chocolate graham cracker crumbs, chocolate and caramel syrup, and some whipped cream. The ice cream rolls had a fairly strong coffee flavor which I enjoyed and all the toppings were sweet and delicious.
