Went looking for mochi donuts and ended up getting a potato corndog and a siracha noodles corndog along with a matcha mochinut and a chocolate churro mochinut. Also got an iced mocha to wash it all down. There was only one person working the whole store but he rocked it. Quick service and cute little shop with some seating outside. The corn dogs were perfectly cooked with a good coating. I got the half and half for both. Super crispy outside with the gooey cheese inside hit the spot. The mochinut was delish. Perfect balance of sweetness and mochi goodness.

    Sad malasadas

I've been to Mochi Lion twice. The first was fine, the donuts were good and service was friendly. This review is solely based off my second visit which was disappointing and underwhelming. I've previously had their malasadas and enjoyed them, so I ordered half a dozen (2 vanilla, 2 cinnamon sugar, 1 chocolate and 1 blueberry). I ordered these to go, so didn't actually open the box until I got home. And boy, was I disappointed. The donuts were so messily filled that the custard looked like it was just plopped right on top of the donut (also, don't you normally fill donuts on the side and not the middle of the top?). The second disappointing thing was how little filling actually made it into the donut. I cut the blueberry one just to check and there was easily less than half a tablespoon of custard in the donut, which was very unfortunate, because the blueberry one was by far the best one. Anyway, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth because these are pretty pricey donuts and to have them served like this was such a disappoint. The overall taste of the donuts were good, but honestly, not sure if it's worth going back.

Went in and really loved the donuts the Bobba was okay overall would go back to try the corn dogs next and more donuts

Yummy malasadas! After watching a tv show that introduced me to malasadas, I had to find a spot and this was it! Parking is street parking only from what I could see. We went on a Sunday night and was lucky enough to get a spot up front. Cute little bakery. You can use their kiosk to order or if they're not busy making yummy treats, someone can also take your order. They were very nice! We ordered their 3 pack of malasadas, chocolate, strawberry and ube. All were delicious! Will definitely be back!

The donuts were a bit average. It tasted like they had just been sitting there all day and were harder than usual. I really liked the Brown Sugar Boba Milk. Cute little place.

    Rasberry Malasada

No proper greeting upon arrival. The server was busy setting up. I ordered on the kiosk and she came out to serve the mochi donuts then went back inside and didn't tell me my malasada I ordered was being prepared. Not a lot of variety. I ordered the Malasada Rasberry that was full of oil. Completely inedible!!! The taro mochi was oily and seemed old not fresh at all. Would not recommend going back.

Mochi Lion (Covina) serves delicious drinks and goods! I am gobsmacked. I expected a cutesy gimmick, but I exited with quality, fresh products. I ordered the Tasting Combo (1 drink + 1 corndog + 1 donut) for $15 around 12:00pm. I selected the Golden Milk Tea, Potato Original Corndog, and Mochi Donut sprinkled with cookie/pocky crumbles. Tasty! The Golden Milk Tea genuinely surprised me. The cup is thick quality plastic. And the drink was not watered down; rather, it's sweet and milky. I can easily imagine myself returning to Mochi Lion just for the beverage. The Potato Original Corndog is flavorful and purposeful! All the textures and flavors complimented each other delightfully. When I'd ordered the Potato Original Corndog, it was hot and fresh. The crispy outside, fluffy batter, and savory hotdog tasted wonderful. There's no gloopy mess. Rather, each bite is satisfying! The Mochi donut is the least exciting. It's bouncy and soft. However, the glaze was surprisingly very wet and sticky. It had a strong mochi flavor. It's a decent donut. Regarding the ambiance, it's okay. The interior is cramped and small; the pink walls help hide the lacking indoor area. There are several small tables and tiny chairs located inside and outside of the establishment. Service is also good. The lady at the register is friendly and helpful. [Cons] The frontside parking is very limited. You'll need to park on the corner or across the street. The preparation of the corndog will also be lengthy; I waited about five or more minutes for the corndog despite being the only customer. Overall, Mochi Lion (Covina) is satisfying and delicious! If you're nearby, it's definitely worth the visit.

Their mascot logo is SUPER CUTE. Love how the mochi donut is the mane of the lion. Very kawaii, if they have merch, I'd definitely get some! After the Mochinut boom and fall, many independent mochi donut/Korean corn dog places have closed, been replaced by that franchise, and those locations are now closing too, so I'm glad that Covina has a Mochi Lion in its stead. The workers are friendly, welcoming, and informative. Love the small mom and pop vibe. You can either order from the counter or through their kiosk. There's seating inside and outside as well. My friend and I got the Mochi Lion Box which comes with 3 donuts (of your choice) and 2 corn dogs. There is also a self serve sauce station, so you can help yourself too. The neat thing is that you can choose your type of donut and they have not just only mochi donuts, but also malasadas or even filled mochi donuts. . We got the Hot Cheetos and Potato Corndogs both half and half with mozzarella and hot dog. Pretty decently sized and came out warm, but not too hot. If they were just a tad warmer then the cheese pull might have been more impressive, but it's not bad. Solid, delicious junky food that goes great with the sauces that they have there (mustard, ketchup, etc.). For our donuts we got apple (filled) and churro (I believe) and both were quite sizeable malasadas. The filling was spilling out of the apple one. Tastes great warm, sweet and gooey. For the mochi donut, we put surprise me and we got their Fruity Pebbles cereal one. Not bad! Good chewy interior. Overall a solid mochi donut and Korean corn dog spot.

The location is a cute little shop that isnt hard to find and parking is street parking. May need to parallel park for parking. The gentleman assisting us was extremely friendly and was patient with us. There were many mochi selections to choose from and a lot of drink options! You can get a single, 3 pk, 6 pk, a dozen, or a sample package! So many combinations! If you get the filled donuts, those take about 5-10 minutes to get ready. The ambiance is quiet and they have a few small tables to sit and eat inside, One gender neutral bathroom, and a couple of chairs outside. The price of their mochi donuts are reasonable. I would come back again!

I recently visited Mochi Lion, and I must say, this place is a hidden gem! Their selection of mochi is impressive, with a variety of flavors that range from traditional to unique. I went with their taro, funnel cake, and pocky mochi donuts, ube and sugar malasadas , and all were absolutely delightful. The mochi had the perfect chewy texture. The staff were friendly and offered great recommendations, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back to try more flavors. Highly recommend!

Got the $20 combo with 2 korean corndogs and 3 donuts/malasadas. You HAVE to try the ube malasadas! Strong ube flavor but not too sweet. Korean corndogs were crispy and fluffy! The staff was very friendly. Honestly an upgrade from the old dot and dough place. Clean and cute interior. Soft opening PROMO: Buy any korean corndog, get a churro donut FREE!

While we were in the area we stopped by Mochi Lion! They seem to be having their soft opening so we stopped by to take a look. They offer a variety of mochi donuts, malasadas, boba drinks and tea, and Korean corn dogs! It was super cute with a pink and Lion aesthetic. We ordered a Jasmine green tea, matcha filled malasada, and a cheese potato Korean corndog. All of which were very tasty! I'm excited to come back and try some more of what they have to offer! For the cream, corn dog, they have condiments, including sugar, ketchup, chili sauce, and mustard. I didn't get to try them this time, but I definitely will give it a go next time. We stopped in just as they were closing for the night on a Saturday, but they were super kind with my order and greeting me. There is street parking right up front, which was quite convenient. To order you can either go up to the counter or order on the tablet upfront. There's some seating inside, but also more seating outside.

A lovely cafe with scrumptious goodies and refreshing beverages as well as coffee drinks. Eric helped me today and I am on a low sugar diet and needed a beverage recommendation. Eric suggested Iced Jasmine tea with no sugar sweetener. He also suggested a low calorie donut. Eric was so kind and helpful. My friend had a caramel iced latte. The beverages were delicious and the donuts and corn dogs looked amazing! I will definitely be back on my cheat day. The donuts come in adorable boxes perfect for an edible treat to give for a gift. I think I found my gifts for the upcoming birthdays this summer! So, if you're in Covina, try Mochi Lion for some delightful drinks and eats.

When I bought the peach donut, I was expecting something like the strawberry donut where each piece would be coated well and crisp exterior when you bite. Unfortunately, the peaches fall apart and sort of 'slump' over and does not maintain a crisp fruit texture. While off-putting, the slices themselves are coated with something very pungent, I had a piece in one of my two donuts that felt like there was a sort of 'extract'-level ingredient that made it feel like it was taking away from the peach. As much as I love peaches, this one does not slap as hard as the strawberry. I give this a 5 just for the uniqueness of the donut casing and strawberries. I was also surprised when staff placed a complimentary round donut in the bag too. This business felt friendly & welcoming. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 75 cent added charge for card.) I arrived at Bumblebee Donuts 2 (Azusa) on the weekend. Parking is tough since the lot is very tiny. Luckily, I found a parking spot. Staff is friendly and patient. Staff happily answered my questions. Staff also worked hard. As mentioned, I ordered the Pink Sprinkle Donut ($1.80). It's a good quality donut. It's filling and satisfying for a quick sugar rush. YUM. On ambiance, Bumblebee Donuts 2 (Azusa) is busy and cramped. It felt very tiny. And there's only two tiny tables. The location is clean, but it's also very cluttered. Still, the location felt well-ventilated and comfortable. Overall, Bumblebee Donuts 2 (Azusa) is a good spot. It's a humble location, but there's integrity within those walls. I recommend if you're a local. 4.7 out of 5

Just your basic donut thigh, which is all I wanted. Was late in the day so limited on choices, but enjoyed the ones they did have. Service was friendly and they opened pretty late for a donut shop which is good for an evening donut craving :)

It's so fluffy!! (Important: Bring cash! There's a 50 cent fee for card.) I arrived at Azusa Donuts (Azusa) on Friday (around 7:05AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big . Staff is exceedingly personable and welcoming. "Good morning, my friend!" is a common phrase. Staff maintained a bright smile & playful attitude as sudden waves of customers poured in. Staff spoke English and Spanish. I was helped immediately. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Chocolate Heart w/ Sprinkles Donut ($2.00) and the Sugar Donut ($1.75). To my immense surprise, it all tastes very fresh. I adore how the Heart Donut's chocolate glaze comes wet and creamy; its sprinkles add a fun, light crackle. The Sugar Donut is even packed with plentiful sugar; sugar cascades down my chin with each greedy bite. Its fried batter tastes clean and fresh. These donuts are also very fluffy! "YUM!" Concerning ambiance, Azusa Donuts (Azusa) is simple and comfortable. There's a few indoor tables; however, I observed how most customers ordered to-go. It's fairly clean with shiny tables, crisp windows, and well-swept floors, but its interior is fairly generic. Azusa Donuts (Azusa) also has no customer restroom. And there's no music. This business's main sound derives from the loud, humming fridge. Fortunately, the cheerful & friendly greetings and banter from the staff helps alleviate the drab atmosphere. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Azusa Donuts (Azusa). During my visit, this spot felt like a guarded treasure by its locals. The goods are affordable; the staff is kind & welcoming; and its donuts are delicious. There's passion ringing within these walls. If nearby, I wholeheartedly recommend. 4.9 out of 5

Beyond donuts, they also serve coffee, tea, smoothies, and fresh sandwiches. The shop was clean and organized. I had a great experience and will definitely be back.
