It had a sloppy look and was challenging to hold, but it tasted a lot better than it looks. The chicken was served hot off the grill and the onions were sautéed perfectly. I wasn't expecting sliced tomatoes to be included, but it actually added to the flavor. There was a fair share of guacamole. You'll definitely need a fork and knife for this dish. Tornillos Chocolate: This pastry was served chilled, which is exactly how I prefer my dessert. The outer texture was very flaky. It may not appear to have a lot of cream, but there's definitely a large amount packed in! Although I didn't think the food was the most attractive, the taste superseded the display by a long shot. The best way to see how cool the cakes are is to look in the front windows. That's where the best designs are displayed. My window photos give you a sample. You really need to visit in person. I was welcomed as I entered and left alone to check out everything they have to offer. It was too early to eat lunch and I knew I wasn't ordering a cake today. They do have a lot of other sweet delights! For today I asked for their business card and was quickly provided with one. I am glad I have this resource when it's time to gather for a special celebration.

Following day no call, so I come back in the next day ask for her to put the manager on the phone he LIES and says he called me so I asked for the phone soon as he gets on the phone his tone is absolutely disgusting "I told you I would call you yesterday but I didn't have time I'll call you tomorrow" so I'm asking why can't it just be resolved over the phone at this point because it's an inconvenience me having to keep coming in I don't even live in the neighborhood anymore. To which he replies "well I don't know why you keep coming in.. I'll call you tomorrow" and hangs up on me. I will NEVER do business with this bakery again and I WILL inform everyone I know about this disgusting customer service. The pastry was incredibly soft, perfectly soaked with just the right amount of rum, and had a light sweetness that wasn't overpowering. The service was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The staff was happy to answer questions and made me feel like a regular, even though it was my first visit. The shop has an old-school Italian bakery feel that's becoming harder to find, making the experience just as enjoyable as the food itself.

All I know is he's the most decent person and very giving. He makes delicious breakfast meals and sandwiches. His coffee is delicious. He fills my tumbler to save the waste of the paper cup. Everyone knows he has the biggest best donuts of any coffee cart. Unfortunately he said they don't supply him with the coconut donut anymore. That was always my favorite. Today he sliced me off a thick piece of his marble pound cake. It was so fresh and I'm sure full of sugar. It didn't taste sickening sweet though. I'm definitely not hankering marble pound cake now!! When you go to the Q Train at 96th Street and Second Avenue stop and do business with Armando. I try to stop by once a week. We chat about the happenings in the hood. He's saying business is tough in this neighborhood right now. I'm still upset Rite Aid closed and the store is still vacant. Armando lost a lot of foot traffic when that happened.
