We walk by this bakery in the evenings and have been intrigued because it's always busy and there are usually police officers there hanging out, and it doesn't look like it's because there's trouble but rather because the food is good. Thursday night we finally had a reason to come in ourselves ... picked up two tres lèche cakes to bring to our office in celebration of the upcoming Easter holiday. Yes, the cakes were loved by all!

This place should get 0 stars unfortunately not possible. I was so excited to try this place out and became disgustedly disappointed immediately. I just received my Ubereats order and was halfway through my quesito when I found green stuff in the quesito. Clearly they're selling spoiled merchandise. Unacceptable and disgusting.

Everything fabulous when ordering from this bakery ...they're was willing to make my son birthday within 24 hours. How sweet was that! I recommend everyone to stop ordering from any Spanish bakery and run here. Oh yes and all the workers have great personality's.

I ordered my niece's 1st birthday cake from here and it was great and delicious. There was a small hiccup when I went to pick up the cake but Geraldo was amazing. The design that I had originally ordered was no longer manufactured by the company but Geraldo came up with another Elmo designed and the cake just looked beautiful. Thank you again Geraldo for all the help. Will come here for all my cake needs.

Try one of each, you won't be disappointed!

I visit my grandma about once a year in Manhattan. I always make sure we eat at this restaurant. Everything is delicious, wonderful customer service, and an all around great atmosphere! If you live in N.Y., or plan to visit, please eat at this place! Delicious Spanish food just like Abuelas and Nanas all over used to cook!!

It's very colorful. It's also very clean and tidy. My order didn't take long. And my cashier was the one handing out the orders and he had a smile on his face. I got us whole wheat everything bagel with a fried egg, chipotle Gouda, and turkey sausage with chipotle mayo with a hash brown on the side. And when I opened the bagel open I could see the cheese from both ends of the bagel melting apart, I was in heaven. It tasted so good. And the best part was that my bagel didn't fall apart (like some places). Everything was so delicious. I was left very happy and very pleased with this place. I will be back.

I ordered a toasted gluten free bagel with cream cheese and what I got was cold and pale. I took a bite and it was disgusting. Many gluten free bread products need to be toasted to be edible which is why I always get them toasted. My receipt said toasted. The bagel was pale and cold. And falling apart. A different bagel store refused to sell their gluten free bagels untoasted. At least they didn't give me food that I couldn't eat. I will not be going back to NYCB&CH anytime soon because that experience left a bad taste in my mouth...literally. But if I do I will make sure to check my bagel before I go.

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.

I wish I knew these things before I went, because I ended up scrambling trying to find a separate cafe to sit and eat at since it was raining. Luckily there was a boba spot down the street. All that being said, the bagels themselves were excellent. I got an everything, sesame and plain, with a green onion schmear. I was hesitant about the schmear because I don't actually like onions, but was told it's the most popular so I took a chance and was not disappointed. If your priority is high quality NY bagels, this is the spot. If you're looking for bagel sandwiches with other toppings and a place to sit and eat, this is not it.

The service was very friendly, the food was even more so. I was absolutely blown away with the amount of fresh, hand-made cream cheese / butter / spread selections - some of the ones that were available when I came were: Brown Sugar Cinnamon Butter, Garlic Parsley Butter, Walnut Raisin Cream Cheese, Strawberry Cream Cheese, Cinnamon Roll Cream Cheese, Olive Cream Cheese, Nutella Chip Cream Cheese, Lemon Poppy Cream Cheese, Jalapeno Cheddar Cream Cheese, Garlic Herb Cream Cheese, Bacon Cheddar, Chili Crisp, Basil Pesto... I mean seriously the options are ENDLESS. Sweet, salty, savory, you name it. I will admit, it's a bit overwhelming because you want to try it all especially because they're all beautifully displayed. Even after you pick the spread, you still have to choose from one of the many different bagel options too so.. that's the hard part - making choices! There is seating available both in and outside. It's within a great walking distance and easily visible / accessible. Love, love, love!! I'm not from NYC, I was visiting so I will be missing this place whole heartedly - until next time!
