This is a local favorite. Intimate, cute, and the menu has pretty good variety. They have a handful of tables inside and one outside. Order at the counter and pick your table. My mother had the avocado toast and I had the pork belly sandwich. She loved her food. My sandwich was pretty good, but if the slice of pork belly was much thicker, it would have been a homerun. Probably healthier the way it is but when I read pork belly, bring on the fat. When the weather is nice you can dine outside. Great service and a neighborhood gem. read more

On a rainy Saturday morning I swung in for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I will say the place is small and very intimate, they have several staff talking and working - was cool listening to them interact, felt like a tight knit group. I loved my Pork Belly Cubano - great balance of flavors - but I think the Brisket Sandwich squeezed out a win just given its tenderness. And these sandwiches are huge. There wasn't much of a dining-in lunch crowd on this given summer day. The spot was smaller than I would have guessed given the size of the menu. In prepping to write this review, I went to their website, and now I see how many more great-sounding items there are, like the cannoli-cream filled donuts and breakfast sandwiches... Pop's serves a Veggie Burger with Cheddar, pickled onions and Tomato Jam- and by gawd they do it well. One bite and I could tell they're passionate about what they put out. Attention to detail was all there: an earthy veggie patty that didn't crumble into million pieces, Cheddar, pickled onions, mixed greens and the tastiest tomato jam on a toasted English Muffin that actually held up nicely. Dude...my Veggie Burger was a symphony. This is a quaint sandwich and coffee spot almost hiding in Huguenot St in New Rochelle which also offers other beverages, Salads, breakfast items and even cookies. I'm not sure how smooth the coffee is- but there are teas listed and a hot chocolate. I didn't experiment with the last-mentioned but got a tasty Chai instead laced with a hint of caramel(?). Service was super chill from everyone including my homegirl taking my order. Price also rocks. My $9 jam-packed Veggie Burger was lip-smacking and so was my large $4 iced Chai. I heard through the grapevine though that Pop's has a Dannoli dessert but I missed my chance. I got my eye on the Dannoli... just sayin. read more

Pop's is a specialty coffee and sandwich shop that also serves fresh pastries and butter cookies. Walking in it's small but you see all of the employees hard at work, whether they are greeting customers, taking orders or cooking in the kitchen. It's not a lot of seating available but I saw so many people making orders to go or picking up orders as well. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito with a Iced Chai Latte. The Chipotle Chicken Breakfast Burrito was a so good, it had chicken, cheesy eggs, white beans, cilantro and a homemade chipotle sauce. The Iced Chai Latte was perfect and I loved the cinnamon topping. Overall I'm really glad that I came here because my breakfast was really good. The staff was very friendly and I could see why they were extremely busy the entire time that I was there. The food and service speaks for itself. Have been there every day since we arrived for breakfast. Amazing coffee and egg and cheese on a roll. Wife had a parfait with yogurt and berries with granola today and she loved it. Service is impeccable and very friendly. There are seats if you would like to dine in but only did that once. 2 days just did pick up and brought back to the hotel. While they don't have a parking lot, you can find metered parking easily close by. Pop's is a casual breakfast and lunch spot with a couple of tables inside and a few outside. It seems like more of a grab-and-go type place but we ended up sitting at a table outside. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. After doing some research online, we found out that they are known for the Donatello. Think of a cannoli donut. I was sold. Unfortunately, it sounds better than it actually was. Think of a donut stuffed with cannoli cream instead of regular cream. The problem was the donut itself wasn't very good. The hype didn't live up to the experience. I'm so late on this, but better late than never. My mother and I flew out to New York for my friend s wedding and were staying at the hotel a few blocks away. Our hotel only served breakfast on the weekends so, we wanted to find a place in short distance where we could get a bite. I'm not a breakfast girl but I accompanied my mother. We were told about this place and thought to give it a try. It was a cute quaint spot, literally walking distance that served a nice menu option. In Los Angeles, everyone is hung up on the whole avocado toast trend but when I saw they had one with Salmon, I figured I'd try it. My mother on the hand will pretty much eat anything that sounds appetizing and she got avocado with poached eggs. Absolutely delicious! I'm not a fan of guacamole or avocados but this was totally different. We loved it so much that we went there each day until we got on a plane. Even when I was craving an iced coffee the young lady was so sweet to come up with a concoction that couldn't be beat. The atmosphere definitely made me feel like I was home considering that my mother is a New Yorker; the service was superb and the food was delicious. I actually miss this place because there's always something special about being in New York in comparison to LA. Plus, my mother hasn't been able to find anywhere who makes avocado toast the same. Really wanted to give this place 5 stars for the amazing service, but I ordered the salmon toast with a poached egg... and the egg came boiled. Not sure if the chef wasn't in today (which was a Saturday) but the toast also seemed to be lacking some condiments that were on other Yelp photos. Overall it was delicious but was just a bit disappointed. My latte also came in a paper cup, was kind of hoping for an actual cup with latte art. Otherwise, amazing service! They are so so friendly, and the food is great. I came with my dog, was told I was allowed to go inside to order with my dog on leash - couldn't dine in with him so we dined outside but glad that they're flexible. I've been dying to try this coffee shop out for such a long time and I finally made it in . Once you walk in you're welcomed with the aroma of fresh coffee and eggs being made . They have a wonderful pastry selection that's displayed right up front. If you're looking to dine in you may have a short wait but it's so worth it. Went here today for my choice of a new little coffee shop in the neighborhood. I ordered a large coffee with French Vanilla flavor and almond milk along with the blueberry muffin French toast. Coffee is good, nothing great, just average. The food...such a clever idea to use muffins as the base for French Toast. I wish I would have read about the custard. The dish is REALLY sweet, the custard helps tame it in a way but the custard weighs down the dish. Ugh wish I would have gotten it without the custard. Overall good experience. It is extremely small and crowded, but people eat and move quick. I will most likely return to try something different. The staff by the way are great and will have you smiling all day :) read more

Hands down, the BEST AVOCADO TOAST I've ever tried. This says a lot because it's my go to order at almost every brunch spot in New York and when I'm back home with the family in Miami. It's loaded with avocado, pickled onion, sesame seeds, goat cheese, and a poached egg for a small extra charge that's 100% worth it. I crave this avocado toast EVERY DAY. I actually think I may be addicted to it, but that's beside the point. Their French toast muffins are out of this world too! Both cinnamon and blueberry taste delicious. Sometimes we get one for breakfast and save one for dessert to warm up and eat with ice cream. SO GOOD. As for the staff and service, excellent every time.
