    Single pancake

Had high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The single service pancake was mere but a few bites for $12! Flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The tri tip sandwich with coleslaw was ok. Not very flavorful at all. Coleslaw was meh. Food took a bit to come out though they weren't busy. The restaurant is pretty casual and part of the hotel.

What a pleasure to spend a meal at Baked on the River during our short stay along Russian river. They blew us away with the flavor with both the scone and the brisket. The scone with gravy was shockingly robust and every bite was full of cheddar and bacon goodness. When they suggest to add extra bacon - just do it! You won't regret the addition as this dish does not disappoint As for the brisket sandwich - with over 14 hours of love and care, the chef was able to pull the peach flavor into the meat. Soft yet firm enough to keep such a magnificent shape in each cut , the meat is supplemented by the perfect textures of the tomatoes and onions. Every item here is 10/10 and coming for a meal here is worth the drive into town regardless where you are from

Frittata with Swedish meatballs and potato's

My wife and I have been to Guerneville many times. On our way to Armstrong Woods, we decided to check out Baked On The River for breakfast. This is a really cute place that is part of a little hotel in town. It has a small indoor section and several tables outside. The decor is fun with nature art, inviting tables and chairs, cool light fixtures, and a friendly staff. I thought it was rather amusing that every table had a Trader Joe's salt and pepper shaker. The menu had a Swedish theme to it. Not big menu, but everything sounded great. I really loved the two dishes we ordered today. The Frittata with Swedish meatballs sounded off at first, but the flavors and textures in this dish were awesome. We also had their Swedish pancakes, which were not as thin as I've had at other places, but I absolutely loved these. They reminded me of the 49er Flapjacks at Original Pancake House. Also, It felt like a perfect amount of food and we left feeling ready for our hike. I highly recommend this place!

I had heard great things about this place so was really excited to see that they'd be open while I was in town. They did not disappoint! It was a Monday morning so it was pretty quiet, so we decided to we would try to eat outside with our dog. She unfortunately could not handle herself when another dog showed up so we ended up taking our food to-go, but it was still amazing. They had told us that they offer house-made doggie meatballs and so they gave us the meatball to take home as well. I got the spicy mocha, and it probably the best spicy mocha I have ever had. The balance between the flavor of the chocolate, the spiciness, and other warm spices was incredible. My partner got the dark mocha, which was also delicious! In terms of food, we got: Pancakes from the North and added a side of egg. The pancake is super thin, almost like a crepe, and comes with sides of whipped cream, syrup, butter, and lingonberry jam. This was absolutely delicious, would definitely get again. Groovy sconed and gravy - this was the extra winner for us because we are pescatarians and don't usually get to find a gravy we can eat! The veg version has cheddar herb scones (regular version is cheddar-bacon) in a gravy (not sure what they use for the gravy, but we did confirm it's vegetarian). The gravy was thick and delicious, the scones were hearty enough to not get totally soaked and soggy, and the poached egg it came with was perfectly jammy. Our dog was obsessed with the doggie meatballs, she gives it 11/10! We got a sweet scone to eat later, which was also divine. I am definitely coming back next time I'm in town! (Without my dog so we can actually eat at the restaurant and have the full experience)

    Lasagna with side salad

I came here with my husband and a good friend on the recommendation from another friend. We started with a round of cocktails, and the waitress seemed unsure of the drinks. But they came out perfectly and we put in our order for dinner. We all got the lasagna special served with a side salad. I love lasagna and this was like none I've ever had before. I think it was made with ground chicken and a white sauce. It was amazing! My husband had the prix fixe meal which started with split pea soup and ended with mocha cake in addition to the lasagna and house salad. Friendly and helpful waitress and the chef came to check on our food several times. You can sit indoors or outdoors. There was some lovely European bistro music going on in the background and on a Wednesday night, it was pretty quiet in this little restaurant. We'll be back again!

This is a cute restaurant, either a country vibe that is next to the pool area of the r3 hotel. It's a few streets back from the main drag, though worth going out of your way for. I ordered the bacon cheddar biscuits with gravy, though I was informed that they'd run out and substituted the vegetarian biscuit with thyme, though they added bacon on top. OMG, it was so good! My waitress was wonderful for suggesting it.

Tasty Scandinavian food. It is a little on the pricier side. I loved the chocolate peanut butter scones and got some to go. The cream on the pancakes was also a hit. We had a very nice waitress who was super excited about the scones. Overall cute vibes, I think it might be right next to a day club.

Very cute and cozy spot. The food was amazing and I ate it all before I thought about taking a picture. The tea was perfect and comes in a cup or pot. The pot was adorable. My husband said the coffee was a little burnt but overall ok. Their version is sausage and biscuits are delicious. It was decorated for the holidays and had a fire place going. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast/brunch if in the area.

Horrible burger and stale chips. Very disappointing to say the least. The atmosphere looked nice so we thought you try it out.

Baked on the River is a must-visit! We arrived on a Sunday morning and found them super busy. However, we only waited about 5 minutes before getting seated in the garden. The (dog friendly) garden was ridiculously cute, full of flowers and butterflies. The seating was mostly picnic tables with umbrellas. They also had some indoor seating, but the outside was clearly more popular. For drinks, I got an Iced Coffee with Irish Cream syrup and the Blueberry Blast Smoothie. The Iced Coffee was strong/pretty standard, but my smoothie was fantastic! My friends got the Red Velvet Smoothie (also SO delicious) and a Thai Iced Tea (a bit too milky, not enough flavor). For food, I chose the Brunch Bird breakfast sandwich, which had chicken sausage, havarti cheese, lettuce, and egg. The sandwich was small but surprisingly filling, and so tasty in a simple way. My friends all enjoyed their food as well, including the Health Nut Bowl and the other breakfast sandwich variations. Service was friendly, but not particularly fast, which was fine since we weren't in a rush. Overall, totally worth the visit!

What a terrific find this cafe was. We had just finished a hike with a lot of climbing & needed to refuel. What I loved: the setting is gorgeous. Who wouldn't love to dine in a luscious garden- watching butterflies swirl around?!? Our server was quite amicable with a great smile. I enjoyed the veggie frittata (so delicious) & my friend really liked her portabello sandwich. I appreciate the amount & variety of veggie & plant based offerings. The prices are quite reasonable too.

I never leave reviews, but this place deserves a glowing recommendation. The service and food were amazing. I had the avocado toast, which was easily the best I have ever had. The salmon chowder earned a well-deserved award. The lavender mimosa was fantastic as well. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The pizza previously had bacon and egg on it. So good!!!! Last time we were there in October it was still available but you had to go inside and ask for it

Someone else described "the blank look with a what do you want?!" Look. Spot on. The person who is making coffees took off her apron turned to another girl I walked off. My wife stepped up to check on her cappuccino as other people after her had gotten their coffees. The girl handed my wife a cup after pouring the almond milk in and my wife tried it and it was cold. The person then put it on the steamer to make it hot. I'm not a cappuccino expert, but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to steam the milk or cream before pouring it in. We took everything home as we're only about three minutes from coffee bizarre and I was disappointed in my sandwich egg cheddar cheese sausage on a English muffin everything other than the eggs seem to be microwaved what I thought when my sandwich was made so quickly.

Not only were staple long-term vegetarian dishes removed from the menu (polenta lasagna), those that remained were absolutely butchered. The vegan bowl used to be fresh produce from the garden with an incredible sauce that had depth, now it is a tasteless $28 vermicelli bowl that a child could throw together in under 5 min.. Extremely over-fried tofu, no sesame ginger sauce to be found and just a dollop of chili oil on 1/10th of the noodles. The cauliflower appetizer was completely bland and it was very unclear whether it was supposed to be raw or cooked.. We come here (often bringing friends with us excited to share the spot), because it's always been consistently amazing and a good balance of meat and veg options, but it doesn't feel like the new chef is concerned with pleasing the veg customers (though even the presentation on the meat/fish dishes we saw looked messy and unappetizing compared to the past). We gave feedback (out of care/concern, not as "karens") to those who know us there and are hopeful that they'll be heard.
