Service was great and felt like getting a warm hug. Super friendly staff and big smiles to make you feel positive. Kids Breakfast: Two Eggs, pancake, sausage, and hash browns. Kids enjoyed this classic, I had a bite of everything and it was good but a bit standard. River Burger: The buns were way too big on this and it's also a scary sign if the volume of sliced tomatoes looks more than the hamburger patty. We ended up removing half the bun and it tasted much better. Patty Melt: Hamburger on Ryebread. These hamburger sandwiches are always a big tricky because the corners end up empty cavities if the patry is formed round instead of square. We were on our way up to Northwood golf course and decided to stop at this spot. The place was very busy but they had a great turn around rate and you could tell the servers and kitchen staff was busting their butts to get food out. I loved the decor of License plates and just an overall diner feel. We got the chilaquiles verdes and a breakfast plate. The food was amazing. No complaints at all. The guacamole came with the dish (extra points for no extra charge for the guac). Which by the way, the guacamole is made in house and was VERY good! Everyone was extremely friendly and on it. This place is great. We liked it so much we kept coming back for breakfast, as a matter of fact we were here all 3 days of our trip. The food is tasty and fresh every morning the food came out looking the same and to the same level as the previous day. I had the Country Fried Steak twice with the added biscuit and gravy and Guerneville Omelette. Everything was great. Consistency is key! The staff is so good, courteous and attentitve. When we walked in, we weren't acknowledged, which seems to be part of the local culture here and is weird, as hell. We waited for a while and no one came. We usually go to the NORTHWOOD, but decided to try this place. The food was OK, nothing super special. The staff was nice and friendly and the place is nice inside. The portions were really small, about half the size of the NORTHWOOD or almost any other breakfast place. We had the crepes, they were good, but barely any filling. The omelet and has browns were the same, super small and hardly any fillings in it. Hash browns were a small portion too. We were hungry and ate it all. The food was cooked well, just not exceptional or super flavorful compared to other places. Still it's a nice place. We only came here the one time. We're moving tmr out of state. So who knows maybe they make fantastic lunches? They have a lot of options when it Comes to Eggs Benedict, which we did not order. Again we prefer the NORTHWOOD. read more
