We had a really nice dinner here with fresh produce and delicious proteins. We walked in at about 5pm and got a table easily on a summer Wednesday evening, but by the time we left there was a crowd on the sidewalk waiting for a table. We started with the beet salad and burrata salad. I don't eat cheese so we got the cheese on the side for the beet salad - and it was delicious with the pea sprouts and light dressing. My son and husband also really enjoyed the burrata salad. For my entree I had the burger and fries. The fries were a bit soft for my liking, but the burger was good. My son really liked the halibut on a bed of corn hash? We forgot what the menu described the corn as, but my son loved the corn kernels with the corn "hash" under it. He probably would have licked the bowl clean if we were at home. Overall a solid meal, and we may return tomorrow if we can get in early enough to not need to wait. read more

I've stayed at their sister hotel + spa in the past and was super excited to try this Californian bistro on our recent girls trip to Guerneville. Boon eat + drink is a modern farm to table restaurant nestled in downtown. They have a rotating seasonal menu using extremely fresh ingredients. They don't take reservations and there was a crowd forming at 5:30, the service was impeccable. Katie and I shared the grilled asparagus tahini as an app. Soooo good, the roasted chickpeas added a perfect crunch. The service from the maître d' (Kelly) was exceptional! Watching her juggle multiple tasks while managing hords of guests both outside and inside of the restaurant was nothing short of incredible. Her customer service, warmth, and enthusiasm flowed throughout the evening and was a large contributor to our positive experience. We ordered the Beet Salad, Mac n Cheese, Bistro Steak, Black Cod, and for dessert had the Bread Pudding. Pretty much everything was absolutely delicious. The Mac n Cheese deserves a special mention as it was perfectly creamy and flavorful. The one thing I could not get over was the amount of broth in the cod dish. It was simply too much and overtook the dish. The cod itself however was buttery and cooked to perfection. Best dinner we've had in a while ! They don't take reservations so we were lucky to not have to wait. I love a unique farm to table menu, it was hard to choose from all the small plate and entrée options. They all looked delectable. For appetizers, we ended up having a gem salad that had an intriguing cashew based dressing which was a nice twist. The Moroccan carrots were also so well flavored, and loved the bed of yogurt that it came on. We couldn't decide between the half chicken versus the black cod and ended up going with the chicken. It was incredibly tender and delicious and they also really enjoyed the sides of farro with peas and the tzatziki sauce . The whole dish just went so well together, and was super filling and scrumptious. They have regular burger and a Beyond burger. The beyond burger, we ordered it was good but pretty standard. The truffle fries that it came with though were to die for. Great service as well . Would definitely recommend if you're in Guerneville but the quality of food would also be worth a road trip for ! read more

Don't miss this place! It's a small restaurant packed between downtown Guerneville. We definitely passed it trying to find it but glad we did! We just did a walk in on a Saturday evening and got lucky a spot opened up on their front area just in time of us arriving. The seating was a bit tight on the high tops facing the wall but we made it work. We started off with a glass of wine and their grilled chicory salad which was a great starter. We then split the mac n cheese and braised pork. Everything came out well paced and freshly prepared. We loved the polenta and textures on the braised pork dish. Hubby and I came to Guerneville originally to try saucy mamas but when we got there, there was a sign saying closed for private event. So we walked around and ended up at Boon eat+ drink. We were greeted by the hostess and were told to sit wherever. It's a small little restaurant and got pretty crowded when other patrons came. We sat down and had a male server who didn't seem so overly happy for us to be there. Idk, we just got a weird vibe. When another patron sat next to us at a very nearby table, our server sure did communicate with them lots. Anyway, might be because of our color? So we also didn't know that it was women's weekend going on and it was pretty busy. We were told about a soup special they had and it was delicious! I had the steak and hubby got the cod which were both excellent choice. The food was really good and prob will come back just for the food but as far as service goes, we didn't feel welcomed. Highly recommend stopping here on your next trip to Guerneville! We came early on a Friday around 5:30 and grabbed a cozy patio seat. Blankets were provided, which was such a nice touch. The service was fantastic and very accommodating, and the chef made our kid a custom mac, Parm and butter. The Brussels sprouts and beet salad were incredible, and as a vegetarian, I loved the veggie polenta, fresh, flavorful, and comforting. We had the flash fried Brussels sprouts, which were just ok (should have been halved as the centers were tough), the Miso Black Cod, which was terrific: perfectly cooked and served in a rich coconut based sauce over forbidden rice, and the Niman Ranch Bistro Steak, which was stupendous. When you have beef of that quality, the kitchen did the best thing anyone should do: nothing more than you have to. The accompanying chimichurri was a great version of this now classic sauce. Totally disagree with this restaurant! As a professional chef, the dishes did not match the price. It was not good at all and should be skipped. The rice tasted like those microwave packages. A fantastic dinner option in Guerneville. Main Street has only a few dining options, so I recommend coming early to avoid the long wait. We came around 5:45PM on a Saturday and waited about 30 minutes. Boon offers delicious Californian cuisine with seasonal menu changes in an intimate and cozy atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish that night. As a mushroom lover, the boon mac-n-cheese was heavenly. Each bite was rich in umami and truffle flavor. My husband and I stopped by for dinner over the weekend and we had a pleasant experience. We waited a few minutes for a table and the line never slowed down during our time. People were constantly lining up waiting for a table, and it is worth the wait! We started off with the grilled asparagus and it was delicious, it had a poached egg and was plated over a salad that had an amazing vinaigrette. My husband got the burger, medium rare and he enjoyed it. The fries that came with the burger were thin and perfectly cooked, not to soft not too crunchy. My boyfriend and I spent a weekend getaway in the area at the end of October. As I was looking for places to have dinner, this restaurant caught my eye. From the raving reviews and epic menu choices, we decided to go here. I was a bit nervous as we've been to other restaurants with similar ravings reviews on Yelp but ended up being disappointed. My nervousness vanished after sitting in the restaurant. We were also warned by other foodies about the wait but didn't mind as we knew it was Halloweekend and was expected. It was a Saturday at around 8pm. There were lots of people out but street parking wasn't hard to find. We walked over and added our names to the list. The hostess shared it would be a 35 - 45 minute wait so we stood with the other groups. To note, if you are a smaller party, you'd probably be seated earlier than that as it happened to us. We were seated in about 25 minutes! I loved how the restaurant was decorated. It was simple--intimate. My only con was it took a bit for us to receive our water and get our orders in but it was a busy night so it made sense. We ordered everything to share as we ate a fairly big lunch (ramen in SF). Appetizer: Brussel Sprouts: We are huge fans. So flavorful, crispy, and cooked perfectly. We find that some restaurants tend to burn their brussel sprouts so the burnt taste became the focal point, but we were impressed by the lack of smoke flavor in the dish. 10/10. Mac-N-Cheese: This was such a treat. It included mycopia mushrooms and truffle breadcrumbs. It wasn't too heavy and was our perfect size to share. The addition of the mushrooms was so clever as it added some textural difference. We had no issues with this dish either. 9/10. Main Course: Pot Roast: The tender beef was on the sweeter side which we both enjoyed. The creme fraiche was the perfect final touch. They also added carrots and broccolini. Our only con was the parsnip mashed potatoes. It had a chemical-like aftertaste. 8/10. Perfect size for 2. Dessert: Bread Pudding: I forgot to get a photo but this was so delicious and the perfect way to end the evening. 9/10. Overall-- service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend and I are not usually ones to say that we enjoyed every single dish we've had from a particular restaurant but this place is a diamond in the rough. Brava. read more

Our party of 5 was given a 40 minute wait estimate, which gave us time to grab a drink at Rainbow Cattle Company in the meantime. The wait time was very accurate and we were seated inside as soon as we returned. The restaurant was tiny, and seemingly split into two little rooms. Ours had minimal decor and a simple, modern vibe. For drinks, I got a Sparkling Lemonade (bottled), which was tasty. For food, I chose the Moroccan Chicken, and we got an order of the boon Mac & Cheese to share as a group. The Moroccan Chicken was good but not life changing - it had all the right ingredients, but somehow just wasn't that memorable. The portion size was generous though, and I ended up taking half of it home. The boon Mac & Cheese was delicious and I loved the truffle breadcrumbs on top. We probably could've ordered two of these to share between the 5 of us. My friends got the Cioppino (pretty good), Halibut (again, just good), Polenta Lasagna (very tasty, such a unique dish), and the Oak Ridge Angus Flat Iron Steak. While the steak was cooked perfectly, it was really under-seasoned. The Truffle Fries it came with were great though! Overall, we enjoyed this dinner, but it didn't blow our minds. read more
