I had two issues that were on the ceiling of a two story house. We had a problem where 10 outlets stopped working, nothing tripped. Turns out it was a loose wire behind one of the outlets on that circuit. Terrell came out, right on the scheduled time, was very friendly and professional. He talked me through it as he was troubleshooting, and he had it diagnosed and fixed in no time. He charged me their minimum fee for coming out, which is less than other electricians have charged us in the past. Good value for the money. I hate to be the dissenting voice but I trusted all of the great reviews and had them come by to check out a breaker that was getting very hot, identified during a Hope inspection, which far exceeded normal temps. When the guys came they said "well it's not hot now." That's because it wasn't under a load at all. They acted like it was no big deal and I asked them what they thought should be done. The obvious answer would be to put it under a load and troubleshoot from there. But in response to my asking what needs to be done, they shrugged it off and said they could put it under a load and then test to see what it should be vs what it is, but they made it real clear they weren't interested in doing that. It was really clear they didn't have any interest in checking out what the cause was. They were also supposed to get me a quote for additional outlets to be added to the house which I never heard back on. At the end of their visit the guy made sure to point out that he wasn't going to charge me for his apprentices time and expertise. How generous. I will say they were on time and friendly, they just didn't do what needed to be done. read more

Bakenhaus was very professional and well priced. I called for an estimate, and was given a rough estimate, after sending images. I had them install a plug in for a Level 2 Tesla charger. Other companies wanted to charge me extra, because it was a Tesla or tell me that it would require extra work. The workers came and installed the plug in, during a 30 minute work call. We used Bakenhus from Yelp recommendations and they lived up to their rating. We needed canned lighting put in in three rooms, bring all kitchen/wet areas up to code with GFCI outlets, and bunch of smaller odd jobs to make the house we bought safer and more convenient. Robert (owner?) came out to survey everything. I told him what I wanted and he was able to recommend a bunch of things I hadn't thought of which was great. They did the work at a reasonable price, though be warned they are not the cheapest, but I you get what you pay for. We made a couple changes to our kitchen after the work was done, and they came back to adjust a couple of things for us at no charge which was nice. I'd give them a 4.8 if I could, for one weird decision which was made where an outlet right next to a timer switch controlling a water feature outside was also on the timer, so anything plugged into it (our TV system) would work only a few hours a day. Again, they happily came out to correct it free of charge. Highly recommended. read more

CenterPoint Energy contractor performed maintenance on our smart meter late one afternoon, found a burnt wire from the meter to the breaker box. CenterPoint pulled our meter leaving us without electricity in the middle of summer. Robert answered my frantic telephone call and said he would have someone out first thing in the morning. He pulled the required City permit and had the repairs done and brought the riser up to code the next day and CenterPoint restored the electricity. Very nice company! I had the kitchen switch plastic break off, so I looked on yelp for an electrician. Every other electrician I contacted wanted WAAAY more money. Robert, the owner, called me back with an extremely reasonable price. He sent Eric over with an apprentice- who took about 10 minutes to replace the switch. He was extremely nice and professional. Best experience I've ever had with an electrical repair company! It's that time of year when you string Christmas lights in ways that you shouldn't! I didn't tape the final exposed ends and when the sprinkler system came on, it shorted the outside GFCI outlet. I spoke to the owner, Robert, who sent over Eric with his apprentice, Markece, the very same day. Both gentlemen were very nice and professional.
